Story
Hello, my name is Zamara! I was recently returned to the shelter. My previous adopters referred to me as smart, compassionate, and willing to learn. I just required a higher level of activity and young dog training than they were not able to give me at this time. I`ve lived with another dog and did very well with her. I can be shy when meeting new people but warm up with treats. I`ve gotten along well with kids aged 5-16, I will go into a crate, walk nicely on a leash, and like going for car rides. If you`re ready to make a commitment to an young, active German Shepherd then I`m the girl for you! Please keep checking my profile for updates as the staff gets to know me better.*** Zamara is in a foster home. Please call to make an appointment to meet Zamara. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2023 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)Leash and collar included

Story
Hello, my name is Atwood! I was recently returned to the shelter because I was too much of a puppy and my adopters were not able to work with me or take me to training. I`m a happy, fun, and sweet little boy. Are you ready to be my family and help me become the great adult dog I know I can be? ***Atwood is in a foster home. Please call to make an appointment to meet with him.Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love. Before you plunge into puppy parenthood, make sure to research! There are many rewards to caring for a puppy, but there are also many requirements. Puppy classes are highly recommended for socialization and a positive transition into your home. Puppies love to learn how to be the best dog for your family! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
Hey there, my name is Kourtney! I am super cute, short and stout, a little house hippo if you will. But this house hippo is strong like an ox! Silly like a goose! And dreams of being as free as a bird. Kourtney is a delightful girl ready to find a forever family. When she`s not jumping in mud puddles or racing around the yards, she enjoys snuggling her favorite people and tackling new toys. Kourtney is as tenacious as a toddler (she doesn`t like to share). Share what you ask? Her people with other animals! Kourtney wants to be the only animal in her home and be spoiled like the princess she is. Kourtney loves to play and is very energetic. Kourtney is not comfortable with kids, but would do great with teens and up. Come meet Kourt today and let her steal your heart! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Hello! My name is Ameana! I am a compact little lady looking for a forever family. I am a social butterfly here at the shelter; I love meeting new volunteers and going on walks with them. People are my favorite companions! I would do best in a home where I can surround myself with people I love (teens and adults) and be the only animal/apple of their eye. I like to play with toys and run in the sunshine. I am also crate trained and learning basic obedience! Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Story
Hello! My name is Bear! I am handsome and hunky, and ready for a forever family. I am a mix of some pretty cool working breeds, so I would love to go home with a family who has experience loving a dog with a brain like mine. I am active, bouncy, playful, and energetic. I am affectionate too and love to give bear hugs. Toys are the best and I even like to run up and show you which one is my favorite. I know sit, paw, lay down. I am a smart boy who likes to learn and explore the world. I would do best in a home with teens to adults, no other animals (but wouldn`t mind a dog cousin to hike with), and someone with lots of love. Come meet me today! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings.
