We recently went through some major life changes. He lost a major care giver in his life and since then he has developed some aggression towards strangers specifically at night. He has bitten two adult men minority, really nipped. Once he has met a person he is the most well behaved dog in the world, but especially men he is very fearful of. Story
Hank is a 3 year old 100 pound pure Bred black lab. At home he can be lazy, and loving and goofy- or he can have lots of energy and needs you to throw the ball for awhile. The problem we have with Hank is that we live in an area where people are constantly walking by with dogs and Hank is very protective of our house and us. He needs to be in a more quiet house with a tall fence He can be aggressive with other dogs on off leash but he can also be totally fine and play well-unpredictable. He goes out with a dog walker 5 days a week and gets plenty of exercise but it’s become a challenge for us to handle him with 2 kids and another lab at home. We love him but he might need a home where he is the only dog- he gets along great with our other dog but he is definitely the alpha. He loves to swim and chase balls. He needs an experienced dog owner and someone who is patient and has time to work with him. We have gotten him extensive training but he needs someone with more time.

Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
She is a cuddle bug who wants to go on walks, hikes or just run errands with her person. She loves people, is five years old, a staffie mix and very healthy. She likes to learn new tricks and is food driven. She wants to sleep close to her person and would love to be allowed to snuggle on the couch, but will obey when told to stay down and lay in her own bed. Her breed mix is short and sturdy. She weighs between 37-39 lbs and has all of her shots. We think she would be happiest in a home that is active and doesn't mind bringing her with them when on errands or to their office if allowed. Perhaps someone that works from home. She does very well at dog day care too. She may be happiest as the only dog or #1 pet. She can be alone during the day, but might be anxious if it was too log or often. We adopted Zero during the pandemic when we lived in a much larger home. We've had to relocate to a smaller place creating tensions between her and our other dog.

Story
These two sweet wonderful sisters were born May 28, 2017 and we have had them since 7/2017. We love them dearly. They are happy, friendly, and absolutely inseparable. We are relocating out of the country and have thought of every possible way to take them with us but just can't. We have cats that they sleep with, other dogs that visit, and a Chihuahua who they get along with amazingly. We have 9 and 17 year old boys who play with them. They LOVE kids. They're housebroken, good on a leash, and the best friends a human could ever want.

Story
Dyn is a 3 year old pure breed Icelandic Sheepdog. His name is Dyn, short for Dynjandi, which means thunderous in Icelandic. He is a big personality in a small package. He is very intelligent and loves to herd and loves to bark. I can't stress this point enough. He is also very loyal and his favorite trick is to roll over on his back for pets. He is a great hiker and loves being outdoors. The reason we are looking for a good home is that Dyn needs a job. My husband and I and our two kids are very busy and don't have enough time during the day to give him the job he needs. He gets bored and consequently barks a lot. Ideally if he has a job he can do with his new owners to release his energy that will be very beneficial for him. He is fine with older kids but with younger kids the movement of young kids drives him to try and heard them. Due to his energy level we feel we can't give him the life he deserves and hoping to find a home that will better suit him.
