Story
Meet Maximilian!10 years young | Yorkshire Terrier | Foster or Foster-to-Adopt Needed Maximilian is a 10-year-old Yorkie with all the spunk and swagger his breed is famous for — big personality, boundless energy, and a whole lot of heart. He gets along fine with other dogs, but Maximilian would also love to be the one and only in your life — all the toys, all the attention, all the couch space, please and thank you. He's still working on his house training, so a little patience (and consistency) will go a long way with him. While in foster, Maximilian will be neutered and get a dental, so he'll be settling into his foster home while working through recovery too. Maximilian was pulled from a busy city shelter and was on the euthanasia list — this sweet senior boy deserves a second chance to spend his golden years being someone's whole world. He's looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home where he can decompress and finally relax knowing he's safe. Could you be Maximilian's person? Story
Meet Cupcake! Fostered in New Egypt NJ Cupcake is a sweet 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a loving personality and plenty of playful energy. She is dog-friendly and affectionate. A fenced yard would be ideal for Cupcake. She is leash trained, but she absolutely loves to chase squirrels and bunnies, so a fenced yard would be the best fit or a family committed to extra care on leashed walks.  Cupcake is still learning and will need a family willing to continue working with her. When she’s not in her crate, she needs to be watched because she’s a curious little girl who may try to climb in search of goodies! She also enjoys shredding—and sometimes eating—stuffed toys, paper, and cardboard, so keeping tempting items out of reach is important.    Cupcake is a wonderful, fun-loving girl who would thrive with a patient family that can give her structure, supervision, love, and plenty of positive reinforcement. With the right home, this sweet girl will make a wonderful companion!  She is doing well with house training but still working on it.  She has spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and had a dental.  This super sweet, curious, and playful girl is looking for a loving family. If you're interested in adopting cupcake, please apply.  https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/become-a-foster/   ##2832561##

Story
Meet Scarlette! Fostered in Ambler PA Scarlett is an approx 5 year old Italian Greyhound, who is a former breeder mama.  She is beautiful, sweet, and learning to explore the world day by day.  Scarlett is in need of a patient adopter who will help her to acclimate to being a pet within your household, as this is a very new experience for her.  Although she is still very shy and skittish, she is gentle and loving towards the 8 and 11 year old girls she lives with.  Scarlett can be startled easily by even the slightest noises outside, but has been walking nicely on a leash once she learns her environment.  She has been doing very well with house training when on a schedule and curls up peacefully in her cage when home alone. Scarlette is a total sweetheart, and is dog and kid friendly.  A patient, loving and calm home is the best fit for her to continue to adjust to her new life.  She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and had a dental. If you would like to give Scarlette the loving home she deserves, please apply: https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2818960##

Story
Manuela still needs a foster! She is an adult chineses crested, who we took in from a local shelter and came in with 10+ other dogs from a hoarding case. We have not been able to find a longer term foster for her and she needs to be moved from her current foster home this weekend. She is very timid and needs a patient foster home willing to work with her on coming out of her shell. Another dog in the home is preferred, as it will likely help her adjust. Please apply if you can help foster Manuela! https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/become-a-foster/ ##2832570##

Story
Meet Pickle! Fostered in Jackson NJPickle is a sweet 9-pound, approx 2-3 year old Maltese looking for a patient and understanding home where he can build confidence at his own pace. This adorable little guy is very shy and may hide under a table or find a quiet spot when he's feeling nervous. While he takes time to warm up, the reward is well worth the wait. With gentle encouragement and plenty of treats, Pickle slowly begins to trust. His favorite snacks are cheese and peanut butter, and they're a great way to win his heart! Once he feels comfortable, he'll happily come over to see what goodies you have for him.Pickle is pee pad trained and does well when left home alone. He's still learning to walk on a leash and will need a family willing to help him continue building confidence out in the world. One thing Pickle would truly love is a calm female dog companion around his size. Having a gentle canine friend to snuggle with helps him feel safe and secure, and he enjoys the comfort of another dog by his side.  For this reason, we will only consider a home for him with another female dog companion.  Due to his timidness, we are looking for a home with a fenced yard.Pickle is searching for a quiet, loving home that understands shy dogs and will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. In return, you'll get the joy of watching a timid little dog grow into a trusting companion. If you have patience, kindness, and a soft spot for underdogs, Pickle may be the perfect addition to your family.  Pickle is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To apply for Pickle, please click the link to submit an application.  He is looking for a very special furever home who understands his needs, and. is committed to helping him continue to come out of his shell. https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application/ ##2830168##
