Pete is currently 5 years old. And was originally rescued from Texas. He is a great dog, he has 2 dogs he plays with frequently. And grew up with a 4 year old child (now 9). He is good with people and other dogs especially once he gets to know them (he can be a little timid at first on occasion). He does bark as a typical dog would. The main reason for him needing to be rehomed is that we are moving and are expecting. He has occasionally growled and got defensive when other kids were over roughhousing with my daughter. Never bit anybody but did growl and acted defensive about it. with these instances there were a lot of people running around at once so it may have been overwhelming for him. He is awesome and comfortable with the people he knows, We would love to keep him but with a child on the way who he doesn’t know yet we do not want to risk it. And hope to find him a home. He is house and crate trained. He currently rings the bell at the back door when he needs out

Zuko is a kind and loving blue heeler. She will be 2 years old on January 11th of 2026. She's incredibly intelligent and loves to be active. However, Zuko does not take well to being in a cage while we're at work. She's potty trained but will have accidents in the house if she's upset with you. Highly anxious dog who needs someone who will have the time and energy to be with her and train her. She's okay with a child in the home, but not multiple. She's fine with other dogs if they're not aggressive or overly "rowdy."

Oakley is a pretty calm adult dog who is just waiting patently for someone to come along and give her the chance to show how special she is. For some reason, she is always overlooked. She sits so nicely for treats and walks really well on her leash. She'd love a comfy couch to lay on during these upcoming cold months. She’s met other dogs and does great! She’s playful and thinks she’s a big lap dog! She gets so excited when she gets special time with the staff! Please come by and meet this lovely girl. It will be worth it! Poor Lady is no stranger to the kennel. She’s been with us multiple times over the past year because her elderly owner was ill. Unfortunately for Lady, her owner did not make it out of the hospital this time. Lady is overweight from the sedentary life she’s led with her elderly owner. She could use a diet and some exercise to help her she’d done pounds. She also needs a good grooming. She’s a middle aged girl who’s happy to get attention and who will certainly miss her mom but will attach to anyone who’s willing to take care of her.
