Story
Meet Blue! Blue is a handsome Shepherd mix. He’s a sweet boy who’s had a rough start but is now on the road to a brighter future. Blue gets along well with some dogs, so a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a good match with any potential canine siblings. He’s believed to do well with older children, though we’re unsure how he’ll respond to younger kids at this time. Blue is also okay with friendly cats. When he was found, it was clear he had been neglected for some time — he was underweight and infested with fleas and ticks. We suspect he may have been abandoned near a hospital and either lived outdoors or had been running loose for quite a while. Despite his past, Blue has shown resilience and is steadily gaining weight and confidence. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Blue is looking for a patient and loving home that can continue helping him heal and thrive. Could that be you?

Story
Casper is a neutered lab/husky mix around 2 years old. He is VERY smart, super loving, and great on a leash! We originally got Casper abt 6 months ago. He picked US. He instantly attached to our child and they were inseparable. We took him to a couple of adoption events, but he wouldn't leave our child's side. There were a couple of minor fights between him and our 5 year old male dog (pit bull/german shepherd mix). However, the first week of October Casper and the other male dog had a HUGE fight. Ever since then, Casper can't even look at our other dog without growling and wanting to attack (even through a glass door). We had a trainer come up and told us we can't fix the issue, and no amount of training will be able to get him past this. We really do not want to get rid of him, but are forced to. We are wanting to find a loving home for him at least a temporary foster home. He would be GREAT for a retiree who loves to go on walks. No other dogs or young children.

Story
I adopted Johanna from the KC Pet Project back in April. She is five years old, but otherwise I don't know much about her history. She was found as a stray. She is VERY smart, excited, and eager to please her owner. She needs problems to solve and lots of exercise. She loves cuddling and being in your space. She is not good with other dogs, so she needs to be in a home where it's just her. I do not know how she does with kids, but she really loves people and wants to play - walks, tug of war, tearing up a stuffed animal. She is house trained and picks up on commands quickly. She has a lot of energy. I would otherwise keep her, but have found I don't have the space or time in my day to day life to give her what she needs.

Story
I got Monkey when I was 19, she’s a good companion. Very energetic and really fun to run around with. Monkey is currently 5 years old and still super energetic. She loves to play fetch but doesn’t fully understand how it works. She loves to cuddle. One thing you should know is not to play with her tail. She was abused before I got her and she doesn’t like her tail touched. She doesn’t bite but just gives you a stare of “why?” She is afraid of fire because of this. Other than that she is a lovely energetic dog. She is house trained and does sleep in a kennel but loves to sleep in the same bed if she’s allowed.

Story
Daisy is a sweet, active, and affectionate 5yr old dog with a heart as big as her smile. She was rescued in Florida when she was about 2 1/2 and has been thriving ever since. This girl loves to play, go on walks, and then curl up for a good cuddle afterward, the perfect mix of energy and snuggles! Daisy gets along well with most dogs and cats, though she prefers slow introductions to make sure everyone gets along. She has not spent time around children, and because she’s a strong girl, she would do best in a home without small kids or elderly people. She is house-trained and knows her routines well, but she does experience some separation anxiety and may have accidents if left alone for too long. With patience, love, and structure, she will continue to blossom into an amazing companion.
