She doesn't like baths all that much but she does okay. She loves treats and loves to snuggle up with you on the couch

Story

Scarlett is a sweet girl. I adopted her as a stray many years ago. I am not sure exactly how old she is or when her birthday is since she was adopted as a stray. Scarlett is a very chill dog, loves to sleep, go on walks, playful, she is a great lap dog and a cuddler. She is dog friendly and LOVES all people and kids!! I am not sure about cats since she has had no experience with them here. Her favorite trick before eating is to stand pretty( pictured). She is a good dog and very sweet. I am needing to find her a new home because I just cannot provide for her like she deserves. Finances are hard and it has been a struggle to provide for her needs. We are moving to a new location due to finance hardships as well and cannot take her. She truly is a wonderful dog and though I am sad that this is the route needed, I know that I am doing right by her to find her a better home! Please give this girl a loving home!!

Though I may be a bit shy around new people, once I get to know you, I’m your loyal companion for life. It just takes me a little time to warm up—after all, I’m very particular about my friends! My days are filled with fun adventures, whether it’s herding my humans around the house, chasing after squeaky toys, or going on long walks where I can show off my prancing trot. I’m happiest when I have a job to do, so I’m looking for a home where I can put my skills to good use. When I'm not on duty, you'll find me snuggled up in my favorite spot, keeping an eye on everything (especially snacks). I love belly rubs and ear scratches, and I’m always eager to learn new tricks. Meet Alazay Alazay is our longest resident dog at the shelter, and at the end of the month he will have been looking for a home for ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! Alazay - or Big Al as we like to call him - came to us when his housing situation unfortunately changed. He used to live a life living on a big farm, but unfortunately had to move into an apartment. Alazay did not do well with the hustle and bustle of apartment life, and all the people and dogs around him made him incredibly nervous. Big Al has had interaction with other dogs, and they have gone great! It just depends on the type of dog and the energy level. If you have another dog, a meet and greet is required. Alazay needs to be in a home with no cats. He is kid friendly! When you visit Alazay, you will find he doesn’t stray far from his toy collection. Although he is a SENIOR dog (9 years old), he LOVES to play and stay active! His absolute favorite is tennis balls! Alazay will be the perfect family dog to someone who gives him a chance! He loves to go for car rides, walks, and is a huge fan of bath time (surprisingly). He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
