Story
Arwen “Ari” is a big sweetheart, she loves to be outside, run around and play frisbee, and she likes to always carry something with her in her mouth. I got her 5 years ago when she was 8 weeks old from a breeder in Missouri, she is a pure breed working line from and her parents were originally from Czech. Along with Arwen I have 2 other dogs, a 9 year old Border Collie and a 14 year old Husky. Arwen and the husky have never gotten along together. Her and the border Collie have a better relationship but being as the border collie has mobility issues and is much older than Arwen, she can’t match the energy levels and it can sometimes be concerning to let them free play. We would love for Arwen to go to a home where she can have more fun with younger dogs or as the only dog in a family that loves to stay active.

Story
Our son adopted Broly three years ago. He’s great with people—he loves to play, gets excited when he sees people, and always jumps up to greet them. He has never bitten anyone. He hasn’t been to the park in a while, so he hasn’t socialized with other dogs, and we’re not sure how he’ll behave, but every time he’s been there before, he’s never had any problems with other dogs. We’re putting him up for adoption because we can’t take care of him—he spends all day alone, and our son moved to Chicago.

Story
Chief is full of energy and wants to go outside. He is a runner so he needs to be in a backyard that is fenced or he has to be leashed. He has had formal training and knows several commands. We are both on very busy schedules and he sits in the house all day alone right now so we are trying to find him a home that has either other dogs/kids or somewhere he can play and run. Chief is a beautiful dog and he just needs a active owner or a owner that has time to spend with him or has dog and/or kids.PLEASE do not apply if you are not serious, I have had two people already string me along for weeks. WE have to find Chief a home ASAP so serious inquiries only.

Story
Pet Location: Brody is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet him, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426.My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I am from a hoarding situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with many people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn.- I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- Once I warm up, I`m described as sweet and easy-going!- Chews, Kong-like feeders, puzzle toys—help to keep me entertained!- I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info!- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside recommends I have a fenced-in yard since I`m still a little nervous of new environments.- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.Check out my super cool new video! Scroll through my photos to watch it. Woof to meet you! I’m Brody!I’m a 3-year-old black lab who’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary. I came from a hoarding situation, so new people and environments can make me a little nervous at first. Because of that, I’m looking for someone patient and understanding who will let me move at my own pace. I’m also enrolled in Confidence College, where I’m working on building my bravery and learning how to feel more comfortable each day.Once I warm up, though, I’m described as a sweet and easygoing guy who just wants to enjoy life with his people. One of the best ways to bond with me is through walks. I absolutely love getting outside, exploring new places, and taking in all the sights and smells; Adventures are kind of my thing!I also LOVE toys and chews… like

Story
Wayside Waifs Campus My Friends at Wayside say:- I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter! - During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs. - I`m smart/treat motivated.- Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all! My home needs are:- Wayside recommends no apartments or shared living spaces for me.- If you have kids in the home 9 years old and younger, I will need to meet them to make sure they enjoy my enthusiasm for life!- Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.- It`s recommended I go home to an active home.Hi there! I’m Jonathan, a one-year-young pittie mix with a whole lot of love and a serious amount of energy! If you’re looking for a couch potato... well, you might want to keep scrolling, because I am built for adventure! I need an active human who can keep up with my fun-loving lifestyle. I am an absolute, undisputed fetch champion, and my toys are my life. Seriously, toss a ball and watch me work my magic! Because I love to run, sprint, and celebrate my wins, I do need a home that isn`t an apartment. When I’m not dominating the fetch field, I am an absolute cuddle bug. I have this move where I love to just lean all my weight right into you for pets. It’s my way of saying, `Hey, you’re doing great, now please scratch my ears.` Oh, and did someone say treats? Because I will happily do just about anything for a tasty snack! I also think other dogs are pretty awesome! I really enjoy being around them, but since I have a lot of youthful energy, I do need to meet any potential doggy roommates before we head home together to make sure we`re a PAW-fect match. Are you ready to add a sweet, toy-obsessed, fetch-champion partner to your daily workouts and cuddle sessions? Come meet me and let`s see if we`re a team! Love, Jonathan
