Meet Sooty!
Are you looking for a friendly, affectionate, and out-going beauty? That is me, a tri-colored tortoiseshell, born July 2025. I was found as a stray and no one claimed me, so I’m all yours. When you come home you’ll find me watching for you at the window. I meet you at the door, rub against your ankles, follow you around the house, and sometimes reach up requesting to be picked up and held upright. If you are trusted, I’ll give you kitty kisses and rub against your face. When you are sitting, I usually hop into your lap and will stay as long as you pet or brush me. Sometimes I just like to sit next to you.
My quiet purr starts up quickly when I’m near you. Oh, did I tell you I’m quiet until meal times and I like to sleep with you when you nap. I haven’t met dogs, am passive with most cats, and if kids are respectful and gentle, I should do fine. I hope you have something high enough so I can watch wildlife out the window. I play by myself with cat toys and interactively with wand toys. I use a scratching post and have fine litterbox habits.
This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Calicos and Siamese are $250+tx. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored).
