Story
-I was a stray in Fresno and adopted at ~1yr old. I am now ~2 years old -They call me smart, goofy, affectionate, curious, high energy (working-dog breed) & speckled like a giraffe! -I love to lounge in the sun & can be a big cuddle bug in the evenings -I LOVE playing with other dogs -I am good with kids but can be jumpy and a bit mouthy. This will pass with age -I have a high prey drive (cats, squirrels, birds) -My favorite place is a 17acre off leash dog area where I am content, confident, and playful -I must confess though, I am pretty sensitive to city life triggers such as electric scooters, motorcycles, skateboards, rollerblades. I have been reactive with motorcycle helmets, luggage being pulled, folks using canes/walkers, skateboard sounds and people catching me off guard Ideal home: someone who is experienced with high energy, sensitive, and situationally reactive dogs, has a large open space with a dog or two, no young children, in a rural and pretty quiet environment

Story
Hello my name is Daisy, I am a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier and I am more than ready to find my forever home.  Daisy has been overlooked! She has been citing at the humane society shelter for over a 1 year now, poor girl.  Although she is on the smaller side, she has not gotten much attention, less than a handful of 'meet and greets'. Outside her kennel she is sweet and eager to please! However she might need some time to warm up to people.  Other Dogs: The shelter is very small and due to financial and staff limitations, formal dog testing and play groups are not conducted and therefore information is limited. However, the shelter staff tried Daisy, in an enclosed yard on a leash with another leashed dog that was about her size and they played well.  On walks, she shows interest and ignores other dogs that are nearby - that's a good sign! There are no medical concerns for Daisy other than she can have skin issues if she is in the sun too much, like any white dog. From one of the volunteers - "Daisy can take time to warm up to people, but once she does she's a big time lover. She enjoys cuddling and leaving you completely covered in white fur." And another volunteer said - "With me she has always been silly and affectionate. She loves to be the center of attention, loves to sit on your lap/give kisses, and loves to roll around in the grass." I am currently living at  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, in San Gabriel, CA (Los Angeles County).  The shelter's phone number is 626-286-1159 - contact them to meet me, pretty please! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Nellie is a sweet and active 3 yo terrier who LOVES her toys! This playful girl loves to play chase and spend time with her foster Mom, and especially loves to play with the other dogs and cats in the home. Nellie takes some time to warm up to new people, but will eventually become extremely bonded to her new family. Because Nellie is so shy with new people, introductions will be done at the foster home and applicants should be prepared to spend some time with her during the introduction to allow her to warm up and show her true sweet personality. Nellie is UTD on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. If interested in meeting Nellie, please complete an application at jellysplace.org.

Story
Are you looking for a fun dog to explore the Bay Area with? Then Moose is your guy! This gorgeous chocolate lab mix has been waiting far too long long for his forever family. But he still has the biggest smile and is ready to run, fetch and play. Moose is a champion fetcher and like all labs, also likes the water (though he's not too sure about the swimming part.) He's good in the car and wriggles with excitement when he knows he's going somewhere for a new adventure. He's even down for a bath afterwards! Moose is super sweet but can be a little reserved at first. He is GREAT on a leash, very attentive, checking in with you during the walk or run to make sure he's on the right path. He's also very food-motivated, which makes him even more attentive and easy to train. Moose is not a first time adopter dog. He has some anxiety and is much happier when he is with you than when alone. He requires an experienced adopter with alot of patience who can help Moose feel secure and loved. The ideal home for Moose is with an an active, all adult family with a yard. Moose will excel in agility, nose work and any activity that challenges his sharp.mind and eagerness to learn something new. Come meet him today - you won't be sorry! Moose is crate trained, neutered, microchipped and UTD on his vaccines. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. 1/2 of Moose's adoption fee is being sponsored by a Jelly's Place volunteer.

Story
Edgar is an energetic and playful dog who has never met someone he didn’t like. He likes to bark through fences and is still learning to walk gently on leashes, but he has gotten along well with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He would probably do well in a home with other excitable, similarly-sized dogs with whom he can play. Edgar is also very people friendly, and would likely do well in any kind of family that can give him the exercise he needs. Edgar is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines. His adoption fee goes toward these costs.

Story
Guppy is an all-around great dog, friendly with people, social with other dogs, calm, and loveable. He is a fabulous family dog - his foster home tells us that Guppy is a total lap dog and will cuddle any chance he gets. He doesn't bark, is crate trained and makes the cutest little grunts when he needs to be let out. Guppy walks well on a leash and is housebroken. What more could you ask for? If interested in meeting this handsome boy, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org. (if you already have an approved app on file, please email us at info@jellysplace.org). Guppy is neutered and current on his vaccines. He will be microchipped prior to adoption.
