Story
Hi there, I was abandoned by my owner with my friend Bodie. We both had collars and leashes!! They just drove up to the Hercules waterfront and told us to get out. We don't know why because I am very calm and friendly and i LOVE people, dogs, cats. Luckily, this dog lover saw us wandering in the alley at 2am and came and got us. The first night we slept on the prorch with them. She is so nice. She wants to find a good home for us because she can't keep us. I guess she is bottle feeding foster puppies, have another dog, 3 cats, 4 chickens ...the list is longer that this. I am really talented. I can sit. I can shake paws and I never poop inside. I prefer to go outside. I don't want to sleep where I poop. I love people (anybody) to pet me. I have not been fixed (whatever that means), but my new owner is so passionate about getting me a home, she said she would pay for me to get fixed. Let me know if you can let me live at your place. I think I love you already.

Story
Meet Mukbang ❤️ Mukbang is a 5-year-old male rescue from Nepal with a gentle heart and a loving spirit. He is a medium-sized, sweet, playful, and deeply affectionate dog who adores treats, walks, and simply being close to his human. Despite a very difficult past as a street rescue—where he experienced abuse, threats, and being chained—Mukbang has remained incredibly loving, calm, and trusting with people. He continues to show resilience and a strong desire to bond and feel safe. He is fully house-trained and knows basic commands like sit and stay. Mukbang currently lives peacefully with a small terrier and does well with other dogs in the home. He has also been around a baby and is respectful and calm in that environment. On walks, Mukbang is generally good, but he can become triggered by certain dogs, motorbikes, and fast-moving vehicles, as he was previously hit by a bike in Nepal. Because of this, he needs a confident, experienced, and attentive handler who can continue guiding

Story
Fourteen years ago, we welcomed Rookie into our family from a close family friend, and from the very first day, he became so much more than a pet. He became family. He grew up with our children from middle school through college and has been part of so many precious memories. Now life has brought unexpected changes. Our children have grown up and moved out, and we have relocated to a home that unfortunately does not allow pets. Rookie is a gentle soul who isn't looking for adventure anymore. He is incredibly loving, sweet, and easygoing except around squirrels. We are simply looking for a peaceful home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness. We are hoping to find someone who will welcome him not as "just another dog," but as a cherished member of the family. He deserves a home where he will be loved, cared for, and treated with the dignity every senior dog deserves.

Story
Hello my name is Daisy, I am a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier and I am more than ready to find my forever home.  Daisy has been overlooked! She has been citing at the humane society shelter for over a 1 year now, poor girl.  Although she is on the smaller side, she has not gotten much attention, less than a handful of 'meet and greets'. Outside her kennel she is sweet and eager to please! However she might need some time to warm up to people.  Other Dogs: The shelter is very small and due to financial and staff limitations, formal dog testing and play groups are not conducted and therefore information is limited. However, the shelter staff tried Daisy, in an enclosed yard on a leash with another leashed dog that was about her size and they played well.  On walks, she shows interest and ignores other dogs that are nearby - that's a good sign! There are no medical concerns for Daisy other than she can have skin issues if she is in the sun too much, like any white dog. From one of the volunteers - "Daisy can take time to warm up to people, but once she does she's a big time lover. She enjoys cuddling and leaving you completely covered in white fur." And another volunteer said - "With me she has always been silly and affectionate. She loves to be the center of attention, loves to sit on your lap/give kisses, and loves to roll around in the grass." I am currently living at  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, in San Gabriel, CA (Los Angeles County).  The shelter's phone number is 626-286-1159 - contact them to meet me, pretty please! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.March 9, 2026, 5:05 pm
