Story
Age: DOB 9/27/23 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, older kids Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Meet Takini. This girl is something special. When she arrived in rescue she was half starved and mangy. She had no idea how to live in a home. But this girl is so smart and so loving. Now she's crate trained and potty trained and has learned that relaxing is a good thing. She's learned that she loves toys and her chewy bones. She loves snuggles and wrassling. She's still learning that her feet done belong on the counter, but corrects easily. She is a husky mix, so needs a home with the ability to give her the exercise and stimulation required by the breed. She would also love to have another dog in her forever home. If you think you might be a good fire for this very special girl, come meet her. She's worth the trip! 💜

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Rex is an almost 2 yo, 50lb Shepsky mix who is your definition of fun and floppy! Rex came to MN in Feb 2025 and has gotten to experience his first big snow with Minnesota scenery! Rex was originally picked up a stray, and kept in a foster home, but mostly stayed outside in his pen weather permitting. He is still working on marking, house training, and pulling on a leash. Rex is such an eager to please dog, he will do anything for a tasty treat and being told he is the best boy, (because he IS!) Rex has already learned sit, down, touch, and wait, in just 2 months in foster care! Rex   takes nice long afternoon naps, and sleeps great in his crate overnight.    Rex would do best in a home that has space to play inside and outside, an adult dog friend, and a human friend who can keep up with his Husky shenanigans, and who can keep working with his basic training.  Rex does show some prey drive, but we think it's closer to a game than a hunt, so lots of toys are going to be his favorite! Rex is currently fostered with a young pup, and does well with them, but would benefit from the companionship of an older dog to help teach him.   Rex is still a teenager, so he is exploring the world with his mouth, as adolescent dogs do. He's learning his boundaries, and picking up on social cues. Rex would thrive with some mental stimulation and plenty of exercise!  If you would like to learn more about Rex, please submit an interest form on our website:      https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN *Adoption fee for Rex is $525 + MN tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@12 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 19, 2025, 11:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus tax Presley is a spunky, independent, sweet loving girl who is going to make a great companion! She is an incredibly intelligent and active dog who will certainly keep you on your toes. She has mastered every puzzle we’ve given her but still gets very excited at the sight of them. Presley is housebroken and walks well on a leash, but could benefit from some general obedience training (mostly recall). She responds VERY well to training and is quick to pick up on new commands. She is very athletic and would definitely love to do some fun obstacle courses or agility training. Her favorite things to do are go for walks, watch squirrels in the backyard, and play at the dog park. She is the friendliest little girl with other dogs and tends to befriend every dog at the park as well as their humans. Presley is great with kids but would probably do best in a home with children over the age of 8 as she tends to lack physical awareness :). She will occasionally bark at people at the door or when she needs to go potty, but she is not excessively vocal. She needs a family who is regularly active and will give her the daily stimulation she needs to thrive. Presley has been a wonderful source of joy and laughter in our home and I’m very excited to soon see her thrive in her forever home!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Meet Oden, a Husky born approx 3/1/23. Oden is mostly house-trained. He is getting used to being tied out in the yard and in a kennel. He only stays in there during the day, so the cat has a chance to do his thing. Oden sleeps with me (in bed) all night. He seems slightly interested in the cat, but the cat wants nothing to do with him, so there hasn't been much interaction. He doesn’t chase down the cat or try to get to the cat when the cat is around. He is AMAZING with my five-year-old. He is very playful and thinks life is a game. He has the attitude of a typical husky. He wants to lead on a leash and pull you around, and he never wants to do something he doesn’t like (i.e., go into his kennel). He will run around playing a game of chase. He loves his bone and rope; he will play tug of war. He is so cuddly and sweet. He is a runner and would be best suited in a place where he can have a lot of space to run. He cannot wait to find his forever family!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 5, 2025, 9:34 pm
