Story
GEORGE is a cute black and white boy with beautiful green eyes who is approx. 4 years old. He had an uncertain life after he was left outside to fend for himself. His fosters live trapped him and brought him inside to give him a new, secure life with plenty of food, toys, love and other cat friends. It took George awhile to adjust and come out of hiding but then, one day, he decided it was time to meet one of the foster’s own cats and that was the magic moment that George started his transition to trusting his fosters and new foster home. George is a sweet and playful cat who thrives in the company of other cats. He forms strong attachments and loves to cuddle with his feline friends, often curling up in bed alongside them. When he is not snuggling, George enjoys zooming around the house, either chasing toy mice or playfully interacting with another cat. When it’s time to relax, George can usually be found napping on the couch or in a cozy dining room chair. His journey began with a lot of fear - he was very scared of people and would hide and hiss whenever approached. Thanks to the patience and care of his fosters, he has made remarkable progress. George now feels comfortable enough to accept his favorite treat when hand-fed. Although, he is still wary of being petted or approached suddenly and may hiss or run away. With time and patience, he should continue to grow more confident. George has shown incredible resilience and has truly blossomed in a safe and loving home environment. To continue thriving, George would do best in a home with another friendly cat or two. He would be a perfect match to be adopted with Riley, another Second Chance cat currently living in his foster home. A home without children or dogs is required, and a home rather than apartment would be best so he doesn't have to transition again. George is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $175. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about the sweet boy.

Story
RILEY is a stunning girl who is approx. 3 years old. She is a beautiful brown and black tiger with emerald green eyes and is very sweet and gentle. Riley is happy to be safely indoors; it took her some time to feel brave and trust her fosters but she has blossomed into a wonderful cat. She loves to play with her toys – the ball in the ring that goes around, mice, balls, anything! She will happily come to you if you have a treat for her. When she hears the treat bag, she immediately stretches, then rubs against you or comes to you to get her treats. She sleeps on the bed at night but isn’t a big cuddler yet (that may come with time). Riley loves the other cats in the foster home and will take naps with one of them and hang out in the sunshine with them. She likes to be petted and purrs happily, and she loves to be brushed; although she gets scared if a hand surprises her in her face – she likes slow movements and gentle voices (she hasn't been around men). Riley is a sweet and beautiful cat who wants to be loved. She needs a quiet home without dogs or children and a patient, kind adopter who will help her slowly adjust to her new home - just as she has nicely adjusted to her foster home. She would also like a friendly cat or two in her forever home (she is in the same foster home as George so they could be adopted together). A home rather than an apartment is preferred so she doesn't have to move and move. Riley is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $175. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about sweet, gentle Riley.

Story
Zen and Benny are very cute 10 month old brothers. They are very sweet and friendly boys and purr happily when you pet them. Zen – He is mostly buff with white markings and gold eyes. Zen can be a bit reserved at first but once he feels brave, he plays with enthusiasm. He loves catnip toys. Benny – He is buff and white (more white than Zen) and also has lovely gold eyes. He is very curious and always has to check out what you are doing and be part of it. These two are a dynamic duo of fun and will make you laugh every day. Whether they are chasing toy mice, leaping off furniture, or playing with one another, Zen and Benny are always on the move. They are playful, adventurous, and full of curiosity - in the best possible way! If you are looking for double the entertainment and love, these boys are your guys. They both use the cardboard floor scratcher and also the carpeted scratching post. Watching the activity out the windows is very entertaining for these two. They have not been around dogs in our program and would probably prefer a home without dogs. They are fine with the foster’s older grandchild who is cat-respectful. They are too active to be adopted into a home with adult cats. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can provide them with a forever home. Zen and Benny are neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. The adoption fee is $350 for the pair (or $200 each). Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about these adorable boys.

