Story

I adopted Whiskey in Atlanta, GA in October 2023. I lived there with him until June 2025. Whiskey is a very loyal and cuddly dog. He does well with people he knows, in a calm environment. He requires slow and calm introductions to new people and animals. He did not interact well with my parents' dog at first, but now they run and play together! Whiskey loves to be with his person and to play tug. I am looking to rehome Whiskey because I am currently in Law School and have small nieces that I am around all the time. I do not have the time, capacity, or environment that Whiskey needs to be properly trained. While Whiskey is a genuinely good dog, he can be unpredictable when it comes to what might trigger his anxiety/reactivity. For this reason, he is too much to have around my young nieces. Whiskey would do best in in a home without children because he can be sensitive to grabbing/handling. He requires an owner that is experienced with dogs, specifically in recognizing cues.

He is just a super cuddly snuggle bug and walks nicely on a leash when given appropriate support. He's also still working on having nice house manners but he gets better every day! Very high energy, needs someone to play, walk her, she can jump really high. She can open certain types of doorknobs. She is in a home with a small toddler and a pit who is very old and ill, and she isn’t able to play or have what she needs and deserves. She is good with the baby but is getting sat on, hit with toys, smacked etc., and just not a good situation at this point. The older dog is almost ready first rainbow bridge and she will have no one to try to play with, etc. I am also wanting to move and that is also an issue as I’m downsizing to a home with no yard. The main issue is my toddler and that I cannot provide time for her as I’m a single mom, and have a f/t job as a nurse plus starting school. My plate is full. I need to find a good home for her where she can be happy and fulfilled, here she is not.

Alfi is now 4 years old, born in November 2021. Alfi is very loving, kind and energetic however he can no longer stay with me. I have farm animals which he does not get along with. He does get along with other dogs if introduced slowly but plays a bit too aggressive for smaller dogs. He responds well to his name, however if he is unleashed in an open area he will take off. knows his basic commands like sit, wait, go. He needs someone who is active, to go on walks or runs multiple times a day. He is very loving however he needs a bit of patience and time when being introduced to new people and pets. please message me for further details.
