Story
RUDY 2 years Attributes Dog friendly Housetrained Good on car rides Playful Snuggly High energy Meet Rudy! Rudy is an approximately two-year-old Beagle who has never met a stranger! After being found as a stray, he's now looking for a forever family that will give him the love, attention, and active lifestyle he deserves. With his happy personality, adorable Beagle charm, and endless affection, it's no surprise that everyone who meets him falls in love. Rudy is house-trained and has diligent manners inside the home. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, and off, and because he's highly food motivated (he is a Beagle, after all!), he's eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. Like any young dog, he occasionally gets curious about something he shouldn't have, but a little redirection to one of his toys is all it takes, and he's right back on track. He's full of puppy energy and loves to play! Rudy enjoys carrying his toys around, entertaining himself, and playing games with his people. He'll even play a game of fetch from time to time. He's generally a quiet dog, but when he's having fun with his toys, don't be surprised to hear a few adorable Beagle sounds as he talks to himself. Rudy loves other dogs and has a blast at doggy daycare. He enjoys playing with his canine friends and matches their energy well. While he can be a little dominant at times, he's never overly rough. His biggest challenge is that he loves people so much that if someone is giving another dog attention, Rudy is convinced it's his turn too! He'll happily squeeze in for pets and belly rubs, which happen to be his absolute favorite. Because of his age and energy level, Rudy would do best with a family that can provide plenty of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to burn off that youthful energy. Since Beagles are famous for their love of food, staying active will help him maintain a healthy weight. He'll also benefit from a family willing to continue reinforcing his manners, especially when it comes to patiently sharing attention. Rudy isn't a fan of the crate, but he does well left loose in the house for short periods. He rides wonderfully in the car and is usually asleep within minutes—especially if he can curl up on someone's lap while enjoying a few belly rubs. At bedtime, he's perfectly happy sleeping in his own dog bed or snuggled up with his humans. Rudy is simply a sweet, affectionate, fun-loving young Beagle with so much love to give. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will make you laugh, keep you active, and always be ready for a cuddle at the end of the day, Rudy may just be the perfect addition to your family. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

MOOSE 1 – 2 years GYPSY 1 – 2 years Attributes: Bonded pair Dog friendly Shy Medium energy Housetrained Snuggly Requires fence Playful Meet Gypsy & Moose, a sweet, inseparable duo who have grown up side-by-side and are ready to find a loving home together. At just 1.5 years old, Gypsy (19 lbs) and Moose (22 lbs) are young, playful, and full of heart. Their previous family adored them deeply, but due to hard times, they were lovingly surrendered to Midwest BREW so they could have the future they deserve. Gypsy is the more outgoing of the pair—curious, affectionate, and quick to offer trust once she feels safe. Moose is a gentle soul with longer hair and a beagle-plus-cocker look. He’s more reserved at first, but once he warms up, he becomes a devoted snuggler who melts into your lap. Both pups were not well socialized early in life, so they’re shy when meeting new people. They do get nervous in new situations. They’ll need a couple of weeks to settle in. Gypsy and Moose are fun, lively dogs who enjoy toys, chasing a ball, and wrestling with each other. Watching them play is guaranteed to bring joy and laughter to their home. They will need a secured fenced yard as they LOVE doing zoomies together 3–4 times a day. It’s their favorite shared ritual. They are fully house trained and know how to use a dog door. They enjoy daily walks and are improving on leash manners. They sleep in bed with their foster parents and adore bedtime snuggles. This pair will thrive with adopters who can offer patience, consistency, and a secure environment. Once they feel safe, Gypsy and Moose become affectionate, playful companions who bring double the love and double the fun. NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Say hello to Witch Hazel! She came to us as a stray and we have so far been loving her here! This girl is ATHLETIC. She loves to sprint, jump, roll around, catch, and I'm sure swim, too. She is goofy and has puppy energy and definitely would thrive in a home where she can get her energy out for as long as she needs to, daily! She would be an excellent adventure buddy if you are the type of person who goes hiking, camping, to the beach, on runs and everything in between! She's gotten raving reviews from field trippers, including that she's a "very good cuddler" and "an angel". Witch Hazel loves a good chew toy and any activity involving sniffing. She is still learning how to appropriately interact with other dogs, so she may do well with another dog who would be very tolerant of her shenanigans. We're not sure how she feels about cats and she may be too much energy for young children. Come and meet this exuberant girl today! Story
It's Pumpkin Surprise! What's the surprise? Well, he came in as a stray, so that's the surprise: we don't know! Pumpkin is full of beans and just a happy-go-lucky guy, a total ham. He likes to jump and gets the cutest zoomies you'll ever see, so if you've got a fenced-in yard, he'll be happy as a clam. He likes to pull towards rabbits and birds when he sees them outside, so if he goes to a home with small animals, we would recommend very slow and careful introductions. He's had a blast playing with other dogs (though does better with dogs that aren't super rough), and might enjoy having a canine companion at home! We aren't sure how he would feel about young children, but given his goofy and high energy personality, he might do well with some equally high energy kids (as along as they don't mind getting knocked over from time to time). So come meet Pumpkin Surprise today, and don't be surprised when he steals your heart! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh East End- 6926 Hamilton Ave Pittsburgh, Pa 15208 Kennel License #: 1043

Story
Meet Buttercup, our sweet, darling little lady who is ready for her forever home. Buttercup has nothing but love to give. She loves other dogs, she loves other people, and with slow and proper introductions, we could see her being okay with cats, too! Buttercup is perfectly healthy besides struggling with some skin issues, which just means she loves her pets and scratches extra deep (you'll just want to wash your hands after)! With some fish oil in her diet and a good conditioner, she will feel brand new. She is guaranteed to make you laugh; she is an absolute diva and superstar, who gets adorable zoomies and will take breaks only to give you kisses and show you how good she gives paw. She needs you (She needs you) more than anyone, darlin, you know that she has from the start... So, build us up (build us up) Buttercup, don't break her heart (by taking her home!) Story
Ygritte from Game of Thrones is a fair, red-haired lady, but this pup is a jet-black beauty! She is as smart as she is beautiful! Ygritte knows basic commands and walks wonderfully on the leash, especially for a larger dog. While Ygritte will always bear the physical scars of her past, she’s making tremendous progress recovering from her emotional scars while in foster care. She is slow to warm up, but once she does, you will be showered with kisses and full-body wags. Ygritte loves a good game of fetch (although she doesn’t always want to let go of her toy) or tug, and just being a playful girl. She’s calm when meeting other dogs and would love a confident dog in the home to have as a playmate. She can also match the energy of other dogs who aren’t as playful. The total package. No notes. Apply for her today! https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/PGH/8583-adopt-an-animal-in-foster
