Sponsored Adoption FeeIntroducing Tyson, the brave and friendly American Bully who's curious about the world and ready for his second chance! This playful boy found himself lost and in a bit of a pickle, but thanks to the wonderful people at PAR, he's been given a new leash on life and is now looking for his forever home. We are doing some work with this handsome low rider as he seems to have some confidence issues! We think Tyson didn't have the greatest past, but we are working hard on changing negative experiences to all positive ones! Tyson can be a bit unsure around other dogs and new people at first, mostly men, but once he warms up, he's a total sweetheart and an absolute goofball! Tyson takes pride in keeping his space clean and enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like playing with his squeaky toys and going for leisurely walks. Tyson is a protective soul and would make a wonderful companion for a family with older teenage children, provided they can give him the time and patience he needs to feel comfortable. An adult family home would be a great option as well! Must love drool too as this boy can be quite the slobber face!Tyson is working on his social skills with other dogs, so introductions will need to be slow and careful as it appears he has not been socialized properly. He's hoping to find an experienced adopter who understands his unique needs and can help him continue to grow into the amazing companion we know he can be. NO cats please! If you're the patient and the understanding type, Tyson could be the perfect addition to your family! He's eager to find his people and show them just how loving and loyal he can be. Could you be the one to unlock Tyson's full potential? Tyson also will come with continued free training with a certified professional dog trainer.Tyson is believed to be an American Bully, 57 lbs., 2-3 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly prevention. If you would like to meet Tyson, please fill out our adoption application for preapproval and we will be happy to set up a meet and greet at your convenience!Thank you to a generous supporter for sponsoring Tyson's adoption fee!https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Meet Eve! A VERY nice girl who arrived to PAR on December 23rd after she found herself impounded at the county shelter from running the streets in Sanilac County. This young lady is full of life and there is never a dull moment with this girl! Eve loves to entertain herself playing with toys on her own and is quite independent. When she feels a bit stressed, she will calm herself down by suckling on a blanket (never chews it). Eve communicates well when it comes to her needs and she does best with a routine, like most dogs. Her favorite activities are playing with a flirt pole, fetch, and going for walks which Eve is an excellent loose leash walker! Just because Eve is known to be a higher energy breed, she has a very calm nature to her personality! Eve’s ideal family and home would be: Someone that likes to walk daily. Not gone long hours as Eve would like to be a big part of your day! Take her on car rides as Eve loves going on adventures. Someone who doesn’t mind dogs on furniture. Allow Eve to give smooches too! Story
This is truly a cool little dude! Cooper is 5 years old & would do best in a home with a dog his age or as a single dog for someone that is very active and has lots of time to take him for adventures. Good with small kids! Needs to have a fenced in yard for lots of off leash exercise and preferably a pool or pond as he loves the water. I have not had cooper very long and I was hoping he would fit in with my other 2 female cattle dog mixes, one of which is still a puppy. Cooper came from a single dog home and just seems very stressed out with the puppies antics and I don’t want it to become a negative experience for either of them. I can tell his goofy personality is in there but he leans toward the anxious side a bit (very out going in public settings and with new dogs) but I just don’t think their personalities are going to mesh well going forward despite best efforts. Cooper loves his frisbee and has pogo sticks for back legs. I just want to see this guy thrive in the right setting.

Story
Meet Ravioli! LOOKING FOR A FOSTER FOR THIS HANDSOME HUNK! If you're hungry for some fur baby love in your life, you just have to check out Ravioli! He's a two-year-old mixed breed boy who is 73 pounds and is eager to bring you laughter and love for many years to come! Some of you may remember our boy Ravioli from last year. While we had hoped he had found his happily ever after, it just wasn't meant to be. We are committed to finding this loving boy his true forever home! House-trained and crate-trained, Ravioli aims to please! He has lived with younger kids before and was fabulous with them! This goofy guy is always up for some playtime and hasn't come across a toy he doesn't like. If you're looking for a pup to put a smile on your face everyday, you've found your man! Ravioli has lived with other dogs prior and tends to prefer females. He has a rough and tumble play style and he lives for his zoomies. He will thrive with a family that can keep him exercised and engaged. A fenced-in yard for him to enjoy is a must for this playful pup. Great in the car, Ravioli is ready to join you on all of your adventures. He’s also good on his leash, and will benefit from continued training as he grows. Ravioli knows how to sit and lay down and takes his treats gently. He'll never pass up a tasty morsel and his foster family has no issue taking food or toys away. At the end of a fun-filled day, Ravioli enjoyed watching TV and would happily curl up with his people the couch for some snuggles. He always slept quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Ravioli would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the potential to live in a home with another female dog of a similar energy level or would excel as a single dog. A home without cats/small animals is preferred. If you think Ravioli is the pup for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our happy-go-lucky guy!
