Story
Meet Obi – Energetic, Loyal, and Ready for the Right Home Obi came into my life a few months ago malnourished and clearly worn down, yet still full of heart and eager for kindness. He’s 3 years old, bright, curious, and happiest when active and engaged. Knows “sit,” “stay,” “lay down,” and “kennel,” but can be strong-willed and thrives with an experienced owner who enjoys working with high-energy, independent-minded dogs. Best in a home without small kids until he learns more control. Gets along with some small dogs, unsure with cats, and loves to “herd” his people. Extremely food- and treat-motivated, adores rawhide-style chews, and will work for rewards. Sensitive to water—baths, rain, and sprays require patience and a gentle approach. A fenced yard where he can safely burn energy would be ideal. In the right home, Obi will give back every ounce of loyalty and energy you invest in him.

💙🐾 HELP US RE-HOME KENZO 🐾💙 Please share to help this sweet boy find the loving home he deserves! Hi, I’m Kenzo—a big, handsome, loving 4-year-old. I’ve been with my mom since I was 3 months old, but due to her health issues she can’t care for me the way she wishes. It breaks our hearts, but I’m ready for a new forever home. 💔 🐶 Super affectionate—I love kisses and laying my head on your lap. 🏡 Kennel + potty trained; but love to sleep on a blanket by your side. 🚶‍♂️ I enjoy walks, yard time, and being by your side. 👧👦 Great with older kids; because of my size! 🐕 Best as the only dog so I can give you all my attention. 🌳 A yard would make me so happy. I’m a loyal, gentle boy with a huge heart who just wants to be by your side and , ready to fill a home with love. If interested in meeting Kenzo, please message me. 💙🐾

Story
Hiro, is an 8 year old male australian shepherd. I rescued him 3 years ago in the mountains of Utah. Tracked down his owner and decided to keep him. He loves to play fetch non stop. He thinks he is a lap dog when being petted. He is good with kids. They like to carry the ball or toy around and have Hiro follow them. We are only rehoming him because he has become to dominate over our Black Lab. He will make a good one dog family or if you able to train him with other dogs.

Story
Jax is a kind, loving, and protective little dog with a big personality. He’s a small pup with lots of energy, and he absolutely adores attention. One of his favorite things to do is curl up and sleep under your bed — that’s his little safe spot! I got Jax about two hours away from KCMO when I was a senior in high school, so he’s very special to me. As he transitions to a new home, I’m really looking for someone who will love him, be patient with him, and understand that he may need a little time to adjust. Jax does have a protective side. He can be a bit vocal — barking or growling when new people come close to you — but he has never bitten anyone. He just takes his job of protecting his person a little seriously. With kindness, consistency, and a calm environment, he settles in well. I want him to go to someone who is gentle, patient, and good with dogs — someone who can give him the care, stability, and affection he deserves. If you think you could be the right match for Jax, or

Story
Please share! Moss is a sweet lab-mix boy with a ton of personality. He's pretty doggone cute, too. His coat looks brown in some light and black in others, and he has an adorable nubbin of a tail. And those airplane ears? Be still my heart. Moss is about eight years old and 65 pounds--perfection! This guy lights up when he plays with his dog friends, so much so that we think Moss would benefit from having another dog in his new home. His favorite toys have squeakers (yay!), and he'll play fetch with you and chase with his dog buddy. When it's cold outside, Moss likes to cuddle up and rest his head on your lap. During the summers, though, he can be found rolling in the grass and sunbathing. No matter the season, he appreciates butt scritches and belly rubs from his people. Moss is incredibly smart. He knows how to sit, stay, come, look at me, touch (your hand or a post-it placed somewhere), shake, lay down, and find it). Moss is very treat motivated, so teaching him new things will be a breeze. He likes to be challenged with puzzles where food is the reward. (We're with you on that one, buddy.) Young kids make Moss nervous, so he'd prefer an adult-only home if you don't mind. Please call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 about making Moss part of your family. He's in the Kansas City area, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection #adoptdontshop #adoption #adopt #adoptashelterpet #adoptme

Story
Jaz adores his humans! He's a Pointer-Pit-Lab mix of freckles and cow spots and is about 2.5 years old and 55 lbs. His entire body wiggles when he's happy, and he is *always* such a happy guy. Who couldn't use some of that in their life? Jaz is so polite that he automatically sits when meeting people. He loves to be your buddy as you work around the house, cuddle with you, and sleep with you if you'll allow it. He loves kids but is enthusiastic right now when playing, so might be better with older, or just sturdier, kids. Jaz deserves all of your attention, so we're looking for a home where he can be your only pet. Once you meet him, you'll know he's all you'll ever need. Text or call The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info. Jaz is in Beloit, KS, and transport is available if needed. 🐾🎷 #thepetconnection #HappyDog #DogLovers #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #DogAdoption #FrecklesAndCowSpots #JazAdoresHumans
