Story
Meet Moogley! This big-headed guy came in as a stray, and it was quick for us to all fall in love. Moogley is incredibly friendly with all people he meets, and even better, he loves dogs, too! Moogley is one of our "play pair candidates", which means he has had success while being out and playing with other dogs. Moogley is curious, energetic and again, incredibly friendly! We believe him to be around 5 or 6 years old, and he deserves a second chance with a home that will appreciate him for who he is and doesn't want to deal with the puppy stage or the terrible twos again. Come down and meet this one-of-a-kind guy today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside – 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License # 1121

Story
Meet Ed Bighead! His pictures won't even do him justice. You have to come see him in person. This guy is a ROCK and we LOVE him. He's a big boy with a giant head and a huge heart. He loves his people more than anything else in the world. Stuffies come in a a close second though. He loves to walk holding stuffies, occasionally perform dissections, but mostly just sit with his emotional support stuffies. He has been on several field trips with volunteers, where he loved meeting new people and showed off his good leash manners. After a walk, he's ready to cuddle up with humans and chillax the rest of the day. He prefers his dog friends to be as chill as he is and just hang out, and we think he would be happiest having his people to himself in the home. Come down and meet your future brick of a son today! Story
DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNN..... meet Gunner! This handsome fella is full of rottie love and snuggles and was so obviously well taken care of before he came into our care. Gunner is a bit of a quirky fella; most rotties sadly get their tail docked, but this guy has a full tail! It seems like in return, though, the universe took his eyes :( That's right! He is fully blind in both eyes. But that doesn't stop him from being curious and have so much passion for "seeing" what the world has to offer! Gunner is still learning how to navigate the world fully. He has some issues with walls, but we're working on it. He also hasn't quite figured out stairs yet, which to be fair, who can blame him? Gunner is incredibly social and friendly and absolutely adores every single person he meets. Seriously, this dog does not have a malicious bone in his entire body. He loves to snuggle and get scratches all over. He especially loves cheek scratches! He reacts very well to your voice and is pretty darn good at using that nose of his! If you are looking for a special needs dog with an even more special heart... come give this guy a second chance of life today! Story
Here comes the Sun(ny) doo doo doo doo! This gentleman came to us as a stray, so we don't know much about him, but we are sure his future is as bright as his name implies! Sunny loves to hear his own voice and regal you with his tales, so he likely wouldn't be a great fit for apartment living. We would also recommend his new home have experience with working breed dogs, so they know how to tucker out his body and brain. He is considered to be overweight, so he is looking for a buddy to help jazzercise his way to his beach body. We've noticed that he can be a bit picky with his doggie friends, so he will need to meet any potential doggie roommates before adoption. Little darling, it's been a long, cold, lonely winter, so come meet Sunny today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside – 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License # 1121

Story
Leena is a little girl of just 30 lbs who came to us as a stray. She's mature at 3 years old but still has a long life ahead of her and is looking for someone to spend it with. Leena is a little shy at first, but she does love butt scritches once she has a few minutes to warm up. Leena would do best in a quiet home without young children due to her sensitive nature. She is much more confident outside and walks nicely on a leash. She has met a few other pups in care and prefers her dog friends to be calm and polite rather than overly playful. Come meet this petite angel baby today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside – 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License # 1121

Story
🐾 Meet Frank — Philly’s Most Wanted Frank spent several months navigating the streets of Philadelphia, dodging traps, chasing trash trucks for his daily meals, and cooling off by hopping through kiddie pools during a summer heatwave. He became a neighborhood legend with a fan club watching Ring cameras, tracking his route, and working around the clock to get him to safety. At last, hunger (and a stroke of good luck) led Frank to step into a trap set by Goodboy Dog Recovery. He immediately went to the vets, and it was revealed he had a 5-week-old tibia fracture, explaining the slight limp he carried from life on the run. He quickly recovered and you would have never known he had a leg injury. Through it all, Frank never lost his happy spirit or his trust in people. 💙 Frank Today Frank is a true survivor and one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet. He follows his foster everywhere looking for love, does a joyful little dance when you walk through the door, and absolutely lives for cuddles. 🐶 Dog-Friendly & Playful Frank currently lives with several foster siblings, both male and female, and gets along wonderfully with all of them. He’s respectful, easygoing, and knows how to read the room. He never overwhelms other dogs, but once given the green light, he’ll happily play all day long. 🏡 Frank’s Ideal Home Frank thrives with canine companionship and would love a home with another friendly, playful dog who matches his energy and helps him feel secure. He’s looking for a family who appreciates a loving shadow, enjoys silly antics, and wants a dog who will be your best friend in everything you do.
