Toribia can be a little shy at first and loves having cozy hiding spots where she feels safe—don’t be surprised if her favorite places are tucked away in closets or under (or even on top of!) the bed while she settles in. Once she feels comfortable, Toribia’s playful and affectionate side begins to shine. At around 1½ years old, Escape is the perfect mix of curious adventurer and professional nap enthusiast. True to his name, he loves exploring his surroundings, checking out every corner, and keeping an eye on the world outside—especially when there are birds to watch from a sunny window perch. When he's not busy supervising the neighborhood wildlife, you'll usually find him stretched out in a patch of sunshine, enjoying a well-earned nap. Escape is also highly motivated by treats, gets excited for mealtime, and absolutely loves attention from his humans. Escape gets along well with other cats and has done great with kids. Meet Mama Shower aka Buttons! This sweet little lady had a rough start to life, but she has been a trooper. She is down a leg and may have some trauma to work through as a result, but she is still so eager to love and be loved. Shower is a petite, young adult cat looking for a calm, quiet home with a lot of patience and understanding to help her adjust to her new life. She is very nervous about new things, people, and places (who can blame her, really?) and requires an adopter who can respect her boundaries while she builds her confidence in a new environment. She loves head scratches and belly rubs, but it takes her a while to build up her trust, and she requires someone who understands that trust is an ongoing process for her. Fortunately, she is very food motivated and can easily be bribed with Churrus and wet food to help speed things along. She also adores other animals, and another calm, confident critter in the house will help convince her that her people can be trusted. Some other adorable Shower facts: She is a chatterbox and is always chirping about something. She will sit up like a prairie dog and "boop" you in the arm or face if she wants attention. She loves to (very playfully) nibble on fingers as a sign of affection. She is doing very well adjusting to life on three legs but does have a harder time with jumping, so will need lots of layers to help her explore. The bottom line is that Shower is a wonderful cat who wants to be loved, but she is still learning how to exist in a non-hostile environment. Food is definitely the fastest way to Beaker's heart, closely followed by gentle pets and plenty of attention. When it's playtime, Beaker can't resist chasing a wand toy, showing off his impressive pounces and acrobatic moves. After he's burned off some energy, he's happiest curled up on a soft bed or cozy blanket, soaking up the comfort and dreaming about his next snack. Beaker is an easygoing kitten who should fit into most homes, especially with a family willing to let him settle in at his own pace. He'd do just fine as your one-and-only feline, but he also seems like the kind of kitten who would enjoy having another friendly cat to keep him company. Meet Lucy, a striking black-and-white tuxedo kitten with a big personality and an even bigger sense of adventure! Born outside a tea shop in St. Paul, Lucy spent the first part of her life living outdoors with her feral mama and siblings. Since coming into rescue, she has made wonderful progress learning that people can be trusted, but she's still discovering just how great indoor life can be. Lucy is the fearless ringleader of her litter. Curious, bold, and endlessly entertaining, she's always the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new room, or convince her siblings to join in on her latest adventure. She loves to perch on the top of the rocking chair so she can survey the whole room! With her high energy level, she loves playing, wrestling with her siblings, and, of course, enjoying mealtime—Lucy is a dedicated foodie! While she isn't a constant cuddle bug, Lucy enjoys affection on her own terms. She tolerates being picked up and occasionally surprises her foster family by completely melting into their arms. She may still hiss as a greeting from time to time, a leftover habit from her outdoor days, but she's gentle and continues to grow more confident every day. Lucy is fully litter trained, great with cats, tolerant of dogs, and would do best with older, cat-savvy children.
