Are you looking for a darling little lovebug who will be a great cuddler?! Arya is a very sweet and loveable 8 year old female domestic shorthair. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. We have all her vet records. She is beautiful and such a lover, however she does not do great with young kids or other young/active cats and dogs. Their play and chasing scares her! Arya may get along with other cats with very slow introductions, if they give her space and don’t try to play. We had another cat that she got along with just fine. Sadly, he died in 2023 and she does not get along with our more playful cat. She does get along great with our dog, but he is very mellow, totally uninterested in cats and never bothers her. We’ve tried a lot of things-medication, gradual introduction, diffusers, etc. Arya would do best in a house without kids or young, playful pets. She needs a quieter home and adopters who are willing to be patient until she settles in.

Maxwell was born into our home from an adopted pregnant stray. We love her very much and she is friendly with people. She is an anxious cat. She has been having many accidents, urine specifically, we think due to the stress of other cats in the home. She has been to the vet and cleared of health issues, and we have tried many remedies, but we think she needs a home without cat siblings. Please contact us with any questions.

God's Dogs Rescue plus Kitties does NOT transport any cats or kittens in or out of the state of Texas. It is too stressful for the cats or kittens to be transported long distances, especially when enclosed in a vehicle containing dogs and puppies. Thank you for your understanding. Good with cats/dogs? Unknown. Good with kids? Unknown, but I think she'd be better in a home with no kids. She is pretty chill most of the time. She took to being inside like she belonged there. She is litterbox trained. She's not very playful yet, but lately she's started playing with some toys on her own or playing with the kittens, though she tends to stop if she sees me watching. She's loves to be petted but is also just as happy to sleep somewhere nearby or lay where she can look out the window. She loves to be petted. However, sometimes she'll get irritated by a hand in her face or if you reach over her and she does not like being bent over or having your face near her. Most of the time she'll leave when she gets irritated, but sometimes she bats or snaps(she has only ever done this to my hands), however she is extremely gentle when she does. She doesn't want to hurt you, she just wants you to stop whatever it is she doesn't like. She loves food. When I first saw her she wouldn't come near me, but she became instantly friendly when I started feeding her. Feeding her anything is probably the best way to earn her approval, but she really likes any kind of meaty snacks. We usually use chicken which is good enough, but her absolute favorite thing is brisket. I honestly think her ideal home is with someone with no kids or other pets and who will be happy with a cat that will just hang out nearby and want to be petted sometimes. I'm pretty sure she had the kittens in a bush on the side of the house and then later moved them to the porch, which is when I discovered them.
