Story
I adopted Coda from a California rescue where I was a trainer. She was very reactive and untrained when I got her. After a year of dedicated training, she transformed into a wonderful companion with several canine friends, including an unexpected bond with a small purse dog. We were inseparable until I moved her to a farm in Lawrence County after getting married. However, the farm life hasn't suited her; her prey drive led to the deaths of our poultry and posed a danger to our cats. Now relegated to an outdoor kennel, she barks constantly. As a busy father and business owner, I can't give her the attention she needs anymore so its no longer best for her to be with me. She has to go. No hip displasia. Love to play, train, hike, run, and just be by her owners side. I know shes older (12-13 I think) but shes one of a kind, I'm hoping to find a loving retirement home where she can spend her remaining years comfortably, happy and getting the love and dedication she rightfully deserves.

Story
Brindle Pitt looking for a new forever home. We rescued him a little over 2 years ago and never had a problem. (He did show aggression at the rescue place he was at towards other dogs, they believe he was used for fighting as he has a few scars on his legs but he was found on the side of the road) He did a meet and greet with our 2 little pups (chihuahuas) with no problem (his aggression was towards larger dogs) he has lived with them for almost 3 years with no problem. He just recently started showing small signs of aggression and we came home to my little pup dead. He had killed him. he just hasn’t been the same since. He shows absolutely no signs of aggression with kids or people at all only other animals. He would do great in a home where he is by himself.

Story
Merida is a 3 year old 44% Australian Shepherd Mix, farm raised. She was rescued from an Amish family in PA that had too many dogs, at 10 weeks old. She was raised on two acres in farm country and roamed free frequently, mostly staying in the yard with an E collar on. She is very friendly and likes to greet people by putting her paws on them, but she can be trained not to do this, as I have trained her not to do it to me. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She loves to run, jump, play fetch, and swim. She is very active and would thrive on a farm with or without livestock, and room to roam. She is partially leashed trained, and needs some work in that area. She is totally house trained and crate trained. All of her gear will go with her, crate, e-collar, and toys. I have to sell my house due to divorce and will be moving to a rental situation. There are many more living options without a pet. I am also finding it difficult to pay for her food and vet care now.

Story
Brimo is once again looking for what will hopefully be his forever home. This poor boy has been failed by humans more than once but that doesn’t stop him from being a sweet, loving boy. Brimo was left tied in an alley as a 3 month old puppy. He was adopted and then returned after months because his new owner had problems bonding with him. She preferred rotties. Brimo was with rescue for months with no interest so we sent him to a board and train facility for 8 wks of training just to make him more adorable. Once again he was adopted and after 3 months was returned last week because the adopter lived with his parents and his Dad refused to even speak to poor Brimo. This dog deserves so much more than life has given him so far. He still has a big puppy mentality, is good with kids loves to go for rides is a great hiking partner. He is good with other dogs but might be too much for a small dog. He’s not a fan of cats. A fenced yard would be the icing on the cake for this guy. If you are looking for a wonderful, loving dog and are ready to make a serious commitment to a great animal please make an appointment to meet Brimo.

Story
Butchie is an adorable little guy who was adopted as a puppy and returned to rescue a year later. Butchie has been in boarding since Aug and really needs to find a family to love. He is good with kids but would recommend kids over 8 due to his energy levels which will settle down once he’s getting more exercise. Butchie is housebroken but may need a little brush up since he’s been in boarding for so long, he’s neutered, crate trained, utd on vaccines. Not sure how he is with cats but he can be cat tested. Butchie has cherry eye but vet recommended leaving it alone since he’s had to from puppyhood and it doesn’t bother him. Both Butchie and the rescue need to get this boy out of boarding and with a family asap. How could you resist that sweet face and those chunky little legs?

Story
Gracie is an adorable little yorkie who spent her life as a puppy producer for a backyard breeder. Gracie is a tiny girl with a black coat with a blue overlay. Gracie took a while to learn that people can be nice to her, she now comes over and wants picked up and will relax and go to sleep on my lap in the evening. Like most puppy mill and by breeder dogs Gracie likes to be around other dogs. She is looking for a home with another small, stable dog to hang out with, no children since she hasn’t ever been around them, MUST have a securely fenced yard, and adopters who have knowledge dealing with dogs that take some time to warm up. Gracie has been spayed, utd on vaccines, clear on hw and lymes and microchipped. She is pretty well housebroken to go outside, will use puppy pads, is crate trained and is good being groomed.
