Story
🐾 Meet Luna Sweet, Loyal, and Looking for a Loving Home 🏡 Luna is a 4-year-old sweetheart (born around late Dec 2020-early Jan 2021) who's full of love and loyalty. When we first got her a little over a year ago, she was scared of car rides, her kennel, and men but she's come so far! She now loves car rides, knows her kennel is her safe place, and warms up to men quickly once she feels comfortable. Luna does great with older kids and other dogs and is very gentle with cats. She has lots of playful energy but mostly loves cuddles and attention. She's fully house-trained and very food-motivated. She can be nervous in new situations and has bitten in the past when stressed, so she'll need a patient, experienced adopter who can give her time to adjust. We love Luna dearly, but our son has developed a pet dander allergy, so we sadly need to find her a new home. She deserves a family who will love her as much as we do. ❤️

Brownie is a young lab mix. She has a high ball drive and loves to play catch. She needs lots of physical exercise and loves to cuddle. Although she is good with other household dogs, this will take an introduction phase. Unfortunately we bit off more than we could chew with Brownie and are unable to give her the time she needs. Story
Meet Artemis, goddess of zoomies, queen of cuddles! Artemis is dog-friendly, kid-friendly and perfectly playful with a snuggly sweet side that will keep you warm and cozy at night. With Rescue usually we have to guess a dogs breed— but not this girl! She had a real fancy DNA test done and the results are in— she is a unique blend of American pitbull terrier, Chihuahua, and many other breeds, Artemis is a one of a kind beauty. She’s a true texas western roundup!! This gorgeous girl is estimated to be just a year and a half old, and she currently weighs in at a slender 42 pounds. Artemis is currently fostered in a loving home, and her foster mom has nothing but wonderful things to say about her! She’s described as so sweet, and accused of “thinking she’s a lap dog,” though her snuggles are always a welcome addition to any moment. Her foster mom brags that she’s crate trained for up to twelve hours! She doesn’t have accidents indoors, and her all time favorite thing is running! “Zoomies are her thing,” her foster mom says. See her in action right here, then come back to read more about your new best friend! https://youtu.be/aS64OjmBYHI?si=DQbVZSKkJpaM4-X4 In a previous foster home, Artemis lived the family dog lifestyle alongside a three year old boy. They played, snuggled, and had a great time. Artemis adores toys, and shares them well with her humans. She likes to play fetch, and she never tears up her stuffies. She’s so precious and easy to love. She has the cutest habit of arching her back like a cat when she plays, and she uses her paws in the cutest way. With other dogs, Artemis is so playful and fun! She loves to zoom, so naturally she loves to play chase. She shares affection well with other dogs and doesn’t mind backing away from a human to let another dog into the snuggle puddle. She loves to play outside- She doesn’t mind the mud, she doesn’t mind puddles, she’s an outdoorsy girl and loves the yard 365! Artemis is also a really smart girl, capable of great training! She takes treats gently, and responds really well to direction. She’s already easy on leash, and considering her outdoorsy personality she would make an amazing little hiking buddy. She already knows “sit” and “down” and she’s shown us that she can learn “spin.” She seems to know “paw” but she’s still working on her consistency with that one. She’s such an impressive girl! Artemis is such a perfect girl and she’s ready for her perfect home! We think Artemis would do best in a home with a yard for her to zoom in. She would love to live with kids, she’s a perfect family dog! She could live with dogs, her foster mom thinks she would do best in a home with medium to large male dogs. Artemis is scared and avoidant of cats. We are willing to test Artemis with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67859a15e018abf7c8057b92 Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
This sweet boy is a LOVER, he adores people, and exudes so much gratitude for each and every pet. His name is Hector Zeroni and he lives up to every part of the “happy hoppy goofy goober” portion of his name. Hector almost immediately became a rescue favorite, his goofy and bright personality brings joy everywhere he goes. Social and friendly, great with other dogs, easy on leash, is so smart, loving and friendly, he’s a dream dog. Hector is such a good boy! He shines in a lot of areas but he shines the most in his ability to make you laugh! When he’s super excited and happy (which he’s happy all the time) he does this full spin hops in the air like he’s a dancing goat. It’s the cutest and funniest thing ever! You’ll catch little glimpses of it in his video. We suspect Hector to be a Dogo Argentino, Pit Bull mix, around 3 years old. He is a rescue so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. He weighs in around 50 pounds. Fall in love with Hector here: https://youtu.be/aRX4bkcNN78?si=4DYZIPbcYcKsZv0V In his foster home and here at the rescue, Hector does not have indoor accidents. He’s great in the car, and has taken long drives while sharing the backseat with other pups. No anxiety, or barking from this boy- just a confident car rider looking forward to the destination. He is also very easy on leash and would make an excellent hiking, or camping buddy. He loves his outside time too, whether it’s enjoying some happy little zoomies or romping with other dogs, Hector is just happy to bask in the sunshine. Hector has a goofy and silly play style, with lots of hops, tail wags and chase. He will engage in those rumble and tumble moments with other dogs and also knows when it's time for a play break as well. He also isn't the type that is going to be overly pushy about wanting to play either. Hector is great when he is around other dogs that don't like to play. He's simply off doing his own thing or he's getting spoiled with affection from people. In a home, he would do best with an aloof medium energy female that enjoys playing and also appreciates those calmer moments as well. