Story
Buddy, Milo and Gia are three adorable puppies looking for a home to call their own Buddy - Male - 10 months old - 10.7 lbs. - Tri Color - Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier/Dachshund/Chi mix Milo - Male - 4/5 months old - 9.4 lbs - Tan/White - Chi/Rat Terrier mix Gia - Female - 4/5 months old (sister to Milo) - 6.0 lbs - Tan/White - Chi/Rat Terrier mix Buddy is full grown and Milo/Gia are mostly full grown! We do not think they will get much bigger, if any. They were all found together running the streets of Texas, by the Mexico border in a small town called Edinburg. After holding them for a few weeks, nobody stepped up to claim them, which is normal in south Texas. People get tired of dogs and let them out like they were never apart of their family. All 3 doggies are quite active and love to run around and play, a fenced in yard is ideal for them because despite how small they are, they love to play, play and go go. They do love children but because of how active and playful they are, we do recommend children 4-5 years and up, for the children's safety and for the dogs. Buddy (the tri color one) is a bit calmer and more laid back than the other 2, but he does love his play and outside time! They love other dogs and would thrive in a home with other doggies. All 3 are friendly and loving. A home that is medium to higher active would be best suited for all of these babies. Buddy, Gia and Milo are all so young and have so much love to give. Please consider when applying to adopt they will need consistent training to help them become the best doggies ever. The foster is working on crate training with them, and so far, it's going well! Leash training is a working progress as they like to just play, play, play. They absolutely love all toys! When they are tired of playing, cuddling is their next favorite thing. They will sleep in bed with you if you let them. We do prefer another dog in the home with them, but if not, please consider Gia and Milo together. It is not required, but they do get along wonderfully together! If no other dog in the home, please also consider doggy daycare or a neighborhood play buddy to help get their energy out. These 3 babies will be fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm tested if over 6 months of age, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($695) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH - Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH - Cincinnati, OH - Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Bridgeville, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA North Carolina - Cities Pending We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the Texas foster who has the doggy for you to make sure the pup is the perfect fit

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Offa — a tiny Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest little face. At around 3 years old and just 8 pounds, Offa is a quiet, sensitive boy who is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When Offa first meets new people, he can be a little shy and unsure, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), his soft and loving personality begins to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys companionship and gentle affection from the people he trusts most. Watching him slowly come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding. Offa is crate trained and does very well in his crate. He is still working on his house training and leash skills, so he’ll need a family willing to continue helping him build confidence and learn routines at his own pace. He responds wonderfully to kindness, patience, and positive reinforcement. This little guy has already been through quite a journey. When he came to us, he was covered in ticks and fleas and clearly had not been given the care he deserved. Thankfully, he received a full veterinary workup, and his bloodwork came back negative for any tick-borne illnesses. He also had a dental cleaning, so his teeth are now squeaky clean and healthy! Offa is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to blossom and finally experience the comfort and security every dog deserves. With a little time and understanding, this sweet boy will make a loyal and loving companion. Interested in becoming a forever home for Offa? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet Titan! Titan is a 14-year-old, 13-pound Dachshund who is proof that it's never too late for a fresh start. He was rescued alongside 41 other Dachshunds from a home, and he is now looking for a quiet, loving family where he can spend his golden years in comfort. This sweet senior is completely blind and has some mobility limitations, but don't let that fool you—Titan still enjoys exploring the world around him at his own pace. His favorite place is a secure yard or grassy outdoor space where he can safely wander, soak up the sunshine, and take care of his business. Busy city sidewalks aren't really his thing, and he would do best in a calmer environment where he can feel safe and relaxed. Titan is a gentle, easygoing companion who spends much of his day snoozing in a cozy bed. While he's more of an independent guy than a cuddler, he has started seeking out affection as he settles into foster care and enjoys being pet and spending time near his people. He's wonderful with other dogs and gets along with everyone he meets, including children, adults, and seniors. One thing Titan absolutely loves? Mealtime! Despite having no teeth, he never misses an opportunity for a good meal and approaches every dinner with enthusiasm. His future family should be prepared to continue working on his housetraining routine, as he is still learning a consistent bathroom schedule and may have accidents. Thankfully, Titan is incredibly cooperative and tolerant with handling, happily accepting baths, medications, and routine care. Titan is looking for a patient, understanding home that can accommodate his special needs and give him the comfort, consistency, and love he deserves. In return, he'll be a loyal, grateful companion who is simply happy to have a safe place to call home. Story
