Story
Paris is an 8 month old with a spunky attitude. Paris has been in a foster home with 4 other dogs, cats and kids. She loves to wrestle and play with other dogs. She doesn't bother the cats but would need continued positive reinforcement training as she grows older with cats in any home. Paris loves to swim in her baby pool. Paris is crate-trained, housebroken, walks amazingly on the leash. Paris has been all over Shadyside meeting all sorts of new people and just enjoying life. Her favorite hobby is to play soccer with her foster mom. Paris loves meeting new dogs on leash and making friends with all the people along the trail too! Paris does have Mircoopthalmia that she was born with. That means her eye did not fully develop in utero but she has been seen by the vet and cleared, it would just be something to monitor as she ages and she may need eye drops for dry eye on the third eyelid.Hi and thank you for your interest in adopting from The Foster Farm! Please note that all applicants MUST live within the state of Pennsylvania -- no exceptions will be made.In order to help us process your application, please include as much detail and information as possible. Our adoption process is not first come first serve – we work extremely hard to meet the needs of every pet individually, and we do not base our matches on appearances (color, coat length, etc.). If you’re inquiring about our adoption process, please visit thefosterfarm.org/adopt for information, policies, and procedures. If you have submitted an application at thefosterfarm.org/adopt and received the confirmation email from Cognito Forms (your receipt will appear as a copy of the application you submitted), we are reviewing your application. If you are approved to adopt, you will receive an email approval within one week! Because our organization is run entirely by four volunteers each with full-time jobs, families, personal pets, and foster animals, we are only able to reach out to approved applicants. Story
Hey all! This sweet noodly doodly is Astro. He is a wonderful dog, great with kids, cats, and dogs, but we are looking for a home with NO KIDS UNDER TEN as Astro has a tendency to eat smelly/food-stained fabric items when they’re left on the ground. Astro is 2.5 years old and about 45lbs. He is neutered, house trained to perfection, and an angel in his crate. He is a nervous dude, so an adopter with a confident young dog would be great! He is super sweet and loves to cuddle and lounge on the couch, but he also loves to walk/run. 🙂 We are working on basket muzzle training for his safety as well.Hi and thank you for your interest in adopting from The Foster Farm! Please note that all applicants MUST live within the state of Pennsylvania -- no exceptions will be made.In order to help us process your application, please include as much detail and information as possible. Story
Lucy is a beautiful, young red and black tri-color Beagle. I believe she had a very rough start to her young life and she had a challenging time during her first weeks of adjusting to life as a foster in our home. She was extremely fearful of us but seemed to gain her confidence by following our dogs around. But with time, patience, a thunder shirt, and a lot of love she learned to trust people again and started approaching us for attention. She has been around other dogs and people and did very well. She has had some children pet her and she was fine. She’s very curious about our cat but does not bother her. She looks forward to her meals now and eats without being fearful. She exhibited extreme anxiety in a closed crate so we let her choose where she sleeps. Sometimes she will sleep in a crate with the door open but she seems to prefer the dog bed at night and for naps. She caught on to the doggie door quickly and has had very few accidents. Her separation anxiety is much better and we usually leave each dog with a frozen Kong if we have to go away for a while. She is a quiet pup but likes to join in the welcome home chorus when we come home. She walks fairly well on a leash but her Beagle nose does dictate her navigation. She loves to run in an open field that is fenced with the other dogs. She LOVES toys and empties the toy basket faithfully every single day. She likes to do zoomies in our fenced yard and loves it when we play “chase” with her. She can handle short car rides but does get car sick on longer trips. She now has prescription meds for her motion sickness but we have not had the chance to try it yet. She is showing her playful, curious, and affectionate personality now. Lucy needs a rescue-experienced adopter who is familiar with anxiety and its signs and symptoms. She will do best in a home with a fenced yard where alone time is very minimal and another dog would be a big bonus since she loves to cuddle with our senior dog. She is a gentle soul who has just gotten the hang of “being a dog”. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Meet Cooper, he is a sweet boy about 5 years old.  He was found running loose and taken to a shelter in Ohio. He is a very friendly and lovable boy. He enjoys cuddling on the couch with his family and loves to be petted. Cooper weighs about 26 pounds. And...he has the cutest pink nose ! Cooper is housebroken with the use of a doggy door.  He gets along wonderfully with our 4 Beagles and likes children and anyone who will give him attention!  He enjoys car rides and playing with toys, running after balls, and Nyla bones. When Cooper came to the shelter, he tested positive for Lyme disease. He has completed 2 rounds of antibiotics and is doing well. Cooper sleeps in his crate at night next to our bed with no fuss. During the day he has freedom of the house. Cooper is a special needs dog due to round-the-clock medication for seizures and he needs a family that is home most of the time to give him his meds. He may have a mild seizure now and then but the medication has for the most part controlled them. If Cooper sounds like your boy, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
