Let me introduce myself--I`m Kennedy, a domestic short-haired cat with dilute calico markings, estimated at about four years of age. No surprise that I`m a female--we calicos are almost always girls! When I turned up in a neighborhood and appeared to be without a home, a compassionate individual made sure I got to Animal Ark and out of harm`s way. Now I`m getting lots of good food, attention and affection from the staff and volunteers, and I`m hoping to find a home where I can relax and enjoy life. I can`t go to a home with other felines. My history with dogs is unknown. I do have kidney disease, but don`t let that scare you - I`m on a special diet and doing well! I just need someone who`s willing to help me stay healthy and loved. I`d be pleased to make your acquaintance if you think I might be a good fit for your home.

Hi there! I’m Sven, a brown tabby male kitten—one of eight adorable kittens who were discovered in a vacant apartment, all alone and in need of help. Thankfully, a kind young woman rescued us and brought us to Animal Ark, where we’ve been showered with love, tasty meals, and plenty of playtime. We’re a lively bunch—three girls and five boys—named after the characters from the movie Happy Feet. While our past with dogs and young children is a bit of a mystery, we do best with gentle, respectful introductions. For that reason, we’re not suited for homes with children under five. To help us grow into well-socialized, confident cats, Animal Ark requires that kittens like us be adopted in pairs or placed in homes with a resident cat or kitten. I was rescued by an animal control officer and brought to impound, where Animal Ark stepped in to help. Thanks to them, I’m now safe, warm, and well-fed. They’ve named me “Noir”—a sleek, solid black kitten with a mysterious past. My experience with children, dogs, and other cats is unknown, so I’m looking for a home without children under five. To help me develop proper feline social skills, I’ll need to be adopted with a kitten companion or placed in a home with a friendly, playful resident cat. A kind person took care of us after she found us without food or shelter in her neighborhood. We came to Animal Ark as soon as space opened up, and we`ve been learning how wonderful it is to have regular meals and a roof over our heads. I`m a buff-colored tabby male and can`t go to a home with children under the age of five years old. I`m bonded with my sister Zazu, and we must go home together. We are both still a little shy and would do best in a quiet home without dogs. I am Jett, a 1 1/2-year-old solid black cat originally adopted from Animal Ark as a kitten. I was in a multi-cat household for over a year and got along with everyone except my sibling, a very shy female. We were adopted together, but at some point, we were no longer friends. My family tried to make things works, but for the good of everyone involved, human and feline, I came back to the shelter for a fresh start. In my previous home, my other cat roommates were a male around my age and a senior female. We got along well, cuddled and played together. Going forward, my cat friends will have to be assertive enough to not allow me to be too bossy. I`m a lover boy and ready to embark on a new adventure to the right family.
