Story
Macks Story: Mack was found roaming in the middle of the street in Oakland CA. We didn't know if he got out of a yard. The next day I saw him at the same place in the center of the street with a rope around his neck so I thought maybe he belonged to a homeless person. I had to rescue this poor thing so I took him to my shop not to far where I rescued him. I did check around the neighborhood to see if he belonged to someone and I did call the shelter. This is what I have noticed about Mack so far. 1. He has not been socialized with other dogs. 2. He is potty trained. 3. Loves people. 4. Craves love and attention. 5. We think he has been abused since he thought he was in trouble and he crowned to the corner. As much as I want Mack, I already have a pit bull and Mack is not friendly towards my other dog. We feel that Mack needs to be with a person that is retired, outdoors person, a person that will give Mack daily attention and lots of love. Mack is very special. Very smart dog.

Story
Luna is a 5 year old doll who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Luna came to us very scared, but she has come out of her shell in a loving foster home. She is happy to sit by your feet while you’re watching TV, but also loves going on walks and would be a great jogging partner!    This girl is ALL about snuggling. She lives with another very mellow dog and they get along well. She would be happy as an only dog or with another easy-going dog; she also is very fond of children. She walks well on leash; she does have a strong prey drive so need someone who can continue to work on pulling (foster mom is working on her training).    Luna would be happiest in a quiet neighborhood with a backyard, and will benefit from confident, patient guardian who can continue to work on building her confidence. Luna is being fostered in Sacramento. She is spayed, crate-trained, potty-trained (though we always recommend a refresher in new homes), vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on flea/tick preventative.    Email Luna's foster mom for more info on her and tell us a little about yourself-  gina.tomaselli@gmail.com .    For more cute photos and videos of Luna, please visit:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/66077179@N03/albums/72157720119395903/with/51665283018/ . Story
Kelso is a healthy, affectionate, and energetic 2-3 year old, approx. 67 lb pup. He is housetrained, neutered, and friendly — he’s working on his polite greetings. His favorite activities are hiking, playing tug, laying in the sun, and cuddling on the couch. Kelso has been in his home in Oakland, CA for a year and a half, but is struggling living in the city and needs a stronger handler. Kelso walks well on a loose leash on hikes and in less busy areas, but experiences leash reactivity on busy streets and with some other dogs. His current owner has completed several training courses with him, and he’s extremely food motivated and eager to learn. He knows plenty of obedience and tricks, and requires an owner committed to continuing his training. He already knows lots of tricks, including putting his own toys away, closing cabinets on command, and stretching on the command “do yoga.” Kelso is an energetic, social dog who has experience coexisting with other dogs and would thrive in a home with attentive owners, outdoor space, and another dog or two that he can roughhouse with (no cats as he tends to chase small animals or young kids due to his exuberance). ? Story
Meet Arcee - one of our Transformer Pups! She was rescued from the Central Valley with her sister BB and has been in a foster home ever since. Arcee is currently fostered with two big dogs and they play really well. She also has a kitty in the home and is very respectful. She loves to play with other dogs and humans. Arcee is really smart, friendly and the life of the party. She has met tons of children and does well with them too. She really is a perfect, smart, affection gal! We recently did a DNA test on her and she is a mix of 4 breeds - American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd. Arcee has been diagnosed with Megaesophagus and requires livelong medication ($15/month) and feeding  meals upright - her adoption comes with her custom Bailey Chair. She really is a special gal and would love to be added to your family! Reach out and schedule a time to meet Miss Arcee today. Arcee's adoption fee has been covered by the Upright Canine Brigade.  California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.April 30, 2024, 4:03 pm

Story
Seamus (shay-mus) is a one-of-a-kind blockhead who is ready to give his heart to the right person or family. He is in a foster home with lots of dogs and does well with everyone. He’s shown that he is super smart, friendly, playful, emotionally in-tune with his human friends, and a supreme cuddle bug. Seamus is crate-trained, knows basic commands, and walks nicely on-leash. He can be excitable in the way he wants to give all his love at once, but is learning to control his impulses as he continues to decompress in his new structured environment. Seamus is 6 years old, 70ish pounds and healthy. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.April 30, 2024, 4:03 pm
