I am Mona an active, loving 17-year-old grey tabby female. Even though I enjoy sitting in your lap and being snuggled and pet, I also like to run and chase toy balls and toy mice. If you dangle one of those toys on a stick, I will jump up, just like a young kitty would! I am a vocal gal who enjoys a good conversation, and I have a wonderful purr motor to let you know how happy I am. I would prefer to be the only cat in the house and not live with canines.. Let me introduce myself--I`m Kennedy, a domestic short-haired cat with dilute calico markings, estimated at about four years of age. No surprise that I`m a female--we calicos are almost always girls! When I turned up in a neighborhood and appeared to be without a home, a compassionate individual made sure I got to Animal Ark and out of harm`s way. Now I`m getting lots of good food, attention and affection from the staff and volunteers, and I`m hoping to find a home where I can relax and enjoy life. I can`t go to a home with other felines. My history with dogs is unknown. I do have kidney disease, but don`t let that scare you - I`m on a special diet and doing well! I just need someone who`s willing to help me stay healthy and loved. Meet & Greet can be arranged with an approved adoption application. *** *** Bonded Pair--I must be adopted with my sister Zazu. ***I`m Simba 2, a 1-year-old cream-colored tabby male who came to Animal Ark with my mom Nala and a sibling. A kind person took care of us after she found us without food or shelter in her neighborhood. We came to Animal Ark as soon as space opened up, and we`ve been learning how wonderful it is to have regular meals and a roof over our heads. I`m a buff-colored tabby male and can`t go to a home with children under the age of five years old. I`m bonded with my sister Zazu, and we must go home together. We are both still a little shy and would do best in a quiet home without dogs. I am Jett, a 1 1/2-year-old solid black cat originally adopted from Animal Ark as a kitten. I was in a multi-cat household for over a year and got along with everyone except my sibling, a very shy female. We were adopted together, but at some point, we were no longer friends. My family tried to make things works, but for the good of everyone involved, human and feline, I came back to the shelter for a fresh start. In my previous home, my other cat roommates were a male around my age and a senior female. We got along well, cuddled and played together. Going forward, my cat friends will have to be assertive enough to not allow me to be too bossy. I`m a lover boy and ready to embark on a new adventure to the right family. *** Currently in a foster home. Meet and greet will be arranged with an approved adoption application. ***I was just a few days old when I was found orphaned, alone and in need of help. Thankfully, a compassionate young woman contacted Animal Ark, and they quickly stepped in to bring me to safety. From there, I was whisked away to a loving foster home where I was bottle-fed and cared for until I was old enough to start eating on my own. They named me Wonder, and I`m an orange and white male kitten. Because I’m still growing and learning, Animal Ark has a few requirements to make sure I thrive in my forever home: I can’t be placed in a home with children under five years old. I must be adopted with a kitten buddy or go to a home that already has a friendly, playful resident cat. Having a feline friend helps me develop good social skills and makes growing up way more fun!
