Story
Merlin is a 5 year old 80lb Shepard mix. We are a family of 5 with three boys ages 11, 15 and 17. Merlin has been in our family for 4 years. He was adopted from Milo foundation a 1 year old. He is a happy high energy dog that loves to chase sticks and roam. Despite a secure gat around our house he occasionally escapes when a door to the house is left open (there are several) or he finds an open gate. Despite a hike with me in the morning and one with a hired walker that knows him well he continues to escape. We live in a suburban community with many hiking trails but still have busy roads that pose a threat. He’s a free spirit that needs more space, maybe a job to keep him busy and a person or people to love him.

Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Best Snuggler + Athletic Lets run!! Wylie is a smart dog down for an adventure. She is a perfect age to learn some tricks. She is attentive and beautiful. I hope for her to find a furever home where she will be loved and cherished for all of her attributes. Her story is remarkable! She followed a Hiker out of the Grand Canyon (me!), escaping a malnourished and undesirable life. She was the first of her pack to follow me. I took all 5 dogs to safety. Max, Janie, and puppy siblings: Wylie and Max are ready for adoption.

Story
Adopted Kona Sep 2, 2018 from San Francisco SPCA. He was born May 2, 2018 and described as a part golden / lab retriever. We're recognized that Kona may have some Jack Russell traits as he has high energy, a tendency to dig, barks to alert us or when he hears sounds, stubborn, loyalty to family, and often displaying a "big dog in a small body". He's skittish, he doesn't like quick reaches to pet him. Kona would do well if he's the only pet in the home. He's loves to be petted. He can sleep inside or outside of a kennel on his pillow or where ever he's comfortable. He eats in the morning and evening and gets treats when training or obeys a command. My husband walks him once in the morning. He stays in our backyard and often runs and hops about like a bunny. Kona is comfortable in our home and choses places to lay down such as a dog pillow, near the fireplace (he likes warmth) and during the summer he likes sun bathing.

Story
Oakley is a country dog from Turlock California. Our time in Turlock allowed him to roam freely in the yard, go swimming at the nearby river and discover many farm animals and friends. Our situation has changed and we are currently living the the Bay area again, where Oakley has limited to no space to roam. His behavior has changed a bit. He seems sad that he no longer has ample space to roam is limited to a small yard. Oakley is very friendly, curious and sweet. He gets along with other dogs and instantly wants to play with them. He is not quite fond of cats. He loves chasing them around and playing with them, but has yet to find a cat not scared of a big dog chasing after them. Normal diet of dog food, but loves to eat everything and ANYTHING. He is one year old ( DOB; 10/11/2024) He is still a teenager and likes to get into trouble. Currently jumping the front fence in order to go around roaming the block with the dog who lives in the corner. Good with recall, comes back
