Story
Meet Pepper, a beautiful brown and white tabby kitten with a thoughtful, cautious nature and the sweetest soulful eyes. Born outside a tea shop in St. Paul to a feral mama, Pepper spent her first months learning to survive outdoors. Since entering foster care, she has made steady progress, but she's still learning that people can be trusted.
Pepper is a quiet observer who prefers to watch the world from a safe spot rather than dive into the middle of the action. You'll often find her perched on a windowsill birdwatching, relaxing on top of the couch, or keeping an eye on her siblings' adventures from a comfortable hiding place. She enjoys wand toys, Cat Dancers, and playing with other cats once she feels secure.
Pepper is not a lap cat and strongly prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. She can be fearful of sudden movements and noises and may greet people with a hiss before cautiously approaching. She occasionally accepts gentle pets, especially during mealtime, and her new family should plan to spend time with her while offering treats to continue building trust.
Pepper needs a quiet, adult-only home. She is fully litter trained, great with cats, and tolerant of dogs. With patience, understanding, and plenty of time, Pepper will continue blossoming into a confident companion.
Currently fostered with: Turtle, Greyduck, Lucy, and Wildflyer
Due to her young age, Pepper needs to be adopted into a home with a littermate or another young and playful cat.
Pepper is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age.
Adoption Fee: $285 + applicable tax