Cosmo - 2 years & 16lbs, Chi Mix, Neutered Our Team Says: "This pup was rescued from a hoarding situation in PR - involving about 40 dogs. Due to this these pups are on the shyer side and need patient people who will give them time to get used to normal life. They are very sweet dogs: just need more time and patience." This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Their Foster Parent Says: "Cosmo has been with me for four weeks now, and what a change – he is truly a different dog. At the outset he was timid and fearful of anyone who would try to touch him, a reflection of the neglect I suspect he suffered in his former life. He used to like to hide in his crate and move back into the furthest corner if anyone approached. Now he’s an affectionate little love-bug! When I’m walking around the apartment he is like my shadow, following me everywhere and nudging my leg to get my attention. When I’m sitting, he is either sleeping on his tummy next to my chair or he puts his chin on my chair and waits for me to stroke his head or under his chin – or, best of all, to do both simultaneously! He seems to go into a love coma with his eyes half shut and his ears standing up! He is much more trusting and friendly with everyone now, even strangers we meet on our walks. He will nuzzle their hands and let them stroke him. He has also become more playful and has a little lamb he likes to shake and hear it squeak. He usually takes it into his crate at night, along with his “hedgie”. He has a new toy called a “Dog Brick” where one hides treats in various little compartments. He is having such fun with it and has become quite clever at flipping the lids and sliding the blocks to find the goodies! Right from the start, Cosmo has been a very sweet, calm dog and as he has become more settled he has only become sweeter. He is a gentle soul who rarely barks, never growls and is not at all mouthy, the perfect apartment dog. He never nips and has no interest in chewing shoes or anything else. He is completely house-trained and rarely has an accident. He loves to go “walkies” and always waits until we are outside to “go”. He likes to sniff just about everything outside and does pull on the leash a lot – I’m trying to train him not to. He generally seems scared of other dogs, even the littlest ones. We usually stand to one side as they go past and he never lunges or shows any aggression towards them. Based upon a couple of encounters in the park, he also seems to be gentle with children." Level of dog ownership experience required:BEGINNER – “Beginner” doesn’t necessarily mean easy as all dogs will require time, work, and patience, but we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale because of their breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup.  Energy level:MEDIUM – Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Okay in the city?Yes - doing well here Potty trained?Yes - doesn't have accidents Social with other dogs?Yes, okay to live with another dog  Social with cats?Yes, would be fine to live with cas  Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Okay for a home with respectful kids  MOUTHY BEHAVIORPast this stage– Little to no interest in chewing on stuff or putting things in their mouth that aren’t food. Doesn’t try to chew on hands, feet, etc. during playtimeSEPARATION ANXIETYPast this stage – Completely fine being left home alone. Doesn’t cry or exhibit destructive behavior when you leave the apartment or house. LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in their life but figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction. CUDDLE BUG LEVELLower – Independent, mostly keeps to themself (may be a new rescue or shy, this could change) JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLOCalm Greetings – Doesn’t jump up on people or dogs. Always all four on the floor. CRATE TRAININGYep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night.  Medical status:Healthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2753197##

Story
Cindy - 3 years & 17lbs, Chiweenie, Spayed  Her foster says: "From the moment she arrived, it's been clear that Cindy genuinely loves being around people and wants to be part of whatever you're doing. She's not especially cuddly or the type to climb into your lap, but she absolutely wants to be near her people. If you're working from home, she's perfectly content curling up at your feet while you work, quietly keeping you company. She has a calm, comforting presence and seems happiest just being close by. With that said, when you want to get her excited she's all for it and is ready to play! She's an adaptable little adventurer who has already explored so much—from the dog beach to busy city streets and the waterfalls at the park—and she has loved every new experience. She's incredibly curious and loves meeting other dogs. While she's a bit shy during those first introductions, she actively seeks them out and is steadily growing more confident with each new encounter.Watching her settle into this new life has been so rewarding. Every day she seems a little braver and a little more comfortable." This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Social with other dogs?Yes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other canines. Social with animals?Yes – Seems to get along with cats etc., either tries to play with them or is mostly uninterested . Not sure about cats, but zero issues with the squirrels and birds we see daily. Comfortable with children?  (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Yes for most ages – very confident, gentle, low energy, tolerant, not mouthy. We try to err on the side of caution, respectful kids ages 8 and up are probably a safe bet. Children must always be monitored and taught to interact with dogs of any age carefully.  Seperation AnxietyAdjusting – Might cry for a few minutes when you first leave the house but settles pretty quickly and has no problem being left alone otherwise. Story
Meet Lola! This very sweet and spunky girl is very skittish and distrustful with new people, but has really blossomed in her foster home. We believe she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and has many personality traits that we think will appeal to the Chihuahua people out there. This girl is not only beautiful, but is also housebroken, crate trained and knows several commands. She'd also be perfect for those hot summer months and cold winter months, since though she loves to be outside, she's not super fond of lengthy walks. Once she chooses her person and bonds she's silly, playful, cuddly and loyal, the perfect work from home companion who loves to sit on your lap and help with whatever you are doing. She's not a fan of other animals, children, or strangers especially men although she's been able to make friends with them if they ignore her at first and offer lots of yummy treats- intros have to be slow and on her terms. If you like quirky but lovable little dogs, please submit an application to meet her. Primary Color: Tan Age: 2yrs 11mths 1wks
