We have had a doxie shortage around here for a while but finally have this gem! Well, technically she’s a chiweenie but definitely heavier on the weenie 🌭, just with slightly longer legs. Layla is a 14 month old sweetheart. A little timid at first but a sweet playful puppyish girl who warms up fast. She was never taken outside or put on a leash and was just trained on wee wee pads, so will need some work on leash-training and housebreaking (probably putting wee wee pads outside to start as she definitely knows and targets them). She likes other dogs, but plays rough and her best friend growing up was a German Shepherd, is about 16lbs full grown, and seeing a vet for the first time this week and getting spayed. WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was brought in with babies when her owner couldn't take care of her. She was not socialized very well so will need some work. She will need a very patient person to get her to come out of her shell. She was kept outside so she has no house manners, nor has she been with cats. She does do well with dogs her size and seems to like to play with them.
