Story
Calisi… This pretty gal is 6 years old and in search of her forever home! We took her in to keep her from the shelter because her owner was getting evicted and couldn’t keep her. She’s super sweet and extremely lovable. She definitely thinks she a lap dog lol, also she’s very vocal, talks a lot! Listens very well, even off leash. Good with most little dogs but not all big dogs but she does have food aggression so feeding separate is key if other animals in the home. Contact us if you would like to meet this sweet girl! You will love her as much as we all do! BaileysWayRescue@gmail.comDecember 3, 2023, 2:59 am

Story
“Hi! I’m  Walter  but my foster mom calls me Wally. I come running when I hear “Wallyboy”. I was found as a stray until my foster mama saw me at the shelter and just had to get me out! The first thing you’ll notice about me are my bright blue eyes. Just a few seconds with me and you already will know that I love attention. I’ll just sit there and beg for head scratches by leaning against you. I’m told I have the softest chunky cheeks to pet! I love other dogs, I currently am staying with an “alpha” dog and I just play along with what he tells me! He’s the boss! I also live with a cat!! I’m super curious about him but he’s not the nicest so it makes me want to get to know him more, I’d probably do better with a cat that actually likes dogs. I also have a small human I love to cuddle with! I’m overall a big lovebug. I’m struggling with being house-trained, after all, I was a stray! I’m slowly getting the hang of it. I’m a great family dog and I just want humans to love on, that will love me back! Extra bonus if you have a fenced yard for me to run around in, I love rolling around in the grass!”   Walter is heartworm positive but we have him started on slow kill treatment so he will come through this and we will pay for treatment from now until he is negative and will retest him in 7 months for heartworm again and he should be negative! He is overall a healthy, happy pup! …If you would like to apply to adopt this sweet boy, please contact us at Bailey’s Way Rescue! BaileysWayRescue@gmail.com  December 3, 2023, 2:59 am

Story
Lacey needs a loving adopter to spend her final years with, she has been failed soooo many times in her life We thought this was going to be her forever home as he loves her so  She just wants to be by your side and be loved…there must be a senior with a fenced backyard to help her out!! We will provide anything needed! Please think of family & friends and who could help her! We will transport to an approved home! Lacey needs our help, please help us not let her down again…she just wants peace & love in her life. Lacey is a beautiful Am Staff terrier mix. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and house trained. She is a sweet girl! She is the most gentle girl you could want to meet but she doesn't like other dogs or cats! She would do best in a home as an only pet. She loves kids though! Her current foster has been the best thing to ever happen for Lacey! They call her “Lizzie” and “Little Pittie”! She has been eating amazing all natural food and is slimming down, so good for her. She has come out of her shell and loves all the walks she’s getting but especially all the love! I know this is the best time of her life and so happy for her, she is so deserving! She is such an easy dog, very gentle and a great companion. She is even great with the vet! She has some arthritis so is getting supplements. She is definitely feeling a lot better because her walks have picked up and she literally leapt off the bed onto the floor…she got so frisky yesterday and tried to do zoomies in the house so we think she’s actually starting to feel physically better! She moves like a different dog! Please contact us if you are interested in meeting Lacey to foster or adopt! Bailey's Way Rescue, Inc. BaileysWayRescue@gmail.com    December 3, 2023, 2:59 am

Story
Courtesy post… Port St Lucie “Sandor’s Bio: Hello, my name is Sandor, I am a neutered, 4 ½ yr. old hound mix, according to my DNA paper and I have Bundles of Energy. I weigh about 50 lbs. I was originally adopted with another friend from the Tampa Humane Society when I was a young puppy. My family has many children and I love them all but new people are scary until I get to know them. Mom say’s I get too excited and do not know my size so I’m not careful enough with the youngest baby.  I am very vocal and will make sure you know someone is around especially if the doorbell rings or someone knocks and I really hate when the baby cries so I join in a lot. I am crate trained and can walk on a leash but I still pull a lot. I am afraid of cats and will stay far from them. I’m nervous around new dog friends but I’m sure I can make new friends of given a chance. The commands I know are; SIT, Lay, Cage, bed and stay but sometimes “stay” is hard to do. I am fine on car rides and I’m house trained. I always run to the door if I need to go out. Only one TINY detail. I am scared of the vet and my vet say’s I must take medicine to calm down for the visit. I am afraid of baths a little too. Because of medical/mental issues in my home I must find a new forever home or a place I can be loved until I find a new home. Mom was told I couldn’t go back to the humane society to find a home because I’m nervous and I would need to be in a home to home placement. I tried to nip the vet at the humane society because they didn’t listen to my mom and give me meds before they tried to take my blood. I have never bitten anyone but need some help when I get nervous.  Thank you for reading about me, I  hope I can find an understanding and loving furever home or foster home soon. XOXOX Sandor” …He is a gorgeous, sweet boy that would be a great addition to any family!  Please contact us if you are interested in adopting or fostering!
