Story
Rae is a 5-7 month old husky mix recently. Very sweet dog, follows you around everywhere and just wants to be with people and get as many pets as possible. She is crate trained, loves to play fetch, knows basic commands and we are working on more. Unfortunately our older dog, an Aussie Shepard (who has previously lived with other dogs), is not warming up to her at all; this has lead to some confrontation between the animals. We are at 1.5 weeks of the 3 weeks based on the 3/3/3 method and have had no success with the two animals building a relationship. Our plans are to meet with a behaviorist/trainer to try to bridge the relationship between the dogs but still have our concerns for both dogs in the long-term. We just want what is best for both animals and for Rae to find a loving home where she can continue to soak up the love she deserves.

Story
We first got pennie in 2019 at the Humane Society. She's a energetic girl even in her late years and will want to play with as many people as possible. She's about 10 years old and acts like she's 2. But even with her energetic lifestyle she wants to hangout and socialize with as many people and dogs as possible. Growing up pennie wasn't properly socialized with other dogs, but I've regularly taken her out on walk trying to get her to socialize with other dogs. She can understand orders likes sit, stay, and shake. She's an active dog and will constantly want walks and to play with other dogs. If you have a strong arm and steady hand she'll be your beloved pet for her entire life.

Story
Ziggy – Sweet, Energetic Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Ready for His Forever Adventure Home! 🐾 Hi! I’m Ziggy, a handsome 3-year-old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon (about 70 lbs) with a big heart and a loving personality. I was responsibly bred and purchased from a reputable breeder in Wyoming, and I come with all my original paperwork. I’m a true family dog — super sweet, affectionate, and happiest when I’m hanging out with my people (especially kids!) or exploring the outdoors. I love going on hikes, playing fetch, and just being part of the daily action. I’m very adaptable and easy-going, but I do have plenty of energy and thrive when I can stretch my legs and play. I currently live with my sister Ziva (also a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon), and we are best buddies — we play beautifully together and would love to be adopted together if you have room in your heart (and home!) for two. We’re both well-socialized and enjoy canine companionship.

Story
All Milo wants is a ball to chase, a family to adore, and a place to finally call home. This is Milo, a pure bread Border Collie who is the most loving best friend you’ll ever have. Milo is obsessed with playing ball and he always has a toy to bring you! Before coming into our care, Milo was treated poorly and then abandoned, so loud noises can startle and make him anxious. He can get scared if you try to physically move him, however this is often not an issue because he is an amazing listener! He knows all the commands except shake, he is very protective of his paws. He loves scratches anywhere else, especially his nose! You haven’t lived until you’ve been the cause of his dopey, tongue-out nose scrunch. Milo’s dream family is a single-dog household, but can be introduced to smaller dogs and puppies in a neutral space—anything goes if a ball is involved! Milo is in need of immediate rehoming, I simply am not able to give him the life he deserves. Milo can’t wait to hear from you!

Story
Hi everyone! I’m Ziva, a sweet and clever 3-year-old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. I’m Ziggy’s sister, and we were both responsibly bred in Wyoming with full paperwork from the breeder.I’m a wonderful mix of energy and calm. I’m very smart, quick to learn, and love to play and run around — you’ll often catch me zooming with my brother or chasing a ball. But I’m equally happy just chilling at home with my people, cuddling on the couch, or keeping you company during quiet times. I’m affectionate, playful, and great with kids!My brother Ziggy and I are best friends and play together beautifully. We’d love to be adopted together if you have space for two happy, active griffons (but we can also do great separately with the right family). If you’re ready for a smart, fun, and loving girl who will keep you smiling with her playful spirit and sweet cuddles, I’d love to meet you! My family is here to answer questions and support a smooth transition to my forever home.

Story
Meet Woofgang Puck, or just Puck for short! This lovable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix is a little bundle of joy, possibly with a sprinkle of Beagle in his genes. At first, Puck may come off as shy, but give him a moment, and his playful side will shine like a star! Puck adores his toys and loves to get into some light-hearted trouble—just picture him as the life of the party! He enjoys his naps, but don’t let him miss out on the fun; after all, who wants to snooze through an adventure? He loves being outside, but keep an eye on him—if the yard isn’t secure, he might go on his own mini explorations. And be careful! If a door is left open, he’s ready to dash out! When it comes to other dogs, Puck needs a little help. He has a tendency to “assist” them with their meals, which can be quite annoying. His friendly greetings can be a bit much—he barks, jumps, and wags his tail enthusiastically, which may confuse his canine pals. With some training, he can learn to tone it down. He’s also learning how to handle his protective instincts, but if you have other pets, be prepared to guide him through it. Puck is quite the jumper when he’s excited and might unexpectedly leap onto you, giving playful nips at your legs! He listens when corrected but often forgets the rules once the fun starts again. While he’s crate trained, Puck feels much more comfortable snoozing on a cozy bed rather than being confined to a crate. Sleeping in your bed isn’t something he’s into just yet. The good news is, he’s house trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out. Puck does have a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day for it. He can get a bit anxious, especially when being picked up or during car rides, and sitting on laps isn’t really his scene. This sweet boy is looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and understanding. With your support, Puck will be ready for short hikes and exciting adventures with his favorite human! Puck has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. He also had a recent dental and lost a few teeth. If you are interested in adopting Puck, please complete an adoption application on our website. Just go to uaaf.org/adopt.
