This gentle girl was found running around the Waterworks parking lot, and was brought in by a member of the public who saw her and was scared she could get hurt with so many cars around. She's a bit nervous at first and is still learning who to trust, but as she comes out of her shell, we've shown us just how wonderful and affectionate she is. Aphrodite has a playful side to her, and loves toys, so make sure you stock up before taking her home! Even though she can be nervous at first, she is ready for her forever home and is just waiting for one individual to give her a chance. She has so much love in her heart to give and is just waiting to pour it into the lucky person who takes her home! Meet Lua! This girl is bursting with energy, and is just shy of 2 years old, so if you are looking for an energetic gal without having to deal with the actual puppy phase... She's your gal! Lua has the sweetest face we've ever seen. She came in very skinny, and we have slowly been fattening her up for the winter so she will be the perfect cuddle partner. The shelter environment has been stressful for her, and she deserves somebody who is ready to break her out! She's been on several field trips and had raving reviews. She absolutely loves playing with tennis balls, sniffing for treats in a snuffle mat, playing tug, and exploring the world out on walks. She is working on her confidence with other dogs and may enjoy having a friend who she can have play dates with, but we recommend that she be a single dog in the home at this time. She is working on her confidence and may be open to a dog roomie someday! We don't know how she does with cats or with small children, but we do know that she loves her human friends. Introducing Murph! This ex-stray is on the lookout for a new forever home. We aren't sure what he's been through in the past, but we do know he has had past trauma to his right eye, and an old bone fracture in his hind legs. However, that hasn't slowed him down one bit! While he can only see out of his left eye, and sometimes has stiff joints, he's not in any pain, and is as happy and playful as any other dog. He loves people so much and makes friends with just about everyone he meets! He may just need some extra time to feel comfortable with strangers. He has done well meeting dogs in our care but can be reactive to them on leash. We believe this reactivity will lessen with more exposure but would still recommend bringing your dog in for a meet and greet.
