We have had a doxie shortage around here for a while but finally have this gem! Well, technically she’s a chiweenie but definitely heavier on the weenie 🌭, just with slightly longer legs. Layla is a 14 month old sweetheart. A little timid at first but a sweet playful puppyish girl who warms up fast. She was never taken outside or put on a leash and was just trained on wee wee pads, so will need some work on leash-training and housebreaking (probably putting wee wee pads outside to start as she definitely knows and targets them). She likes other dogs, but plays rough and her best friend growing up was a German Shepherd, is about 16lbs full grown, and seeing a vet for the first time this week and getting spayed. WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. This sweet, young boy was found running the streets on his own. He had no collar and no microchip and no owner ever came forward to claim him. He is very friendly and very smart and only 13 pounds. We think he is close to a year old. He loves other dogs, cats kids, horses… He never meets a stranger.
