Story
This cutie is Blossom! Blossom is sadly on her fourth stay here at the shelter while we continue to find her the perfect forever home. We've known her since she was a puppy, and we are determined to make the next home stick! From her previous homes, we know that Blossom is an exuberant, playful girl that loves everyone, is always happy to greet strangers and does well with kids in the home, as young as 2 years old! We're pretty sure she's housetrained, too, which you all know is usually hard to guarantee in the shelter! On a field trip with volunteers, she enjoyed the car ride and sat nice and relaxed at a patio restaurant! She is excited on walks but does take time to stop and smell the flowers. Blossom enjoyed living with cats but would prefer to be the only canine in your home so she can keep all the attention for herself. She's a sneaky and clever girl, so she has a history of getting out of the house. Our behavior and adoption teams are more than happy to provide you with the resources and set you up for success with keeping this girl from adventuring outside on her own terms! If you are looking for an energetic life loving girl to add to your family, come meet our pick of the flower patch, Blossom! Story
Introducing Magesty! Yes, we know it's spelled majesty, but his owner spelled it with a G, so we're sticking to it! Magesty came to us when his owner was unable to house him, and already had several dogs at home. We're still getting to know Magesty, and he's still getting to know us and adjust to shelter life. At 3 years old he's still got a TON of energy. Like, serious puppy energy. He just wants to play, run around, and explore. Suffice to say Magesty is a very high energy dog who will need an equally high energy family! In his previous home, he lived with a cat, and while we can't guarantee that he will get along with other cats, he might be perfect for a feline-friendly household (just make sure introductions are done slowly and properly). When it comes to other dogs, Magesty is both nervous and very curious. He might do well with a respectful, confident dog, and we encourage you to bring your own pup down to see if they're a match! We don't know how Magesty feels about children, but given his high energy and overall happy-go-lucky demeanor, he might be a perfect fit for a family with equally high--energy kids. Magesty is a really good boy. Like, a really REALLY good boy. So swing down to our Northside shelter if you're ready to meet your new best friend! Story
Madame is a gentle soul who came to us as a stray. At around 1.5 years old, this medium-sized girl is a little nervous, but she finds comfort in the presence of kind, patient people and will often look to her handlers for reassurance. She leans in for pets, enjoys calm companionship, and melts into your side in a way that makes you feel chosen. So far, Madame has been shy around other pups as well, though she may still benefit from a calm and confident older dog companion. Come and get to know Madame, and it won't be long before those big eyes will look at you with love and trust. Story
Buddy is a busy bee, always searching for fun activities to share with his human family. Whether it is a walk, exploring and smelling everything, or playing a game of keep away with his favorite stuffie, Buddy is happy to participate. He previously lived with older children and might enjoy being in a family environment again! When it comes to other dogs, he isn't all that interested in them. If you have another dog in the home, he probably won't be playful, but should be able to coexist. He's a calm, easygoing guy ready to live the good life. If you are looking for a lifelong pal, come meet Buddy today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside – 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License # 1121

Story
Meet Blitzen! This 11-month-old came to us as a stray, and he is basically if an energy drink became a dog. Blitzen is super sweet and VERY high energy, and will need a home that is able to dedicate lots of time every day to his high physical and mental needs. He's still a puppy, so he's going to get a bit bigger as well, and will need a big, fenced-in yard to keep him entertained in-between walks and play. We don't know how he feels about dogs, cats, or kids, but he sure loves people and will happily stand up and give you kisses! If you're a high-energy person who loves to go on hikes, long walks, or sightseeing, then come down and meet Blitzen today! Story
This crawler might not be equipped with a metal basket, but he is ready to be your favorite thing on the construction site! Bulldozer came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about his past. In care he has been a goofy, medium energy guy who loves people. He has done wonderfully in playgroup with other dogs, so if you have a potential dog friend for him, feel free to bring them in for a meet and greet! He has also done well on a volunteer field trip. He was relaxed in the car, seemed housebroken in their home, and cuddled right up to his hosts. Bulldozer's excitement for life make him a little pully on walks but who could blame a cute face like that! Will you give a slightly older guy a chance?
