Story
Drogo is a 6 year old male Rot/lab mix. He is a gentle giant but doesn't quite know his own size. He is house trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, shake, etc. He is a loving and loyal dog. Our family is no longer able to give him the love and attention he deserves due to a new infant and job needs. We want him in a loving family. He is mostly good with dogs but gets a little excited and needs some time to adjust. He does ok with cats but needs to be reminded that they are smaller and don't want to play. He would do well in a home with no small children, due to his size. He is non aggressive and very sweet, he just needs to learn some manners. He is a great dog.

Story
Meet Elsa, a happy-go-lucky young lady! She's a medium size girl and just one year old. She came to us as a stray after the finders took care of her for a few weeks while trying to find her owners. Unfortunately they were unable to, but they had nothing but good things to say about her. They reported that she is housebroken and did well with their young child. Elsa is a bouncy, playful and very friendly adolescent, and will throw herself into your lap! She has shown positive interest in other dogs, so if your dog is looking for a sister, feel free to bring them in for a meet and greet! Elsa cannot wait to meet you! Story
It's a nice time for a Nice Guy. That big head has nothing but love in it. Nice Guy loves to be around people and will wiggle his way into your heart. He's one of our more laid-back residents here, and walks with a loose leash. He actually prefers snuggles over vigorous exercise, so if you're more about cozy nights in than galivanting around, he's your guy! Speaking of snuggles, he's very cuddly and thinks he's a lap dog. He has previously lived with children as young as 7, and he is very responsive to training cues. Nice Guy is a little unsure around other dogs so he may prefer to be the only dog in the home, at least at first. If you're looking for a pup that will melt your heart and be your best buddy, come meet Nice Guy today! Story
Meet Ed Bighead! His pictures won't even do him justice. You have to come see him in person. This guy is a ROCK and we LOVE him. He's a big boy with a giant head and a huge heart. He loves his people more than anything else in the world; personally, I know that I would feel safer with him in my house. He can be dog selective, so he would definitely be happier as the only guy in the house who can soak up all of your love and attention! Come down and meet your future brick of a son today! Story
Meet Lua! This girl is bursting with energy, and is just shy of 2 years old, so if you are looking for an energetic gal without having to deal with the actual puppy phase... She's your gal! Lua has the sweetest face we've ever seen. She came in very skinny, and we have slowly been fattening her up for the winter so she will be the perfect cuddle partner. The shelter environment has been stressful for her, and she deserves somebody who is ready to break her out! She's been on several field trips and had raving reviews. She absolutely loves playing with tennis balls, sniffing for treats in a snuffle mat, playing tug, and exploring the world out on walks. She is working on her confidence with other dogs and may enjoy having a friend who she can have play dates with, but we recommend that she be a single dog in the home at this time. She is working on her confidence and may be open to a dog roomie someday! We don't know how she does with cats or with small children, but we do know that she loves her human friends. Come bring your family down, or hey, even just yourself-- and meet her today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside – 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License # 1121
