Story
My father passed away a few months ago and I’m looking to find an amazing home for his dog. His name is Raleigh, he will be 5 in June! He is a beagle/hound mixed cutie and about 60lbs. (Yes I LOVE this dog and would take him if I physically could ❤️). He has medical needs (epilepsy) that is well controlled with meds (no seizures since July)… but does require someone that’s available to administer meds at certain times throughout the day (4x a day). He’s amazing with other dogs, loves to cuddle, and clings to his people. TBD on cats, I don’t know if he’s been test but he’s submissive enough my guess would be he would do great. He’s been staying with a sitter and she’s not going to be able to keep him much longer and I’m not able to keep him with my work schedule.

Story
Maggie is a 4-year-old mixed breed with the sweetest heart. She is happy, energetic, and incredibly loving. She has completed a 2-week obedience training program and knows the following commands: Walks well on a leash without tugging Sit Down Go back (similar to a ‘place’ command) Maggie is also crate-trained and does great in her crate during workdays. This decision has been absolutely heartbreaking, but we recently discovered that Maggie does not do well with small children. I want to be clear that Maggie has never bit/attacked anyone. However she is clearly uneasy and territorial around children in the home (no issues with kids outside of our home.) With her being a larger dog, we don’t feel comfortable putting any children or Maggie at risk. She is in excellent health, has had annual vet visits, is spayed, and is fully up to date on all vaccinations. Vet records can be provided.

Story
Ozzy came into my life in a very special way. He was gifted to me at 4 months old by a dear friend who was battling cancer. She wanted to make sure he went to a loving home where he would be safe, cared for, and truly loved and I promised her I would do that for him. Ozzy is now 1 year old and has grown into such a sweet, loyal, and loving dog. He has a big heart and an even bigger personality. He absolutely loves to play especially with his giant wooden blocks and enjoys chewing on bigger toys. He’s an active dog who needs space to run, play, and get his energy out. A home with a yard or someone who enjoys being outdoors would be perfect for him. Ozzy is also incredibly affectionate. He loves to cuddle, be close to you, and feels happiest when he’s part of a “pack.” While he can be on his own, he truly thrives when he has people around him. He listens well and is a good boy, but like many young German Shepherds, he would benefit from continued training and structure to help him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Chugger is great boy. He is 100% Staffordshire Bull Terrier but is a dwarf with really bad hip displasia. He can only do 1 step and needs non slip floors. He has his own ramp to get up on the sofa. He is crate trained but has done great being left out when his foster is not home. He is on special food. He weighs about 54 lbs. He only goes outside to potty but “walks” are limited to a 5 minute lap around the perimeter of the house due to his weak legs. He is also pretty deaf. Not fully, but pretty severe. He is low maintenance. He sleeps a lot and plays with toys. Chugger likes company but is not a Velcro dog. He is not a fan of the snow/cold. He will need to be leashed to get him to go outside long enough to do his business. Otherwise he pees and runs for the door. He can do a couple of steps to get in the front door but does not do stairs at all. He doesn’t bark much at all. He met another small female dog and was non-reactive and had zero interest in her.  Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application Needs NeuteredLooking at Diesel today you would not see the emaciated backyard dog he was when he came to us. What you will see is a healthy, happy, handsome Dogue De Bordeaux. The name Diesel belongs to an unloved, forgotten dog; this handsome, sensitive dog deserves a new name given to him by his new loving family. HISTORY: A good Samaritan saw a skinny dog and asked if he could have the dog. Unfortunately, even too thin Diesel was too big for an apartment, luckily the good Samaritan found Mastiffs to Mutts Rescue. PERSONALITY: Diesel is the sweetest boy. He is house trained and good with all sizes of dogs. He knows sit and wait, is polite and well behaved in the house, but needs leash training. He is very good at the Vet’s office and loves to meet new people. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Diesel loves ear rubs, belly scratches and living indoors. Diesel enjoys the mattress in his crate and will go in there to sleep during the day. MEDICAL ISSUES: As is typical with Mastiffs, Diesel suffers from ear wax build up and will need his ears checked and cleaned regularly. He will be neutered before he is adopted. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: For all that he’s been through, Diesel is a remarkably calm and balanced dog. He just needs a family that will give him the training and security he needs. He would be a good first-time Mastiff for a lucky family.Click here to watch a video of Diesel.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
