Story
Meet Dusty! 🐾 Dusty is a 1.5-year-old silver Lab mix with the sweetest soul and the softest snuggles. After being found as a stray and brought to a local shelter, Dusty’s story took a happy turn when A Lab for Life stepped in to give him a second chance at the life he deserves. This handsome silver boy is truly a gem. Dusty is incredibly well-natured and gets along wonderfully with everyone he meets—dogs, adults, and kiddos alike! He’s house trained, eager to please, and responds quickly when redirected, showing just how smart and attentive he is. When it’s time to relax, Dusty shines as an all-star snuggler who loves being close to his people. When it’s time for adventure, he’s equally happy! Dusty is very motivated to explore the world and enjoys being outside. He does pull a bit on leash, but with consistency and guidance, this smart guy will pick up polite leash manners in no time. Dusty would make a fantastic companion for an active family or individual looking for a loving, affectionate, and loyal best friend. If you’re searching for a sweet, social pup with a heart of gold, Dusty may be the one for you!

Story
Elsa is Miss Independent and sassy with other dogs. Confident to push her brother, Elf out of the food bowl - she was the 'mighty mouse' of her group. She follows dogs around and is curious about what's happening, willing to go off and explore alone. She sleeps on a pillow and likes to chew on hard ropes and bones. Elsa rolls over for belly rubs and when held, will use her charm to lick your nose. Elsa will need more one-on-one to bond with people and seek out holding, petting. She trusts and knows her foster family. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6 HER-STORY: From 8 weeks to 12 weeks; Elsa was in a foster home being Quarantined (no outside, no other dogs) to address persistent intestinal worms, upper respiratory infection and low body weight. Elsa did well eating and after rounds of medication, gained weight and started to thrive. She and her littermates then started meeting new [vaccinated] adult dogs to play with. House training is slow due to the initial quarantine (play pen in a designated room of a foster home); the puppies lived outside covered in fleas without shelter when ACO found them. Adopters should have supervised outside time to reinforce potty training without the puppy feeling abandoned. DUE TO AGE and medical care (Quarantine, repeat parvo testing, Medicine) the puppy adoption fee applies to this pet. Elsa is guessed to be 14 weeks old. -She is Spayed and on prevention. She is a black with tan markings, Elsa has black marks on the top side of her paws. Her tail has been docked and appears to be a ‘home’ job. Rescue does not do DNA / genetic testing. CCR will not crop ears. --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Animal Control conducted a cruelty investigation on a property and found multiple sets of Doberman litters, various ages. CCR took care of all 8 Dobermans removed from the home. Elf and Elsa were the youngest (both blacks, about 8 weeks when brought to rescue). These puppies were clearly not handled as babies. They ran from people, hid under furniture. Doberman puppies can and will socialize to people, being held and bond even if ignored as babies. They are held by our fosters - fed by hand and given medication orally, held for nail trims. They did not growl or resist being held, just not as needy as typical dobie puppies who want to be carried like babies. Fostering Saved These Puppies Lives. The Shelter could not provide the medical care the babies required. INTAKE VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/voZpYVmWhYI?si=oJ9sK7WtxnneonWF

Story
Basil is a very sweet, affectionate and playful gal. She came into our care when her family was seeing they were not meeting her needs. She enjoys a good lap to sit in, a yard to play in and receiving human attention. In her prior home, she was good with respectful children and other dogs. She does need a household that can keep her beagle genetics from getting her into trouble. She has a nose that will find an open trash can and will chew items like pens and stuffed animals. She is still getting settled into our care here, so we have not yet put her with another dog here. To keep her healthy, the veterinarian does recommend she received a doggy dental, scheduled to be done 12/31. A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Basil`s $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email info@centralvermonthumane.org, to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Basil.

Story
Meet Echo Wren: A Survivor, A Hero, A Best Friend Echo Wren’s story is one of resilience, love, and hope. This stunning Husky mama was found locked in a trailer with no food, no water, and no fresh air, bravely protecting and nurturing her 8 puppies despite the dire circumstances. Her strength and devotion saved her little family, and now she’s ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished as much as she deserves. Echo Wren is more than just a survivor—she’s a gentle soul with a heart full of love. She’s fiercely loyal, incredibly smart, and has a playful, adventurous spirit that will light up your life. Whether it’s a hike in the great outdoors or a cozy evening on the couch, Echo Wren will be your steadfast companion through it all. She’s great with people, adores belly rubs, and has a soft spot for treats (who doesn’t?). Echo Wren is also a devoted mama, and her nurturing nature shines through in her interactions with everyone she meets. She’s ready to leave her past behind and embrace a future filled with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. If you’re looking for a dog who embodies strength, love, and loyalty, Echo Wren is your girl. She’s not just a pet—she’s family. Are you ready to give this incredible mama the happy ending she’s been waiting for? Echo recently had a day out on the town with one of our volunteers, and here's how it went: "If move-in ready was available in dog form, Echo would be that dog. Most dogs, when they go for a day out, are a little nervous about jumping in and out of a car, not Echo. From the moment I picked her up, she knew exactly what to do. She waited by the back door for me to open the door and jump right in and waited to be buckled up. Some poor planning on my part, but our first stop was a pup cup that was next to a construction area filled with people, but Echo did amazing!! She kept running over for pets, did not seemed bother by the noise or any one walking past. Just was quietly and excitedly observing. We did move to quieter area where she got to smell some flowers. Any time I would “baby” talk to her she would get excited and run and jump up for me to pet her. She loved the treats and I was able to pet her while she was chewing. After hanging out for a bit she moved over to a cooler concrete slab and took a nap, when I went to pet her, she rolled over and insisted I give her belly rubs. She may have fallen asleep during this! We took a walk through the woods which she loved. We stopped at one more location before heading back, which was a pretty popular park. Bikes and people were going past and she did amazing with all of it. Echo really just wanted love and attention. She did well with both males and females, noise and quiet, every situation she aced. She just seemed so happy to be in the spotlight." Adoption Fee: $250 Currently located in Fosters, AL and can be transported North to an adopter for an additional $200. Interested in adopting?
