Story
Yvette is a sweet little girl looking for a home of her own. She has come from not wanting to be touched to wanting to sit in my lap a lot. She will need some time to gain the trust of her new family. She probably would not do well with young children. She does well with 2 of the resident cats. She and the third one simply have a dislike of each other. She also is okay with the household dogs who are pretty easy going. It has been a long journey with her but she is finally ready for a family of her own.    Yvette enjoys the breeze through her fur as she chases a catnip toy down the hallway and zooms from room to room. After a good play session, she curls up for a nap under a warm sunbeam, slowly stretching as she sunbathes in her slumber. Yvette regularly perches next to her human, whether on the edge of the couch, atop the bookshelf or tucked into a corner preferring to survey the scene before engaging.    She should only go to a home with kids of high school age or above as higher energy younger kids cause her to wilt. Yvette does nip in unfamiliar situations, so she will need a patient and understanding human to give her time to gain confidence and trust.    ##1749241##

Story
Reintroducing SIMBA! This stunning nine year old boy is 99% lover and 1% cranky neighbor who doesn’t want any fellow cats playing in his “yard.” Simba came to us over a year ago after being rescued from euthanasia. He was overweight, diabetic, matted, had skin and nail infections, diabetic neuropathy, and was in desperate need of a dental. After shaving off some pounds, treating his infections, a dental visit, and some loving attention, Simba has been restored to his former glorious self and is now ready for a long-term foster home as his current foster is relocating to another state.   Simba loves being brushed head to toe, chin rubs, and attention of any kind. He responds by drooling in joy and with a roaring purr. Belly rubs? No problem here – he’ll happily present his belly (and everything else) for an extended tummy tickle or a four paw nail trim. Talk about easy – if we didn’t know any better…we’d think he had professional groomer experience. He is adorably wobbly (uncertain of cause but could be residual diabetic neuropathy) so we have added a supplement to his food to try and boost his strength. To date, his weakened back end has gotten no better or worse and does not impede his “zoomies” after a good litter box visit! Another fun fact about wobbly cats? It means Simba is the polar opposite of a counter jumper! As a matter of fact, if he needs to get on anything higher than a couch...pet stairs do the trick. He will want a set by your bed as his favorite place to sleep is with you. Simba has been in diabetic remission for over a year and has not been on any insulin. We hope to keep him that way by controlling his diet and occasional glucose monitoring.   He comes with a lifetime commitment of litter, food, meds, and all the vet care needed for the rest of life. What he needs is a soft, loving place to fall, and a pet parent who will be patient getting him settled into new surroundings. His ideal home would be a quieter one. Maybe with someone who works from home (or no longer works) who has no other pets. He’s been waiting a long time for the right home and we are committed to providing everything a new foster needs. All you need to add is love (and twice a day feedings).   Who wants to meet this boy and discuss adding him to your family? LET'S MEET! Please email s.o.s.representative@gmail.com for an application to be Simba's long-term foster. Simba is available for meet and greets with pre-approved applicants!   ADOPTION INFORMATION: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriate), Feline Leukemia/FIV tested, de-parasited & micro-chipped before being adopted out. All applicants must meet our adoptable cats in person. We do not ship any of our animals to adopters. Thank you and please contact us with any questions. April 15, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Austina is a sweet girl who is great with other cats. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but will come around quickly!  She is ok with small dogs but is afraid of large dogs. She does love toys, as well as her cat tree and hammock. Another cat that will interact with her in the home would be ideal. She has not been around children and the energy of young human kiddos might be a bit much for her, older, respectul, kiddos would be fine.         ##1749201##

Story
Beckett, AKA Beans, is a handsome little hooligan! He's still very much a kitten at heart and loves to hunt for bugs, bat around and chew on strings and toys, chase his tail, sit in windows and do kitty zoomies! He gets along well with the cats, dogs and kids in the home and doesn't mind when visitors come. He has a somewhat intense desire for human food. During meal prep, cooking and eating, we often put him in his own space so that we can eat in peace. He tends to gravitate more towards self play, play with other cats or play with humans using wands/feathers/etc. and isn't much of a snuggler. He does like a lot of attention, but only on his terms. He tends to dislike being picked up/held and will usually jump on my lap when he decides he wants pets. He's somewhat "chatty" too!   Would likely do best in an active home with other pets, especially another cat friend to play with. Fully litter box trained and an overall sweet and goofy guy!       ##1810785##

Story
Timmy is currently hanging out at our partner Chuck & Don's location in Eden Prairie (8022 Den Road). He's acting as both their in-store foster cat and official customer greeter.  Please stop in anytime during normal business hours to meet Timmy. Hey there, I'm Timmy, the charming feline with a heart of gold! Life wasn't always easy for me and my gal pal Tootsie. We wandered into the shelter as strays, skinny as twigs and longing for some TLC. Those were tough times, let me tell you. But thanks to the kind souls here, we embarked on a re-feeding plan that turned our lives around. Sure, I might've seemed a bit shy at first, but don't be fooled – that was just my way of playing hard to get. Deep down, I'm a social butterfly, always ready to make new friends and spread some feline love. These days, you'll find me strutting around the shelter, tail held high and a purr ready to charm anyone who crosses my path. Oh, and about my friend Tootsie? She's my partner in crime, my confidante in this big, wide world. We're like two peas in a pod, inseparable and full of mischief. While we're not bonded - just good friends - adopting us together? Well, that's just doubling the love and joy in your life! And hey, if you do decide to take us both home, there's a sweet deal waiting for you – a 20% discount on our adoption fees. Trust me, you won't regret it. So what do you say? Ready to welcome a dynamic duo into your heart and home? ##1969096##

Story
Hello there, I'm Tootsie, and I have a story to tell you! My journey began alongside my best buddy Timmy when we found ourselves in a local shelter as strays. It wasn't easy at first – we were both so skinny and frail that we needed a special re-feeding plan to get back on our paws. But with lots of care and nourishment, we're now healthy and full of life! I may be a bit on the shy side, but underneath that, there's a hint of sassiness that adds a little sparkle to my personality. Once I feel safe and loved, I'm all about cuddles and playtime! I've also got a knack for getting along with other feline friends, so you can count on me to be a great companion to your existing fur babies. It's important that you know Timmy and I are not a bonded pair. While I'm more than happy to find my forever home solo, there's something special about me and Timmy together. We're like two peas in a pod, and we're offering a sweet deal – a 20% discount on our combined adoption fees if you take us both home. Double the love, double the purrs! So, what do you say? Are you ready to open your heart and home to a duo of charming cats like us? We promise to fill your days with joy, laughter, and endless affection. Let's make some memories together – adopt us today! ##1969089##
