Story
Buddy, Milo and Gia are three adorable puppies looking for a home to call their own Buddy - Male - 10 months old - 10.7 lbs. - Tri Color - Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier/Dachshund/Chi mix Milo - Male - 4/5 months old - 9.4 lbs - Tan/White - Chi/Rat Terrier mix Gia - Female - 4/5 months old (sister to Milo) - 6.0 lbs - Tan/White - Chi/Rat Terrier mix Buddy is full grown and Milo/Gia are mostly full grown! We do not think they will get much bigger, if any. They were all found together running the streets of Texas, by the Mexico border in a small town called Edinburg. After holding them for a few weeks, nobody stepped up to claim them, which is normal in south Texas. People get tired of dogs and let them out like they were never apart of their family. All 3 doggies are quite active and love to run around and play, a fenced in yard is ideal for them because despite how small they are, they love to play, play and go go. They do love children but because of how active and playful they are, we do recommend children 4-5 years and up, for the children's safety and for the dogs. Buddy (the tri color one) is a bit calmer and more laid back than the other 2, but he does love his play and outside time! They love other dogs and would thrive in a home with other doggies. All 3 are friendly and loving. A home that is medium to higher active would be best suited for all of these babies. Buddy, Gia and Milo are all so young and have so much love to give. Please consider when applying to adopt they will need consistent training to help them become the best doggies ever. The foster is working on crate training with them, and so far, it's going well! Leash training is a working progress as they like to just play, play, play. They absolutely love all toys! When they are tired of playing, cuddling is their next favorite thing. They will sleep in bed with you if you let them. We do prefer another dog in the home with them, but if not, please consider Gia and Milo together. It is not required, but they do get along wonderfully together! If no other dog in the home, please also consider doggy daycare or a neighborhood play buddy to help get their energy out. These 3 babies will be fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm tested if over 6 months of age, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($695) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH - Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH - Cincinnati, OH - Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Bridgeville, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA North Carolina - Cities Pending We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the Texas foster who has the doggy for you to make sure the pup is the perfect fit

Story
Meet Lola! This very sweet and spunky girl is very skittish and distrustful with new people, but has really blossomed in her foster home. We believe she is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and has many personality traits that we think will appeal to the Chihuahua people out there. This girl is not only beautiful, but is also housebroken, crate trained and knows several commands. She'd also be perfect for those hot summer months and cold winter months, since though she loves to be outside, she's not super fond of lengthy walks. Once she chooses her person and bonds she's silly, playful, cuddly and loyal, the perfect work from home companion who loves to sit on your lap and help with whatever you are doing. She's not a fan of other animals, children, or strangers especially men although she's been able to make friends with them if they ignore her at first and offer lots of yummy treats- intros have to be slow and on her terms. If you like quirky but lovable little dogs, please submit an application to meet her. Primary Color: Tan Age: 2yrs 11mths 0wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Offa — a tiny Dachshund mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest little face. At around 3 years old and just 8 pounds, Offa is a quiet, sensitive boy who is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When Offa first meets new people, he can be a little shy and unsure, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), his soft and loving personality begins to shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys companionship and gentle affection from the people he trusts most. Watching him slowly come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding. Offa is crate trained and does very well in his crate. He is still working on his house training and leash skills, so he’ll need a family willing to continue helping him build confidence and learn routines at his own pace. He responds wonderfully to kindness, patience, and positive reinforcement. This little guy has already been through quite a journey. When he came to us, he was covered in ticks and fleas and clearly had not been given the care he deserved. Thankfully, he received a full veterinary workup, and his bloodwork came back negative for any tick-borne illnesses. He also had a dental cleaning, so his teeth are now squeaky clean and healthy! Offa is looking for a calm, loving home where he can continue to blossom and finally experience the comfort and security every dog deserves. With a little time and understanding, this sweet boy will make a loyal and loving companion. Interested in becoming a forever home for Offa? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

DOB 12-7-2024 Wolfie is a gorgeous Red and White Long Hair! This beautiful boy loves everyone, likes to play with toys and his friends. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart6 preventative injection, up to date on shots and is now looking for a loving home. His adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 135.00. HEARTS is our transport, they run every 2 weeks. It's the best transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. After you submit your application please allow a few days to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We do look for the best home that fits each of our pets, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved we with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the pet you are interested in.Together we can decide if this is the best choice for both.

Story
PROSPECT PETE: Tiny Dog. Massive Feelings. Absolutely No Men. Prospect Pete is a 5-year-old miniature Dachshund who was found wandering the streets of Louisiana looking like life had thoroughly kicked his little wiener-dog ass. When NorthStar took him in, Pete was skinny, covered in hair loss, had double ear infections, needed a dental, had a growth on his chest, and frankly looked like he’d been through several terrible life choices and at least one bad relationship. The good news? His body is healing. The bad news? Pete has apparently decided that men are canceled. We can’t know exactly what happened to him during his first five years, but we’re pretty certain a man failed this little guy in a big way. Pete would very much like to file for a lifetime restraining order against the male gender and is currently accepting applications from women only. His ideal home consists of: ✔ Women. ✔ More women. ✔ Another friendly dog. ✔ Snacks. ✔ Soft voices. ✔ Someone who is home a lot. ✔ Absolutely no dudes trying to “win him over.” Pete doesn’t bite men. He doesn’t attack men. He simply looks at them and says, “No thank you, sir. I’ve had enough.” He adores other dogs and apparently every anxious little dachshund needs an emotional support dog. He loves toys, running in the yard, car rides, and being close to his person. He sleeps quietly in his crate when he knows you’re nearby because, like many of us, he simply wants reassurance that everyone isn’t leaving him forever. Now, let’s discuss the elephant in the room: Pete is not housebroken. There. We said it. Pete wears a belly band because sometimes his feelings get bigger than his bladder. He uses potty pads when available, goes outside with encouragement, and continues to work on his life skills. He’s basically a middle-aged man who refuses therapy but is making small improvements. He also hates cats, so if you own a cat, Pete would like to respectfully suggest that you do not. Pete needs: • A female-only home • Another dog companion • Someone home most of the day • Patience • Understanding • A sense of humor • An appreciation for tiny dogs with enormous emotional baggage He is not a plug-and-play dog. He is a project. A tiny, adorable, traumatized, opinionated project. But if you’re looking for a fiercely loyal little shadow who will love you with his entire crooked, anxious, dachshund heart, Prospect Pete might just be your guy. Apply at www.northstarpets.org and ask for PROSPECT PETE LA. Warning: Pete comes with trust issues, a loud bark, occasional accidents, and enough emotional damage to qualify for his own therapist.August 3, 2026, 6:51 am