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too! Hector doesn't need the company of other dogs to be his happy goofy self. He's that way all on his own and he'll love all the attention too. No kitties for Hector please, he was a little too interested in our house cat biggie. With humans, Hector is up for just about anything! This sweet boy has never met a stranger, and is so quick to give away his big pittie kisses. Hector will play tug of war, or catch toys in his mouth. He’s also happy to just hang out and get some pets. Indoors, Hector has excellent house manners. He loves the couch, and he’s soooo snuggly. Hector is deaf, which we suspect to be genetic- he is a white pittie, and deafness is common with white pitties. Hector’s foster family is learning how to teach him hand commands, though Hector is a rescue and lots of life experience that we don’t know much about. Hector seems to already know at least some hand signals, watch his video to see him “sit” on command! Because he is deaf, Hector won’t respond to a verbal “no,” but he does respond well to a squirt of water. Water guns or spray bottles will be your best friend as you teach Hector how to be your perfect dog. Hector is food-motivated and love-motivated, a VERY smart and eager-to-please boy that will pick up on training quickly. Hector’s deafness will be his super power in your home, Hector isn’t scared of thunderstorms or fireworks because he can’t hear them. He isn’t overwhelmed by loud, hectic households. If you’re someone who enjoys hosting, Hector is super social, friendly, and doesn’t mind hearing lots of voices or loud music! Sounds like a match made in heaven to me! Hector would do best in a feline-free home, but he’s not too picky about anything else! We believe he would do well in a single dog or multiple dog household, as a family dog or a companion to a single person. Small children may not be a good match for Hector, without hearing, dogs can easily be startled by hard touches from little ones. Hector may be best suited for a home with kids 10+, old enough to understand, and work around his deafness. Hector will be a perfect match for you if: you’ve recently taken up the tuba and aren’t very good yet, frequently host, only drive with loud music, or live in a busy city. Actually, Hector would LOVE living in an ultra-urban area- new friends on all of his walks, tons of scents to sniff and lots of things to do? Sign him up! If you’re looking for a sweet, smart boy with SO much love to give, Hector is your guy. This boy is SO good. We are willing to test this handsome little guy with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you. If you have any questions about him, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, who would be thrilled to have a discussion with you about this sweet angel boy. Meet Hector Zeroni in person in Friendswood, Texas, or virtually via video chat to get to know him better. Please email priya@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
**Now fostered in Olympia, WA** Meet Bluebell! 💙 This stunning, green-eyed beauty is a 45-pound young Pitbull mix with a heart as big as her smile. Literally as big as that smile! It is so hard to catch her without a smile! Bluebell is the definition of sweet and spunky — she’s outgoing, affectionate, and ready to soak up all the love and playtime life has to offer. Bluebell is confident, happy meeting new people, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. We have met her numerous times at the rescue and each time, she comes in as if she has known us her entire life! Everyone is a friend, and everyone exists to tell her she is the most beautiful girl in the world. (That fawn coat with those green eyes has us all goo goo gah gah) It is a sweet, innocent confidence. Despite the difficulties prior to entering rescue, she still has so much love to give and she doesn’t hesitate for a second to give it. With people OR dogs! Bluebell recently recovered from a leg injury, and now that she’s off bedrest, she’s bursting with joyful energy. Watch her run, goof around, and keep up with all the dogs here: https://youtu.be/S0Al1AEZogQ She may have a cute little walk the rest of her life and that just makes her even more special. You would need to look very closely to notice it! She’s a champion car rider, patiently shares treats and food, eats like a little lady, and is both crate and house trained. Bluebell lives with a large male dog and does fantastic with other pups — she will thrive with a doggy sibling. Miss social butterfly loves companionship! When she came for playgroup, she was with a playful energetic female, a very stoic handsome male (he likes to think he is the playgroup police lol) and a calmer female. What we were impressed with the most about her, is how she was able to adapt her play style to each individual dog's personality! A home with a yard would be ideal to give her space to run and play. One note — no cats for this girl. She thinks they are fun to chase! When it comes to kids, she’s currently living with a one-year-old infant and they spend their days together. Bluebell always loves to give her kisses, play bows, but also is respectful and gives the baby boundaries. When she met our teammate's one year old son, she was the same way! She has the routine at her foster home down. Her foster mom says she loves chew toys and Kong's filled with peanut butter. They go on daily walks with the baby on the stroller and the two dogs on leash. Those are her favorite! She has even come across new dogs on walks and done great meeting them!! Bluebell is confident, happy meeting new people, and always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. She’s a loving, lively companion who’s still learning the ropes but has all the makings of an incredible best friend. If you're looking for a joyful spirit to grow with your family, Bluebell might just be your perfect match. She is petite and full grown. Your life is about to get much livelier and happy with Bluebell in it! Apply now. First thing's first....have you seen those ears?! Oh my goodness Bronco's ears are one the many amazing things about him! He is not only extremely adorable, but he is also treat motivated, dog friendly, affectionate, and has such a sweet personality. Watch Bronco's video here: https://youtu.be/tiY_pz9y2Mk?si=anupQwyqfW_PrDaT Bronco is believed to be a a cattle dog mix that is currently 7 months old and currently weighs 31 lbs with room to grow. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bronco is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play. He loves toys and his happy place is next to you getting belly scratches. This handsome boy wants to be your very best friend! Bronco is also very dog friendly and is currently fostered in a multi-dog home all ranging in sizes and personalities and he gets along great with all of them. Bronco has even been around dogs that are more reserved and shy around other dogs. He is so gentle and mindful of the fact that they might be ready to be his friend yet. He loves to give sweet little face kisses and takes corrections well from other dogs if they aren't wanting to play. Bronco also is great around small dogs too. He shares treats and affection around other dogs, no jealously with him. He knows there's enough to go around. He is a young fella and would do best in a home with another medium energy playful dog that is looking for a new bestie. Bronco is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Bronco's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
