Story
Meet Rip! Your Very Own Yellowstone Heartthrob! If you've been dreaming of a rugged, handsome, and loyal companion straight out of a TV show, look no further—I'm Rip, and I'm the total package! With my dashing good looks and an even bigger heart, I'm ready to ride off into the sunset with my forever family. I've got the chillest vibe—lounging in bed? Long car rides? Being the best cuddle buddy ever? Oh, and let's not forget my signature move: leaning into you for all the bum rubs. Seriously, I love attention! I also have been told I give the ‘best hugs ever’! My fur is so soft and shiny too!. Toys and bones? Well, I have been known to hoard them in my kennel but hey, is that such a bad thing? When I get bored at least I have a lot of items to keep me occupied! I'm great with medium-to-large size dogs, but tiny fluffballs (cats and small dogs) aren't really my thing. If you've got another dog, let's set up a meet-and-greet to see if we're a match as I would love a buddy to play and chill out with! Approximately 2 years old, up to date on vet care, and one of the best boys ever! Please give Rip a chance! So, what do you say? Let's make this forever thing official! Fill out a pre-approved application today and we will set up a meet and greet that is convenient for you! https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html PAR does have open hours to the public from 10am to 1pm on Saturday’s if you’d like to come meet the dogs!

Story
This is Zoey! This sweet girl is quickly winning over all of the volunteers hearts ? This is mom to the Flintstones litter that we had earlier in the year. She was with a homeless man that could not care for her anymore ? This girl has stories as you can tell when you look into her eyes. Zoey was a bit shy at first but after tossing a ball across the yard she sprang into action and was quickly playing a game of fetch! She even will drop the ball for you to keep throwing it. She has been non reactive to the dogs in the kennel and she did live with a canine buddy at her previous residence. Zoey listens very well, knows sit, shake, walks decent on leash, and keeps her kennel clean. Zoey rides very well in the car and is lower energy. Looking for a chill girl that will want to be your shadow? A friend for another middle aged dog? Let's hook up and see if this girl is a match!! Zoey is a German Shorthaired Pointer mix, 50 lbs, and approximately 4 years old. She has a receding gum line, missing teeth, and a underbite which adds to her cute looks! ? UTD on vet care On monthly prevention No cat history Has lived with a dog in the past Children 8+ $100 sponsored toward her adoption fee Adoption fee is $175 https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html to get your preapproved application in! You can come meet Zoey and her PAR friends on Saturday during open hours from 10am-1pm or let us know if you'd like to set up a meet and greet at your convenience.

Story
Meet Davie! Davie didn’t come from the best situation where he was properly socialized so we are working on building up his confidence and having him learn all about being a dog! Davie depends on other dogs to guide him the way as Davie has limited vision. He can see a little and will learn his surroundings very quickly, so a confident dog friendly dog is needed for Davie to succeed in life. Davie is looking for a patient owner who is willing to spend time with him and help him learn. He is very sweet once he learns his environment. He plays with other dogs very well! Davie came into PAR terrified of life, but he is making big baby steps and is getting more confident every day! Davie is a 9 month old Aussie/Hound/Boxer mix that is 60 lbs., neutered, and up to date on vet care. Davie’s adoption comes with 2 sponsored training sessions with a certified dog trainer within a 25 mile radius of Lapeer. To meet this handsome boy, please fill out our application for preapproval at the following link and then we can set up a meet and greet at your convenience. https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html PAR does have open hours to the public from 10am to 1pm on Saturday’s if you’d like to come meet the dogs.

Story
🎾 Hi, I'm Dom! 🐾 I'm a 9-month-old Aussie/Hound mix with a heart as big as my ears and legs made for adventure! I weigh in around 50 pounds, and let's just say I'm a total catch… especially if you're throwing a ball! 🐶💨 I love car rides, strut like a pro on a leash, and I've got some solid manners under my belt—I know sit, down, wait, and even touch! (Yep, I'm kind of a smarty pants.) I'm super friendly with other dogs and came in with my brother Davie, who's sight-impaired. We've been each other's buddies while waiting on our forever families!💙 My dream home? One with a physical fenced yard—because let's be honest, I've got a bit of a curious streak and sometimes like to go visit the neighbors 😅 A family with kids 8+, no cats (I haven't been tested with them), and a dog sibling—as I LOVE to play with other dogs! Think we'd be a match? Let's play fetch and find out! 🐕💫 Fill out an application at parpets.org to get preapproved and we will set up a meet and greet that is convenient for you! https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Meet Pooh! Pooh is a little shy who came to us from a hoarding situation, so he is looking for someone who will be patient with him. We are still learning about Pooh but in the short time he has been at Paradise he is growing more confident with socializing with the volunteers. Pooh likes to be held and sit on your lap. He is learning to walk on a leash and enjoys being outside getting fresh air. Pooh does stay close to you, so he may end up being your shadow. Pooh is 6 years old, crate trained, keeps his kennel clean, food motivated, and up to date on vet care including recent neuter surgery. Pooh weighs approximately 9 lbs. and would do best in a home with small dogs and children over 12 years old. Pooh did arrive with one of his housemates, Teddy, but they are not a bonded pair. Story
The name says it all….Walter. This 98 lb. boy has stolen the hearts of all of the volunteers! We honestly don’t know what PAR will be like without this big lug, but he must get a home eventually! Walter goes to all our events and greets everyone kindly and politely. A dog that just loves everyone!. Walter enjoys long walks, and he will lay down and tell you when he needs a break, so be prepared to just plant your feet for a while until he is ready to move again lol. That is unless you bring a stuffie toy with you! Stuffies are Walters favorite to play with, carry around, and just get excited about! This 6-7 year old gentle giant loves lounging on a couch or dog bed (with a stuffie), enjoys belly and bum rubs, and is excellent on car rides. He is a talker and will tell you when he wants some attention. Walter is house and crate trained, dog friendly with most dogs, and would do best with children over 8 years old. To meet this volunteer favorite, please submit your application today so we can set up a meet and greet at your convenience! https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html
