My playful and goofy side will surely make you smile. I'm very loyal and just looking for someone to share all this love with. If you're looking for a friendly and mellow companion, I'm your girl! Let's make wonderful memories together. I'm ready to be part of your family! May was dumped on a busy Hwy in the dead heat of summer and very pregnant. She had a collar with a broken rope on her neck. Lucky for May a good samaritan stopped and asked May to get in the car and she did without hesitation. She was given a safe place to give birth and her pups were all adopted. Now May is looking for her forever home. If you are looking for a well mannered gentle and loving companion this is your girl. All of our adoptions will take place at the North Fayette PetSmart in Robinson Township, PA. A little bit about us: We are a Mississippi-based rescue dedicated to saving dogs and cats who might otherwise never have the opportunity. Every month, we transport animals to that store. We have an amazing partnership with them! Our cats and kittens stay at the adoption center there and are available for local adoption. Our dogs and puppies are typically pre-adopted before transport and go directly to their new families when they arrive. Venus’s story is heartbreaking, but her future can be beautiful. 🐾 When Venus first came into rescue, her first week was spent receiving 24/7 hospital care. She was on IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain medication after suffering several broken ribs. We strongly suspect her injuries were the result of being kicked by humans. We also have a strong suspicion that Venus somehow escaped a life as a bait dog in a dog-fighting situation, something that sadly remains a reality for some dogs. Despite everything she has endured, Venus has never lost her love for people. ❤️ Venus is a 2-year-old pocket Pit Bull with soft tan fur, the cutest short little legs, and a heart that is SO much bigger than her 35-pound body. She is the perfect size for snuggling and is fully grown, so she won't be getting any bigger! She has been treated for heartworms and is now ready to start the next chapter of her life. 🎉 Venus isn't a fan of cats or other dogs, so she would do best as the only pet in her home. But when it comes to her people, Venus makes up for it with loyalty, affection, and the sweetest personality. She has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. Meet Sawyer! At approximately months old, Sawyer has already had quite a journey. This handsome boy showed up as a stray, frightened and alone. He was found cowering under a house, clearly terrified and completely lost. Despite every effort to find his family, no owner ever came forward, so now Sawyer is looking for the forever home he truly deserves. Our veterinarian believes Sawyer may be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, and at about 55 pounds already, he's going to be a big, athletic boy! Sawyer has spent the last several months learning that people can be trusted. He has blossomed in foster care and is proving to be a wonderful companion. He is crate trained, knows the commands "sit," "down," and "stay," and has excellent house manners. He always takes care of his potty business when he goes outside. One thing that's become clear is that Sawyer was likely an indoor family dog before he was lost. He enjoys playing outside, tossing his toys into the air and chasing after them, but he doesn't like being left outside by himself. The moment he thinks his person is going inside without him, he'll race to the door, eager to be with his family. He loves toys and loves to take them outside to play with them. Sawyer is incredibly smart and observant. He quickly learns routines and pays close attention to everything happening around him. At bedtime, he settles quietly in his crate without a peep. In the morning, he patiently waits until he hears everyone else getting up before he's ready to start his day. This sweet, goofy boy has a playful side that will keep you smiling. Meet Wilma! ❤️ We just cannot believe that she hasn't been adopted yet. Wilma is a resilient, loving girl with an incredible story. She was found abandoned on the side of the road with her puppies after having been shot in the leg. (All of her puppies have found loving homes.) Unfortunately, the injury was too severe to save her leg, so she is now a happy and thriving tripod. Don't let her three legs fool you—Wilma doesn't let anything slow her down! At around 5 years old and 73 pounds, Wilma is a sweet, active girl who also knows how to relax and enjoy a good nap. She is a little overweight, so a family that enjoys walks and playtime will help her get back to her ideal weight. Wilma is heartworm negative and protected with ProHeart. She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely loves people. Because she gets excited and likes to jump up to say hello, she would do best in a home with older children. Since she hasn't been around cats in foster care, we aren't sure how she would do with feline friends. Wilma has already overcome so much in her life, and now all she needs is a family who will love her forever. She has proven that even after hardship, life can still be full of joy, love, and second chances.
