Story
Pebbles is an adorable pup with floppy ears and a stunning black and brown coat that catches everyone's eye. Pebbles is a lover and enjoys being affectionate with both humans and other animals. She's social and bonds with everyone she meets. As a puppy, Pebbles is still in the process of becoming fully house trained, but she's making progress. Pebbles is not yet crate trained, but she's currently working on it. She can spend 30 minutes in her crate with a Kong and is doing well. Pebbles' behavior around children hasn't been tested, but she is generally submissive and gentle with people. Pebbles has handled being alone for up to 3 hours quite well, but she hasn't been alone for longer durations. Pebbles is left alone for 1 hour in the morning. During the day, she spends 3-hour periods downstairs with her sister while her foster parent works upstairs. Pebbles gets along well with other dogs and is quite submissive, especially with smaller dogs. Pebbles is good with both smaller dogs and her own sister, displaying patience and friendliness. Pebbles enjoys the company of cats and gets along with them. Pebbles is currently in training to get comfortable with car rides. Pebbles loves playing with sticks, her donut toy, and her Kong. She enjoys playing and napping, striking a balance between activity and relaxation. Pebbles likes to start the day with morning playtime, including wrestling and chasing, but she's also content to hang out indoors with her toys. She knows basic commands like sit and touch and is working on learning the "down" command. Pebbles is still getting used to walking on a leash and is gradually acclimating to city noises, improving each day. Pebbles would thrive in a home with a yard and a friendly dog sibling for playtime. Pebbles has some cute and funny behaviors, such as snoring and hiding under the sofa so her sister can find her. When you look at Pebbles, she might be saying, "Look into my beautiful eyes so I can hypnotize you." Pebbles is a sweet and sensitive pup who forms quick bonds with people and other animals. She's extremely affectionate and needs a gentle and kind owner who can give her the time and patience she needs to feel secure in the world. Pebbles is playful but also content to entertain herself while staying close to her humans. At 4 months old and 35 pounds, she's ready to bring love and joy to her forever home. Story
Meet Van Gogh, a resilient and spirited canine with a tale as inspiring as his namesake. This brave soul, a rescue dog, endured a turbulent past where his ears were tragically severed in a botched procedure, devoid of any comfort or veterinary care. Despite this harrowing ordeal, Van Gogh exudes boundless happiness, his tail wagging so vigorously it seems to stretch from "ear to ear." At just over a year old and 54 pounds, Van Gogh embodies the true essence of canine resilience. His enduring spirit shines through in his love for life, evident in his affectionate nature and remarkable ability to get along famously with both children and dogs of all sizes. This lovable pup finds immense joy in the company of his family, his heart swelling with contentment when surrounded by their love. Van Gogh's zest for life extends to his love for car rides, a delightful adventure he eagerly embarks upon. While he cherishes the moments spent with his family, Van Gogh dreams of a home with a backyard, a place where he can frolic and play, basking in the freedom of open spaces. Blessed with a reliable recall, he is a charming companion, ready to shower his forever family with boundless affection and unwavering loyalty. Despite the hardships he has faced, Van Gogh stands as a testament to resilience, teaching us all the power of love and the capacity to find joy in even the most challenging circumstances. Van Gogh does well in a kennel & sleeps in one at night. He is microchipped, on preventatives, fully vaccinated, & neutered. He is being fostered in Seguin, TX and is ready for his new home. Story
Welcome Loki to CCPAL Rescue. Loki is a 3-month-old sweetie. He is a Lab/Pointer is our best guess. He has adorable long floppy ears and webbed feet. His feet are big so he should be about a 60 lb dog is our best guess. He is good with other dogs, soft and cuddly when you pick him up and leash trained. He does good on car rides and has been held a lot as a puppy so he is social and adorable. These puppies are not as active as some breeds and we would say moderately active puppies. The momma dog is very gentle and sweet too. If they are like her, they will be wonderful dogs. Loki is inquisitive and good in his play group. They are not too vocal or big shedders. He is in a family with teenage children and is getting on a good routine. He currently weighs about 18 pounds but they are eating and growing fast. He would be great in a family and would be fine around children. We like them to be 8 or older. Loki has a bunch of siblings and is one of the siblings that has a beautiful grey coat. They were all found as strays and a good Samaritan is keeping them while we vet them and find new forever homes. Loki has gotten his first puppy vaccine, nail trim and will get 2 more before he leaves the Rescue. He can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
