Jolene is a lovable, smart family dog. She is fantastic with children, was born into a family of youngins, toddler through teens, 5 of them. She is clever, and loves to explore and run free. Our other dogs are trained off leash, she will come back, when she feels. We make sure to be mindful when receiving packages or guests, for Jolene is keen on opportunities to be free. She would be happy in a home with children and other pets, though she does like her one on one attention. She has a good nose, and a desire to please.

Marlo is a lovely gsp who was adopted by a couple very familiar with the breed but their f gsp do not appreciate the attention he is constantly showering them with. ZMarko is neutered, housebroken, gun broke, passed his junior hunting test, good with horses and children. He needs a 6 ft fence, he will jump a 4 ft but doesn’t run off. Owner feels he would do best as the only dog in the home.adopter with German short hair experience would be perfect.

I was transferred from another shelter to give me a better chance at finding my forever home and I’m really hoping that home might be yours.I’m a gentle senior gal who loves cozy naps, soft blankets, and spending time with my people. I have that classic hound charm: soulful eyes, a calm and loving nature, and a peaceful presence that makes you want to sit down and relax with me for a while. I may be past the puppy stage, but don’t worry, I still have plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful, loyal companion.I also come with some great bonuses! I’m housebroken, I walk beautifully on a leash, and I know how to enjoy the simple things in life. I tend to bond more quickly with women and can be a little shy around men at first, but with gentle, proper introductions, I warm up pretty fast.If you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for a deserving senior who just wants love and comfort, I’d really love to meet you! If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. Hi… I’m Peppa! When I first came to the shelter as a stray, I was very scared. The world felt big and confusing, and I wasn’t sure who I could trust. No one knows what my life was like before I arrived, but sometimes new things, and people still make me nervous.The kind people here have been so patient with me. They’ve given me time, gentle voices, and lots of encouragement. Because of them, I’ve started to bloom. I’m still learning that I’m safe but every day gets a little easier.It can take me a little while to warm up to new people. I just need a little patience and understanding. Once I trust you though, I really trust you. I love to be close. I’ll curl up in your lap, ask for hugs and kisses, and follow you from room to room just to be near you. Sweet talk makes me feel very special. Peanut butter and treats help too — those are some of my favorite things!I’m learning so many new things right now. Walks can still feel a little scary sometimes, but I’m trying. I’m also working hard on being brave for medical care. It’s a lot, but I’m doing my best.I would really love a family who will continue helping me grow. If we worked on basic obedience training together, I think it would help me build confidence and bond with you even more. I want to feel proud and secure and I want to know I belong. I need to be the only animal in my home, as other dogs can make me feel unsure. I would also do best in a home with mature teens or adults who can help me feel calm and safe.The staff here say I’m a wonderful little lady. They say I’m sweet and snuggly and that I’ve come such a long way. I may be shy at first, sometimes I even hesitate like I’m not sure I’m “allowed” to get on the couch, but once I know it’s okay, I just want to be close to you.What I’m really looking for is someone patient. Someone kind. Someone who will move at my pace and show me that the world isn’t so scary after all.If you have a quiet home and a gentle heart, I think we could be something really special together!If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings.
