Junie B is a most gorgeous 8-month-old female Am Staff Bully/Australian Shepherd mix. She currently weighs in at approximately 42 pounds, and she is the happiest girl in the world!Junie came to us from Southern Virginia where she was picked up as a stray alongside her brother. Her brother found a home, she hitched a ride to Ohio! She is a gorgeous girl with one of the most unique coat colors we have seen in a while - a brindle/merle combo. Her beautiful violet blue eyes complete a very pretty picture!Junie is a happy healthy bouncy puppy. At only 8 months old, she may be mostly full grown, but she`s still a baby at heart. Plus, we doubt that Junie had much of a puppyhood. She`s absolutely ready to have one now! Junie is a delightful girl. She is active and playful yet has a nice off switch. She is learning every single day that she is here with us. The progress she has made walking on a leash is AMAZING. This girl is a quick study once she understands what is being asked of her! She seems to recognize what a crate is and is comfortable in one, rides well in a car (even for hours at a time), knows how to sit, and loves her some treats. Nothing better than a food motivated dog! She has proven herself to be pretty dog friendly overall, both here and at the shelter down south, and should do okay with dog savvy slightly older kids (think 8 and up) solely because of her puppy energy and BOUNCE. Meet and greets will be required for both canines and kiddos. Cats are a complete unknown, but we would be willing to try and introduce her to see what happens upon request. Junie is a dog who needs plenty of interaction and exercise - she is a mix of two very active breeds as well as two very SMART breeds. She isn`t a couch potato, nor is she an adult - this kid is still a babe and still in need of all that basic puppy training such as House Training 101 and learning basic house manners. The thing is, at 8 months old, our girl has what is known as an ATTENTION SPAN. Far more than a baby puppy, she is able to actually pay attention and learn things far more quickly! YAY FOR OLDER PUPS! She will benefit from regular socialization as well as attending some training classes. Don`t forget, this chick had a bit of a tough start in life, nobody cared enough to show her how to behave - now we are turning that all around for her and we definitely want her family to continue where we left off! Story

Kaiden is a sweet boy. Loves people but especially loves to be doing stuff. He isn`t noisy or obnoxious in his kennel - he`s actually a really good boy, he just would rather have something to do. So as little as this kid is, he isn`t really a lap dog - he`s a do everything with you dog! Kaiden would probably be fine with dog savvy kids of a certain age, so 10 and over is probably best to keep up with him! Kaiden came to us from the dog pound where he came in as a stray, so we don`t know much about his background. We do know that he is a resilient pup who deserves better. He does a good job of keeping his kennel clean, is thriving with all of the walks we are making sure that he gets and learning new things every single day. He has a nice level of play and a definite off switch. He is a puppy who would likely excel in dog sports and the like - agility and flyball definitely come to mind for this one! He has an independent side that allows him to think outside of the box, and he needs an owner who appreciates such intelligence in a dog. Bonus is that you will have a brilliant boy who doesn`t even take up much space! Kaiden would probably do best with a female canine companion, but we are willing to see how he does with other boys if needed. Cats are an unknown. If we had to guess we think there may be chasing involved, but it is possible that it could be worked with in the proper scenario. Kaiden is a little fireball who is going to make someone get off their butt and walking the Metro Parks in no time flat - he`s perfect for that job! Sweet Bee is a 4 month old (as of 7/20/26) female Hound/Am Staff/Cur type mix who has traveled all the way from Southern Virginia to fine a forever home in the North! Bee currently weighs approximately 29 pounds and we expect her to be about 60 pounds full grown. Bee is perhaps the most submissive of her litter. She is spunky but not pushy in any way, shape or form. Cuddly and sweet as can be is BEE. She would probably do well with a canine companion, respectful kids, and can even likely learn to live with a kitty! Very people friendly and social in general, Bee has the makings of an amazing adult! Being a puppy means that Bee will need a family willing to dedicate a lot of time to her. She will need training, exercise, and structure along with plenty of love. Socialization is key for Bee and any puppy. She will need to go to all the places and see all the weirdness the world has to offer. Meet tons of strangers and friends alike. A puppy means starting fresh with house training, crate training and basic training. A puppy class would be an amazing way of accomplishing that last part! This pretty girlie is Nahla. She is a just turned two year old female Labrador Retriever. Currently weighing in at 45 pounds, Nahla is a little bit on the smaller side, but holy heck is she CUTE!Nahla lost her home