Let me introduce myself--I`m Kennedy, a domestic short-haired cat with dilute calico markings, estimated at about four years of age. No surprise that I`m a female--we calicos are almost always girls! When I turned up in a neighborhood and appeared to be without a home, a compassionate individual made sure I got to Animal Ark and out of harm`s way. Now I`m getting lots of good food, attention and affection from the staff and volunteers, and I`m hoping to find a home where I can relax and enjoy life. I can`t go to a home with other felines. My history with dogs is unknown. I do have kidney disease, but don`t let that scare you - I`m on a special diet and doing well! I just need someone who`s willing to help me stay healthy and loved. I`d be pleased to make your acquaintance if you think I might be a good fit for your home.

My mom Nala, my sibling, and I were found wandering without food or shelter until a kind neighbor stepped in and kept us safe. When Animal Ark finally had room, we learned what it feels like to have full bellies, warm beds, and people who care. I spent time in a loving foster home getting extra TLC, and now I’m back at the shelter, ready to find the family who will be my forever. I’m a shy boy at first, so I’d thrive in a calm home without dogs.
