Story
This cat was found but I can’t afford to keep her, take her to the vet, and she is unregistered at my apartment. I’ve been trying to find a friend or family member to take her for a month or two but I haven’t had any luck and I would feel bad taking her to the shelter. She is really shy with people and will hide but not aggressive or mean. She is very small but I’m guessing her age is like 1-2 years old. I already have one cat and they get along but it did take some time for them to acclimate. I do not know how she would do with dogs or kids but I assume it would take some time as well.

Story
Georgie is a one-of-a-kind girl with a big personality and an even bigger curiosity about the world around her. She is a vocal girl! This gorgeous grey and brown medium-haired beauty is equal parts sassy and silly, with a playful spirit that keeps life interesting. She’s always on the lookout for what’s happening next—whether that’s chasing a string toy, peering out the window, or investigating whatever you’re doing (because clearly, it’s her business too!). Georgie feels safest when she can perch up high and observe her surroundings, and like many cats, she just needs a little time to adjust to new sights and sounds. Rescued from outdoors just before a winter storm, she’s very grateful to now be warm, safe, and cared for. Georgie would do best as the only cat in the home, where she can truly shine as the center of attention. While she hasn’t met dogs or kids in our care, her independent nature and preference for minimal handling suggest she’d thrive in a quieter home that respects her space. She’s not much of a snuggler, but she has her own quirky ways of showing affection—like gently licking your hands or feet and giving playful little nibbles. Currently on Gabapentin to help manage her anxiety, Georgie is looking for a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in and feel safe. In return, you’ll get an endlessly entertaining, talkative companion who keeps you smiling with her nosey, energetic charm. Georgie is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
Meet Aquara! Aquara is a sweet, gentle girl who takes her time getting to know new people. She's timid at first, but with patience, kindness and a few tasty treats, you'll start to see her personality shine. Watching her come out of her shell is a journey filled with small steps forward and the bond you'll build with her is one that will be truly meaningful. Once Aquara feels safe and knows you're a friend, she loves gentle scratches and will happily soak up the affection. Aquara is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace. We want to let adopters know that Aquara has a fractured front incisor tooth. No action required now, but it will need to be monitored. Aquara is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
Dorothy is an adorable black-and-white tuxedo kitten with a playful heart and a charming personality. Affectionately nicknamed Dottie (or Dots), this sweet girl is just over 4 months old and is equal parts adventurer and professional lounger. In fact, she's truly perfected the art of relaxing—you'll often find her stretched out in a hammock or curled up in a cozy poof bed after a busy play session. Dorothy can be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn't take long for her affectionate, flirty personality to shine through. She has a special way of winning people over, whether she's sweetly asking for attention or inviting you to join in a game. She loves chasing balls, playing with interactive toys, and climbing all over her mesh play enclosure, finding creative ways to explore both inside and on top of it. When playtime is over, she's happy to be picked up and enjoys cuddles on her own terms. Dorothy is fully litter trained and gets along wonderfully with other cats. Because she's grown up with her littermates, she'd love to be adopted with one of them or into a home with another young, playful cat. She would do best with older, cat-savvy children who understand that she may need a little time to settle in. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate kitten with just the right balance of energy and relaxation, Dorothy is ready to become your new best friend. Currently fostered with: The Whiz, Toto, Hickory, and Auntie Em. Dorothy is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Story
Lovingly referred to as "Potato" by her foster parents for her round stature, Sparky is full of life, love, and resilience. One of Sparky's most endearing features is her nubby ears, which give her a striking resemblance to her namesake, Como Zoo’s Sparky the Seal. Before Sparky came into rescue, she was living with chronic ear infections and likely a great deal of pain. She patiently waited for a specialized surgery to remove her ear canal, and along the way also underwent a spay and dental procedure. Needless to say, this girl is no stranger to the operating room, but she has been a trooper through all the vet visits and countless doses of medication. If there's one thing Sparky loves most in this life, it's food. She may not be able to hear a thing, but somehow, she always knows exactly when it’s mealtime. She's never one to miss a snack! Sparky adores gentle scratches and being brushed. She'll happily let you scoop her up for a few moments of cuddles before giving a little wiggle to let you know she's ready to be back on all four paws. Through and through, she is a certified sweetheart. She starts purring almost instantly when she sees you walk into the room. After everything she's been through, Sparky deserves nothing less than the very best. She's ready to trade vet visits for sunny windowsills, cozy naps, full food bowls, and a lifetime of love with a family who will spoil her the way she deserves. Due to her previous ear issues, Sparky could be prone to infections in her left ear so her new family should keep an eye on her ear and make sure her veterinarian is aware. Sparky is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Adoption Fee: $265 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ look for the bio and click “Apply for Adoption”. Story
Kitten Nugget is a beautiful young torbie with a rich brown and gray coat and a personality that's just as vibrantas her coloring. Confident, curious, and full of charm, Nugget was the boldest kitten in her litter—the first to venture out, discover new toys, and conquer the tallest cat tree. She's always ready for her next little adventure but knows exactly when it's time to slow down for some affection. Nugget loves batting toy balls across the house, wrestling with her feline friends, and finding the perfect sunny window for an afternoon nap. When the day winds down, one of her favorite places to be is curled up in bed beside her favorite person. She enjoys cuddles on her own terms and is perfectly happy being picked up, though she's independent enough to spend time entertaining herself too. Nugget is fully litter trained and gets along wonderfully with other cats. She has not met dogs while in rescue and is expected to do well with respectful children. Because she is about four months old, Nugget should be adopted into a home with another young, playful cat or adopted with a littermate. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and adventurous companion, Nugget is ready to steal your heart. Kitten Nugget is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Adoption Fee: $285 + applicable tax Come see Kitten Nugget at the Petco in Highland Park located at 2277 Ford Pkwy, St. Paul, MN 55116.
