Story
Meet Patience! She lives up to her name she’s a gentle, sweet soul who just needs a little time to feel safe. She can be nervous in new situations, but once she trusts you, her loving and loyal personality really shines and she would love nothing more than to give you all the love in the world. Patience enjoys calm companionship and does best with predictable routines. Patience prefers her meals to be a solo affair and does best in a home where food can be managed separately or where she’s the only dog. She would shine in a household with older children who understand her cues and can give her the space she needs while she continues to grow her confidence. Patience has lived with cats before, though her enthusiasm was a bit overwhelming for them. She’s also quite the athlete and will need a secure setup to keep her safely where she belongs. With patience (just like her name!), kindness, and understanding, this lovely girl will make a deeply devoted companion.

Story
Meet Vicky! This sweet, quirky girl is full of charm. She loves playtime, enjoys yummy snacks, and is happily learning her good manners. Vicky can be a little nervous when meeting new people or exploring new places, so she does best with patience and gentle encouragement. She has lived with other dogs before and could do well with furry siblings, but slow, thoughtful introductions are recommended. With time, treats, and love, Vicky’s playful personality really shines!

Story
Meet Queen of Hearts Queen is a gentle, sensitive girl who came to us very shy after living her whole life outdoors. She has made huge progress in foster care and feels safest with another friendly dog by her side. With dogs, she’s playful, sweet, and gains a lot of confidence from their presence. What She’s Like Queen is calm, polite in the house, and enjoys soft beds, quiet routines, and following her dog friends around. She’s mostly house-trained, walks on a leash, and knows cues like “come” and “kennel up.” She’s also a slow, dainty eater who enjoys sharing mealtimes with the other dogs. What She Needs A confident companion dog A quiet, predictable home Someone patient who understands shy or fearful dogs A secure setup while she adjusts to new surroundings The Queen has also been diagnosed with chronic idiopathic hepatitis, which means she has ongoing inflammation of her liver with no clearly identifiable cause. Many dogs with this condition can live happy, comfortable lives with appropriate monitoring and supportive care, but it is considered a long-term medical condition that requires regular follow-up with your veterinarian. She is currently being managed with daily supplements. Once she trusts you, Queen is incredibly sweet, loyal, and easygoing. If you have a calm home and a friendly dog who can help show Queen the world isn’t so scary, she may be the perfect match.

Story
My mother has been diagnosed with early onset dementia with Alzheimers and cannot care for the dog anymore. This dog was left with her by her grandson whom passed away 4 years ago, so the dog hasn't gotten all the active care he needs like socializing with other dogs, walks, and other active care needed for a dog of this breed and size. Although well loved, it is just not practical to keep him through the illness and medical staffing that will be dealing with us within the household. He needs re-training for manners and socializing with other dogs and new people. Great demeanor, just too strong for the surrounding females in the household.

Story
We adopted Tucker in June he is an awesome dog!! Pros: He loves kids and retrieving the ball and hiking. He's sweet not a mean bone in his body. He hangs out in the back yard with kids all day and loves the attention. They dress him up and take him on walks. He doesnt wander off our 6 acres and doesn't seem to really demand a lot of excerize He is the perfect dog! Cons: He is attacking my my live stock and our little dogs. I've tried everything. He is super territorial and when I arrive home he wants to be the first one to say hi and if my cow or the little dogs are in his eye shot he will attack them. Its like a jealousy thing is all I can think and it seems to only be around moving vehicles!?!? We are really afraid he is going to accidentally going to hurt one of them. This breaks our hearts but he needs a only dog home where he is the star of the show.
