Story
This is Missy. She is roughly 8years old. Missy is a very sweet cat, she loves to be pet and is kind to everyone. She is almost always purring. She has been with us since she was young, roughly 6 months old. Missy is a flame point Siamese. She is mainly white with some orangish markings. She also has the most beautiful light blue eyes. She lays on our bed almost every night. When company is over she usually hides as a lot of commotion scares her. She is an indoor cat with the occasion of stepping out onto our outdoor landing. Missy is territorial and will pee on rugs because of this issue. We have another cat and dog who has been with Missy for many years. She gets along with both of them but is territorial, we believe she will do best in a home with no animals. We have two young children who have been around her and she does great with them. We have brought her into the vet and have ruled out medical issues. Thank you for considering our sweet girl.

Story
Max is a 12 year old orange tabby with a heart of gold, seeking a new loving home. Max is very friendly and loves to cuddle. He does well with kids and other cats but feels a little anxious around dogs. This is ultimately why max needs to be rehomed. He is very patient with children and never bites or scratches. He would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a low maintenance, affectionate and cuddly cat. Max has some really unique qualities, he will come happily when you call him and kneads his paws like a kitten when happy and cuddling. Max likes his litter box kept very clean, he enjoys going outside and is highly motivated by food and treats. Max has had urinary tract issues in the past (swelling of the urethra) and so he is on a prescription cat food to manage this. He hasn’t had an issue since he was a kitten. Our family is so so to make this decision for our boy but we are hoping he can find a less stressful environment to spend his last years.

Story
I adopted Mihi from the Humane Society in October 2023. Soon after, I started a new job that requires time and attention to the extent that I am no longer able to give Mihi the time and attention he needs. I'm hoping to find a good home for him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $150 Lydia is a beautiful, petite, long hair brunette.  Like her namesake she is, herself, strange and usual.  She enjoys her indoor life, she is good with other cats, and she wants nothing to do with her human guardians.  If you can catch her you can pet her, and she will purr and enjoy the affection- but she will avoid you if at all possible.  Like we said- weirdo.  Her favorite thing in the world is to sit in a box and watch the world.  Her second favorite thing is being brushed and get treats.  But because she is Lydia Deetz, she will not seek out her second favorite thing--- her human has dig her out of a box to go give it to her.   She shows her appreciation for the food and shelter by not bothering you and being very pretty. Does your kitty need a friend?  Do you need a mouser? Would you like to decorate your home with a cat cave in every room? Lydia’s best life is a quiet indoor home with regular meals and low expectations. My adoption fee covers distemper, rabies, FIV/ Feluek test, microchip and spay. Do you have room in you home and heart for me? Please fill out an application as I am waiting to meet you!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