due to illness in her family - it wasn`t easy for them, but they knew they needed to do what was best for their girl. Nahla is a very typical labby girl. She has plenty of energy - let`s face it, labs are puppies until they are about 4 years old. Truth! Yet she controls it well despite momentary lapses when the joy is just TOO MUCH TO BEAR AND MUST COME OUT! She is good with other dogs, good with cats, has been around children of all ages and has done very well. We do think she might be a little bouncy for toddlers and babies, but most other kids would handle her quite well. She is house trained, crate trained (she LOVES her crate) and accustomed to being crated when nobody is home. She hasn`t shown herself to be destructive at all when alone, she just prefers to lie in her crate even when the door is wide open. She knows how to sit, stay, down and come. Her favorite treat? Ice cubes. Quite affordable really. Say the word `ice cube` and she is READY FOR HER CUBE! She walks pretty well on a leash, and has not been allowed up on the furniture (yet), so don`t be surprised if she chooses her crate or the floor as her relaxation spot. Nahla`s worst habit is her momentary lack of control when she gets super happy and super excited - she very well may (okay, she definitely will), jump up and bounce off of your to express her joy. Easy to work with and extinguish - not to bad as far as worst habits go! Nahla is NOT a swimmer. She also hates the rain. And wet grass. She does need a little convincing to go out and potty when its wet or raining out - but tell her to `do her business` and she will take care of it despite her distaste for the wet stuff. She absolutely loves balls of any kind (especially the bouncy tennis ones), and adores her stuffies as well. She rides well in the car and has never had any issues with anxiety or sickness while travelling. Nahla is a bit of a piggy girl. She tends to eat EXTREMELY fast, and as a result, is known to `lose her lunch` after consuming it. Sure, she tends to clean it up herself after but...ew. This oddly handsome specimen is Cheese Stick! He is a 10 month old male Bull Terrier/Plott Hound or maybe coonhound or possibly Mountain Cur mix. He`s a mish mash! Currently weighing in at 52 pounds, we think he will have some filling out to do but is essentially pretty much all grown up. Coming to us straight out of the hills and valleys of Southern Virginia, this dude will inspire conversations with complete strangers every single time you take him out and about. Cheese is a happy, bouncy, affectionate, goofy, flamboyant, always sees the bright side kind of boy. Perpetually outgoing and friendly - he`s the poster child for a good time all the time. Cheese is largely a diamond in the rough. He improves day by day on his basic training and leash walking skills. Filled with anticipation and joy when first leashed up, he quickly realizes he can walk like a gentleman and sometimes he does! Food motivated and a quick learner, we believe Cheese will be more than a little fun to work with and train up. He has not shown any reactivity towards other dogs but would probably do best with a sister rather than a brother. He`s probably going to be a little too Tigger like for small children but would love some older kiddos to romp with. Meet and greet would be required for both resident canines AND resident kids. Cheese probably won`t do terribly well with cats. We have a feeling that he can be overbearing but wouldn`t count out his ability to learn to live with them if they are added later on into the home, once his puppy antics are more controlled and he has a little more training under his belt. He is very responsive even if he has a little bit of ADHD - sometimes he just needs a second to realize you are requesting his full attention is all! We do not know what Cheese`s experience is with living in a house, so doubt that he is reliably house trained. He probably didn`t have much of a puppy hood, nor did anyone bother to give him rules or boundaries, but he is hungry to learn them. We think that if he is treated like the pup that he is, is enrolled in some House Training 101 class, and has some structure, he will be fabulous in the home. He has been introduced to a crate and actually traveled in one all the long long way from Virginia, so its familiar to him and will be a great part of his continuing education. He did well on his road trip to Ohio, so we anticipate he will be able to go for rides and trips with you without issue.

Jimmy is a 2 1/2 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who currently weighs in at about 65 pounds. We would never say that Jimmy is chubby, but....maybe a little fluffy? He is an athletic boy who has the smarts and just needs and experienced dog owner to help him reach his potential. He is very toy and food driven, and would benefit greatly from a home where someone takes those drives and uses them to help Jimmy be all he can be. Obedience classes are going to be a must for this kid - he hasn`t ever had the chance to have someone seriously spend time with him and help him learn how to be the best boy. Jimmy has been at Angels for nearly 18 months - a little more than half of his life. He would do best in an adult only, single animal home.
