Story

Korra is an extremely affectionate cat and purrs very loudly when she is being pet! She loves to explore and has the nickname Korra the explorer. She is a terrible hunter, but it is rewarding to watch her try! She is 3 years old. Why we want to re-home her: she does not get along with our other cat. He likes to play and she does not like roughhousing. I'm confident this stresses her out a ton. We try to play with both of them as much as we can to tucker our other cat out, but we can't always do so. I used to be home more often, but now that I'm not, she is starting to act out and will pee out of her litterbox. She doesn't always do it, but we strongly believe it's her way of telling us she's stressed out. She's not mean at dogs or kids (hisses, does not bite) , but they do stress her out and she will hide until they are gone. With being young adults with a family in our future, we don't think we are the right fit for her. She is a loveable cat that just needs a chill home!

Story

Casper, aka Gordo, is a sweet old man. We got him when he was 2 years old and he is now 16. He has no real signs of slowing down. He loves to cuddle and play with string. He loves to be groomed and to have a lions cut, but he will hate the car ride. Gordo was diagnosed with diabetes 3 years ago and takes his medicine like a champ. During that time he has also found the love of going outside. He is a bit on the heavy side, 18ish pounds, but it seems to be his comfortable weight. We believe he would be best in a more chill home. He seems to be ok with other animals as long as they are as chill as him. As a family we chose to try and find him a new home because our life has been more hectic and non consistant. Gordo has shown us that he is not a fan of how chaotic our lives have become. Again, he has no other health issues to show he is slowing down anytime soon.

We are heartbroken to be making this decision, but we are looking to find a loving new home for our sweet girl cat. We adopted her hoping she would fit well into our home, but unfortunately our older male cat has been aggressive and unwelcoming toward her despite several months of trying introductions, calming plug-ins, and other recommended methods to reduce aggression. She was not the cause of the aggression — we simply did not realize beforehand that our older cat would not do well with another cat in the home. We have come to the difficult realization that she would likely do much better in a different environment where she can feel fully comfortable and safe. She is an incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate cat. She absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle and is happiest when she can relax near her people.
