Story
Hi, I'm Cyrus I'm a handsome, mellow, independent guy. The strong silent type (mostly). I like the simple things in life: A daily walk Snoozing in the sunshine Relaxing outside Chewing my blanket Evenings in front of the TV working on a treat filled Kong. I'm housebroken but not crate trained. I don't like to be confined to a small crate, but I am good and not destructive when I'm left alone in the house. I like car rides I walk well on a leash and enjoy exploring the neighborhood. I like most dogs, regardless of their size. I played well with lots of different dogs at the shelter, and now I have 3 dog friends in my foster home. I'm the best of both worlds, because I'm also able to be happy and content when I'm alone. I don't have much experience with cats, so the folks at the shelter are unsure how I would feel about them. I tend to be pretty laid back overall. My foster mom says there are a couple things I must have that would help me live my best life. I will need an adult only home with people who have experience with my breed. I'm a husky through and through, and my best life will be with people who understand me. I will need a home with a yard that has a 6 foot fence. I love spending time outside, so this is an absolute must. Apartment living would not allow me to be my happiest self. I need someone who is patient and understands that I may need a little extra time to adjust to my new people and surroundings. I would be happiest if I could hang out at home when my people are out doing social human things because busy places can be stressful for me. It takes me a little bit to trust new people in my life, so I would like someone willing to dedicate the time and effort to continue with my training. If I sound like a pup you'd like to meet, please contact Animal Friends Alliance and fill out an application.

Story
***Please see our Instagram page: @runningdogrescue and Heart highlight button for more pictures and videos of her*** Heart's road to recovery is going well! Her hair will take time to grow back, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't start the search for her forever family. This sweet girl is an absolute love bug. She loves to snuggle. Although she has the husky look to her, she DOES NOT have the husky energy. She is a very low key girl that is perfectly happy to sit and watch a movie with her person. If you are looking for a mini husky mix without all the crazy, you have found your dog! She has met several dogs, and she has excelled with meeting every single one. She did not care about our cats in the least so would do well living with them as well.
