Story
Lillie is a real sweetheart that was surrendered with two other dogs to a shelter in the south and she was rescued off the euthanasia list just in time to save her life. She will be coming north on transport in mid December and, pending how she settles in, may be ready for adoption in early 2025! Her foster in Texas (where she is presently until mid December) says she is very calm, gentle and still learning about the world around her as she must have had a rough life prior to being surrendered. She has gotten along with other non-aggressive dogs of her own size (medium size) but does not like dogs that play rough or try to dominate her. She gets along well with cats and is learning to walk on a leash and interact with strangers as she gains more confidence and realizes the world can be a happy place. She would be best in a home with older children that are most predictable and calm. She will need someone willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom into a confident dog. She is not yet used to and so far does not like car rides as they are a bit scary for her though in time that could change. She is not at all destructive, does not chew on stuff other than her chewable toys and bones and is just happy to be near her person for love and reassurance. A very sweet, eager to please, low-maintenance girl, she will make someone a wonderful companion ! If interested in her please email villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com for more information or to fill out an application.

Story
Houston and Atlas are extremely bonded brothers who are literally the most human affectionate dogs our rescue has ever come upon! Both are over 80 lbs, but both want to be lap dogs and would crawl under your skin if they could! These boys LOVE people of all ages including children who love to hug and lean on these gentle giants! You can even take a stake or a bone right out of their mouths without even a dirty look from them! They love just being near people, are not high exercise dogs, but are up for walks and playing in the yard, and love being outdoors, in water and even love the snow and cold weather ! They love car rides and would be great on a farm with farm animals but... NO CATS for these big boys! They would fit in on a (catless) farm or perhaps as companions at a country store or shop where people frequent and they can soak up a lot of attention form customers ! We have loads of pictures and video of them that we can not upload here (limit to uploads) and are hoping they can soon find the loving forever home they deserve and which deserves them too! If you'd like to meet them or learn more please contact us at villageforpawsrescue@gmail.com

Story
Please contact Jetta (Jetta.elliott@att.net) for more information about this pet.A 6 month old female Goldendoodle puppyMattie is a joyous goofy sweetheart of a golden doodle puppy. With goldendoodles you pretty much know the personality you’re getting. They are the easiest dogs to foster because they have fabulous natures with families and pets. She’s definitely a baby. She had her first haircut yesterday. Mattie is currently located in Harrison Arkansas and is transported to locations near youth via the rescue network transport. I have set up a Facebook page where you can see videos of her to get to know her. We do not give out applications until after phone interviews, so you may want to include your phone number in your inquiry. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18usvXPYr7/?mibextid=K35XfP https://www.facebook.com/share/v/12F9SFNT9Ka/?mibextid=K35XfPDecember 7, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
Ms. Ruby Red is an absolute charming girl that has had a hard start at life. She has a birth defect called enophthalmos, which basically means her eyes are too far set back into her skull, this caused her to also suffer from severe cherry eyes and entropion in both eyes making it very difficult for her to see and in constant pain. Along with these issue she had also been hit by a car as a young puppy, probably because she couldn't see! Thanks to a concerned citizen we were made aware of Ruby's situation and were able to give her the much needed care that she needed. Now after months in foster care and multiple surgeries this awesome pup is ready for her furever home with only has a small scar on her left thigh, see perfectly fine and no longer in pain. She is available via ground transportation.
