Story

Angie is a 12 month old, 33-lb, tri-color female cattle dog mix who was brought into the shelter as a stray. She was rescued from the Modesto shelter, and shelter workers described her as sweet, calm, affectionate, gentle with treats, and medium-energetic. She knows sit and some other commands. She is great with other dogs (both alpha dogs and submissive). She coexists with cats, but will chase them when she has the zoomies (she won't hurt them). She has no resource guarding and loves to cuddle. She is potty and crate trained, and is currently in obedience classes. At the time of adoption, she will be up to date on vaccines and spayed. Daisy is a 13 year old miniature poodle mix (spayed), who weighs about 11 pounds. She was surrendered to the shelter by an older couple and landed on the shelter euthanasia list. Story

Meet Julie! This sweet girl made the long journey from Bhopal, India, arriving in the U.S. in early October to begin a new life. She was rescued from the streets of India by caring people who saw her potential & wanted to give her a chance at a better life. Now, at just 16 mos. old, she’s settling into her new surroundings and showing what a wonderful companion she can be. Julie is a little shy with new things, but she’s eager to learn & gaining confidence every day. In just two weeks, she has adjusted so well to home life. She has mastered leash walking, learned to use the dog door, and is house-trained. Julie enjoys people and other dogs, and she does wonderfully with children. Once comfortable, her playful side comes out. She would love a family who includes her in daily life and gives her time to settle in. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, so careful introductions would be needed. Julie has seen a local veterinarian, is in excellent health. Could she be the one for you?

I received max from a relative and max is 3 years-not neutered. I don’t know his current height and weight, he is a big super friendly, smart & high energetic dog, but he is his own being and can give u attitude at times. He is a good listener but a bit difficult to command sometimes. Commands known: Sit, stay, wait, no, yes, calm down, come on, quiet, leave it, drop it, bring it, inside, outside, ok, eat, hugs, kiss, paw. Thrives in a home where someone is around all day but does well in his own area sleeps outside. Max would do best with an active individual or family. Max is good with kids 12+ since he is a big dog he tends to get too excited around little kids and knocks them down. We are hoping to rehome max into a loving family that will give him the time and attention that we do not have unfortunately.

We got her at an adoption fair and we fell in love with her instantly. She does not bite just loves to nibble. She is very playful and wants to play with all dogs no matter big or small. She is about 3-4 years old. We unfortunatly just don't have the time to play and walk her as she needs to be. She is a sweet dog overall and knows how to sit with hand commands and is in the process of learning how to give you her paw. She is in desperate need of rehoming. We cannot keep her. She needs a family that has time for her and can give her walks that she needs
