Story
We got Charlie from a rescue literally weeks before the world shutdown for Covid. Which I believe to be part of the issue. He was about 6 months old at the time. About a week or so after having gotten him, he was hiding under a desk, my husband needed him to come out and grabbed him (dumb, I know) to pull him out. He bit my husband, enough to break the skin. He and my husband have had a very distrustful relationship since that day. My husband has distantly tried to repair it, but we have 4 kids and he does not have the time or energy required to do so. Charlie has also drawn a very reluctant attitude towards new people (oddly he's fine with people he interacted with for about the first six months since we brought him home, even those he doesn't see regularly.) But he is wary of new people and has been known to nip at them (doesn't break skin.) Even when we try to work with him to get him acclimated to them, he cannot be trusted to be left alone with them.

Story
Rosie, Rosie, Roooo!! Meet Rosemary, an adventure seeker with a heart of gold. This loyal girl is looking for a new best friend to call her very own! Rosemary is looking for a home that will provide her with the love and patience that she is so deserving of. Living in her foster home, Rosie has lived with 2 other large dogs and she has proven to only love and respect the other canines in the home! She loves chewing on her bones, a peanut butter kong is always the best, and playing fetch! A long walk to start her day is sure to be enjoyed, but she's not too picky. However... a couch curl up with her human after all the fun is over is a must! If this girl sounds like a good new addition to your home, please email charlotte.nolan@savinganimalstoday.org! She is in foster care with a staff member of ours.

Story
Meet Sylvester!     Sylvester is an extremely lovable boy, he’s very loyal and intelligent. He’s a big baby who doesn’t realize his size and would gladly snuggle you to death or go run around the mountains for hours/days.   He does amazing with humans but is more choosy with his animal friends. He does have a dog sister who he loves and has been able to make friends with some other dogs, but gradually and controlled.    Sylvester just wants to be a good boy and needs a new home that can continue to guide him in the right direction with love and patience.    Some of his tricks: sit, come, heel, sit between the legs, bang (play dead), roll over, spin, army crawl, beep beep (backing up noise), spot/place (any elevated surface that you establish), he constantly likes the challenge of learning new ones. April 26, 2024, 4:46 pm

Story
Meet Mae!   This big girl is looking for a new home. She is a 3 year old great pyrenees mix. She is in need of a family who can continue her training. She does well with kids, but can be reactive meeting people for the first time and also on leash.  She gets along with some dogs, but would probably do best in a single dog home as she can be a bit of a resource guarder.  She is working on these behaviors and will need continued support. April 26, 2024, 4:46 pm
