Story
About Me Meet Sara, a sweet senior kitty who’s happiest when she’s curled up for a nap or enjoying a tasty meal. She’s a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’ll show you just how sweet and cuddly she can be. Sara gets along well with children and dogs and is fully litter box trained, making her a wonderful fit for many families. She would prefer a quiet home, although would probably adapt to any environment. Her favorite daily activities? Sleeping, eating, and cuddling. Sara has diabetes that’s currently in remission—she’s been thriving on her favorite patè meals, but she may need insulin again in the future. She’s also front declawed, so she’ll need to stay indoors for her safety. If you’re looking for an affectionate, low energy cat to share your home and heart, Sara is ready to meet you. Apply today to give this sweet girl the cozy, loving retirement she deserves!    WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means all of our pets are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.  Foster Home Pets: Meet & greets are scheduled after an approved adoption application Cats at The PURRfect Match Adoption Center (Andover, MN): Some cats may be available to meet during open hours Please visit our website for the most accurate information on this pet and next steps. Story
About Me Hi, I’m Lima! I’m a beautiful brown tabby with a gentle soul and a quiet personality. When I first arrived, the world felt a little overwhelming, so I preferred to watch from the safety of a cozy hiding spot. But every day, I grow a little braver. Now you’ll often find me stretched out in a sunny window, lounging on a cat tower, or making a beeline for dinner when the wet food comes out—it's definitely one of my favorite times of day! I’m an easygoing girl who gets along well with both people and other cats. I’m never one to stir up trouble, and because I’m not the type to demand attention, I sometimes get overlooked by visitors. But I hope someone sees what the volunteers do—a sweet, loving cat who simply needs a little time to shine. If you're looking for a calm companion who will quietly become a cherished part of your family, I think we'd make a wonderful match. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
Pea | 8-year-old torbie | she/her | reformed grouch My foster mom was trying to work on my bio, but she was struggling to find just the right words to describe me. I told her to step aside — who better to tell you about me than yours truly. My name is Pea. My foster mom calls me Miss Pea, and I like it — I'll thank you to use it. I am an eight-year-old torbie, a lady of distinct taste, and until recently, as dramatic as a Bravo TV housewife. Here are the facts: I was surrendered to a shelter because I despised other cats. I'm not hiding it — it was a known fact about me. I sat in the shelter, miserable; my time was running out. I was exactly twenty-four hours from meeting my maker when (cue music) The Rescue Crew sprang me from the clutches of Hades. You might call it good timing. I call it my second act. Turns out, my legendary attitude had a perfectly good explanation. I was carrying some luxury weight, which put a strain on my bad knees and sore back. When every step hurts, you don't purr. You swat. I'm not making excuses. I'm providing context. There's a difference. Two months ago, I landed with a foster lady, and somewhere between the vet visit and the new food, I am getting back on track. I'm on a prescription diet that's actually working — I haven't been on the scale lately (a lady doesn't discuss numbers), but I feel lighter - and happier. I take a medication called Gabapentin to manage my knee pain until I drop 3–4 lbs. And I exercise — feather cardio (I swat a feather at the end of a plastic stick) and slow, deliberate laps from room to room. Yes, it counts. Do not minimize my effort. I feel better than I have in years. I'm still opinionated, mind you. But I'm a gentler kind of opinionated — a work in progress, if you will. My days now look like this: I have a safe room all to myself, I get to roam the house when my foster mom's cats are "spending the day" in the basement, I do my cardio, I nap, and I accept affection entirely on my own terms. I have actually tolerated encounters with one of the resident cats. It's a good life. I've earned it. I'm looking for a forever home who understands I’m getting better with age. I don't need other cats. I don't need chaos. I need consistency, a good food bowl, and someone who won't take it personally when I just need a minute. In return, I will be somewhat snuggly, quite talkative, and 100% hilarious. I was almost a cautionary tale — now I'm ready to be your most endearing, sometimes dramatic, companion. That's the deal. I promise I'm worth it. Pea is also part of our Respect Our Elders, seniors for seniors adoption program.  WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
About Me This beautiful little girl  is such a playful and spunky little thing! She loves to run and tumble and is quite the jumper and acrobat as well. She is always on the go - exploring boldly, but will slow down for a cuddle and pet as well. Her coat is also extremely soft which isn’t always apparent at first glance. Waffles would love an active, stimulating environment where she gets plenty of play and romp time. Story
About Me Hi, I’m Tigger! My name might make you think I’m bouncing off the walls, but I’m actually quite the opposite. I’m a calm, gentle brown tabby who prefers a peaceful afternoon over a wild adventure. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once I settle in, you’ll find me relaxing in sunny windows, perched on a cat tree, or patiently waiting for my favorite part of the day—wet food! I get along wonderfully with the other cats here at the adoption center and have a quiet, easygoing personality that makes me a great fit for just about any home. Because I’m so polite and never demand the spotlight, I’m often passed by for the more outgoing cats. But I have so much love to give to the person who takes the time to get to know me. If you believe the sweetest treasures are sometimes the ones waiting quietly in the background, I’d love the chance to meet you. I think you'll discover I'm worth the wait. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
Hi there… I’m Chap. I’m about a year and a half old, a sleek 10-pound gentleman, and I’ve got one very important job: making sure I don’t miss a single thing happening around me. Seriously—if there’s action, I’m there. If there’s exploring to be done, I’m already on it. I’m not really a “sit quietly in a small space” kind of guy. I like to be out and about, part of the household, supervising, investigating, and occasionally offering my expert opinions (yes… I am a bit of a talker). Now don’t get me wrong—I do enjoy snuggles. Head rubs? Absolutely. Pets? Yes, please. But I’m also honest about my boundaries. When I’ve had my fill, I’ll let you know. So if you’re someone who understands kitty body language and respects a guy’s personal space, we’re going to get along just fine. When I first arrived at the adoption center, I was a little unsure of everything (can you blame me?). But once I settled in, my true personality came out—loving, curious, outgoing, and ready to connect. Because of that, I’ll likely need a little time to decompress in a new home too… but once I do, you’ll see exactly what makes me special. What I’m looking for: A home where I can roam, explore, and be part of the action Someone who appreciates a chatty, expressive companion A human who understands that love sometimes comes with boundaries You can come meet me at The PURRfect Match Cat Adoption Center, and I’d love the chance to show you just how charming (and entertaining) I am. Come say hi—I’ll probably say hi back.
