Story
Meet Ravioli! Looking for a big, friendly companion who’s stuffed full of love? Come meet Ravioli! This 2-year-old, 62lb pittie mix is as joyful and lovable as the come, a true meatball of happiness with a heart as big as his head. Ravioli is playful, personable, and always ready for fun. He LOVES squeaky toys, zooming around the play yard and, most of all… “talking” to you with the cutest little howls you’ve ever heard. (Seriously, you’ll fall in love the first time he answers you back!) This goofy guy does well with other dogs, and because of his big energy, he’d do best with older kids who don’t mind a little bit of rough-and-tumble love. We’re not sure about cats yet, but we can test him for serious adopters. Ravioli is working on his leash manners, but don’t worry! He’s super treat-motivated, has the most perfect “sit,” and is eager to learn. With a little guidance, he’ll be a pro in no time. If you’re ready to add a giant helping of love, laughter, and wiggles to your life, Ravioli is your guy. Give us a call at 412-672-8901 to come meet this big happy meatball!

Story
Meet Ray – A Brave Soul with a Heart Full of Love Ray is a 3-year-old Boxer with a gentle spirit and an unbreakable heart. Though he’s blind, Ray doesn’t let that stop him from living life with love and courage. His Story: Ray was found wandering the streets alone, starving and completely blind. We can only imagine how frightening it must have been for him to survive without being able to see. Despite being thin, anemic, and exhausted, Ray still greeted rescuers with kindness and trust — proof of his incredible spirit. Medical Notes: Thanks to many generous donors, Ray received a full eye evaluation and was diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). This condition means he has lost nearly all of his vision and can only detect faint shadows or changes in light. While there’s no treatment to restore his sight, daily supplements can help preserve what little vision he has left. Personality; Ray has shown amazing resilience. In just a few short weeks, he’s learned the layout of the shelter and continues to grow more confident every day. His playful, silly side shines through as he learns to trust and navigate his world. Ray enjoys gentle affection, soft voices, and his favorite toys. Once he bonds with you, he’ll reward your patience with unwavering loyalty and love. Home Needs: Ray may do well with calm, friendly dogs (meet and greets are always required). We’re not sure how he feels about cats, but with slow introductions, it may be possible. He would thrive in a quieter, adult-only home with a patient family willing to guide him and give him the safe, stable life he’s been waiting for. Could You Be His Match? Ray has been through so much, yet his heart remains open. He’s ready for a soft place to land and a family who will see him for the brave, gentle boy he truly is.

Oakley is a pretty calm adult dog who is just waiting patently for someone to come along and give her the chance to show how special she is. For some reason, she is always overlooked. She sits so nicely for treats and walks really well on her leash. She'd love a comfy couch to lay on during these upcoming cold months.