Story
JACK is a 9 month old, beautiful boy with a rich jet-black coat (he looks like a mini panther), and eyes that shift between gold and green (depending on the light). He is ultra-affectionate, playful, curious and brave. His favorite pastimes are snuggling, giving hugs, being held like a baby, crinkly balls, being petted, and all interactive toys. My name is Jack. Do you seek affection? I do! The moment you walk into a room, I have one mission: to flop down in your arms like a baby and purr while gazing into your eyes. My brother (Jesse) is also very affectionate, so we will soon become a puddle of kitten cuddles on your lap. After snuggles, comes play. I am a very busy boy during playtime and love being in the middle of the action. Toss a crinkly ball and I will sprint, pounce, and bat at it - and then bring it right back so we can do it again. But wait! There’s more! You'll also find I'm an excellent assistant and will supervise you while you work. I am looking for someone who is ready to be completely adored by a devoted shadow who believes the best spot in any house is wherever you are. It does take me a little while to think that new people are okay. Jack is in the same foster home as his brother, Jesse, and they love playing and cuddling together. Jack uses the carpeted scratching tree and enjoys hanging out on top. He has not been around other cats or children in the program and he would prefer to young kids. Jack also gets along with the foster’s cat-respectful small dog. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give them their forever homes. Jack is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200 (or $350 for a pair). Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about this very affectionate handsome boy.

Story
JESSE is a 9 month old stunning brown and white tabby with silky soft fur and lovely eyeliner markings. He is laid back, affectionate and playful. His favorite things are chasing red dots, wrestling, ambushing his brother (Jack), snuggles, and interactive toys. Hey there, I’m Jesse. If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts lounge cat and laser chaser, I am your guy. I like to sit up in the cat tree either napping or watching what is going on around me. But once the red dot appears I transform into a playful tornado of fun. Then, after all that activity, I love to lie on you and luxuriate in being gently brushed, getting neck scratches and cheek rubs. And to let you know that I like you, I’ll bump my nose against your face. If you’re ready for a cool cat who knows when it's time to play and when it’s time to boop noses while snuggling, I’m the one for you. Jesse is in the same foster home as his brother, Jack, and they love playing and cuddling together if you are wanting two kittens. A home without dogs would be his preference, but, as you can see, if it’s a small dog who likes and respects cats, he would be fine. Jesse uses the carpeted scratching tree like a good boy. He has not been around other cats or children in the program. If he goes to a home with children, the child should be 12+ years old. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give them their forever homes. Jesse is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200 (or $350 for a pair). Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about this sweet, adorable boy.

Story
MALCOLM and MARNIE are approx. 4.5 years old. They are both cute brown and white tabbies who came into our program as strays and were very, very scared, but they have enjoyed the routine in their foster home and their individual personalities have blossomed. They love being together and Marnie feels braver with Malcolm nearby. Malcolm has short hair and loves playing with his two rope toys in particular, pushing them under a door and then trying to scoop them back inside. When called, he stops whatever he’s doing to enthusiastically run over for affection. Malcolm is so excited to get neck rubs and back scratches that he happily purrs and bonks his head into anything and everything nearby - furniture, his foster’s legs, his food dish, or whatever else happens to be close! He will sit on his foster's lap when she is relaxing and has become so much more trusting in his foster home. Marnie has lovely thick, medium hair and had become more at ease. She is very curious and likes to check out what her people are doing and wants to be in the same room as they are. She loves treats and eats out of her foster’s hand and has learned that being petting is great while she purrs happily. Marnie enjoys playing with any kind of interactive feather toy. She loves sitting on the top of her cat tree by the window and watching the activity in the yard. If you are the special person who has a lot of patience, a calm presence, and can give Malcolm and Marnie a quiet home and consistent routine, they will give you so much in return (they do well when they know what to expect). They would do best in a home without other animals or children and in a home where their people don't plan on moving. Malcolm and Marnie are neutered/spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Their adoption fee is $320 for the adorable pair. Call 651-771-5662 if you are the special person for these two sweet cats.
