Story
Meet Indi Some dogs make you work to earn their trust. Indi isn't one of them. Despite being rescued off the streets, this 50 lb pittie mix walked into rescue with his heart wide open — and it hasn't closed since. Indi greets every single person like they're the best part of his day. No hesitation, no reservations, just pure, easy affection. He's playful and cuddly in equal measure, happy to share his toys without a shred of possessiveness, and he genuinely lights up around other dogs — he's done great on every dog meet so far and clearly loves having buddies to romp with. Couch snuggles, backyard playtime, golf cart cruises — Indi doesn't need anything fancy, he just wants to be wherever you are. He's a smart, eager-to-please guy who's already picking up "sit," doing well with leash walking, and nailing his potty breaks on lead. He genuinely wants to get it right, he just needs a patient person willing to keep showing him the ropes — and honestly, that eagerness makes him a joy to train. A couple of honest notes: Indi once escaped his yard, though it was less "master escape artist" and more "stood on the other side looking confused about how he got there" — so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time will help keep his adventures limited to backyard zoomies. He's also blind in one eye from an old injury, but you'd genuinely never know it. It hasn't dimmed his enthusiasm for life even a little. Indi isn't just looking for a home — he's ready to pour everything he has into one. If you want a dog who will meet you at the door with his whole heart every single day, he's your guy. Indi is 1.5 years old, neutered, utd on vaccines, microchipped, fecal tested. Dog and kid friendly. Story
Midge's story didn't start with love. She spent her days chained outside in Detroit, tangled between overgrown trees with no shade from the summer sun, no warmth in the winter, and no comfort to call her own. It wasn't until our friends, The Karens, came across her photo on Facebook and reached out with pictures and information about her past that we truly understood just how much this little girl had endured. We don't know exactly how Midge went from that chain to a shelter. But what we do know is this: Midge is safe now. And she will never spend another day living the life she left behind. Since coming into rescue, Midge has tackled heartworm treatment like an absolute champ. Through every appointment, every medication, and every hurdle, she has remained the same happy, wiggly girl with a tail that never seems to stop moving. At just 41 pounds, Midge is the perfect pocket-sized pittie. She's around 2–3 years old and learning more every day what it means to be loved, spoiled, and part of a family. Now, before we tell you she's perfect... we should probably tell you the truth. Midge is wonderfully imperfect. Sure, she loves a good couch nap and can potato with the best of them, but don't let that fool you. When the zoomies hit, they HIT. She can turn your living room into her personal racetrack in record time. And while she can be quiet and content, she can also be quite vocal when she wants something, when you leave her behind, or when she notices something happening outside. Midge isn't afraid to share her opinions. She's also discovered that destroying stuffed toys in pursuit of the squeaker is one of life's greatest joys, and she's gotten exceptionally good at it. Midge currently lives with other dogs and absolutely enjoys having friends around. In fact, as I'm writing this, she's trying her hardest to convince Denver to play. Unfortunately, Denver has other plans, so she's already moved on to her next activity. Because of her playful side, we think Midge would thrive with another playful dog, kids to run around with, or active adults who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures. But just as important as playtime is downtime. Storms can make her nervous, and after everything she's been through, Midge appreciates having a safe place she can retreat to when she needs a break from the world. She knows "sit," is eager to please, fully potty trained, crate trained, and has made incredible progress in foster care. What she needs now isn't someone looking for a perfect dog. She needs someone willing to love a real dog. A dog who has survived hard things. A dog who still has a few quirks. A dog who deserves a family committed to helping her continue to grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. ✨ 2–3 years old ✨ 41 pounds of pure sweetness ✨ Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped ✨ Dog, cat, and kid friendly ✨ Potty trained and crate trained ✨ Equal parts cuddle bug and zoomie queen If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a perfect pout, a goofy personality, and a heart as big as they come, Midge is waiting to meet you. Apply today. ❤️ https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Teddy Fetch fanatic · Professional snuggler · Champion napper Have you ever met a dog who somehow figured out the secret to life? That's Teddy. He wakes up, plays hard, naps like it's an Olympic sport, and does it all over again — with the goofiest little tail wag you've ever seen. Teddy is a young pup with a whole lot of heart. He's the kind of guy who will zoom around the yard chasing a ball, then come plant himself right on your lap the second you sit down. He loves fetch — like, genuinely loves it — and he's got this adorable habit of pouncing on his toys like they owe him money. When he's really happy and cozy next to you, he'll let out a little satisfied hum. And yes, he snores. It's very cute. We're sorry in advance. Teddy has done a lot of growing up lately. He's learned to hang out in his crate without a fuss, chill out when his people leave the house, and he's almost fully potty trained (we're at 90% — the finish line is in sight!). He knows "sit," "paw," and "crate," and he's a champ in the car — just finds a seat and settles right in for the ride. He's friendly with strangers, great with other dogs (especially bigger pups who can match his energy), and more than happy to make new best friends. He has a fur sister at his foster home who basically doubles as his personal trainer, so he'd absolutely love a home with another playful pet or an active family who's ready to wear him out. Teddy is best suited for a home with older kids and people who are ready for a little puppy chaos — but we promise the chaos is the really fun kind. He's not a project; he's already come so far. He just needs someone to keep cheering him on. If you've been waiting for a dog who's equal parts adventurer, comedian, and cuddle bug — Teddy's been waiting for you too. Crate trained Great on leash Dog friendly Car calm Older kids best Potty training in progress Cats are fun to chase so maybe no kitties. Story
Meet Delphine! Delphine is a mature lady, 10 years old, who likes the finer things in life. She loves a leisurely stroll, likes to sleep right next to you (fluffy blankets and bedding only, please) and really enjoys the company of dogs. Delphine doesnt need much, just a human to love her, a couple walks per day and maybe a yard to do the occasional zoomie. Delphine does well with kiddos, but no cats please. She is working on potty training (she came from a shelter so it takes a a while for dogs to learn the correct place to potty), great at walking on leash and is very mild mannered. We would love to find her a retirement home where she can enjoy her life surrounded by her fave people and maybe a dog or two. Delphine will be getting spayed on 6/20 and she is utd on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and fecal tested. https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Mermaid Mermaid is a dog, technically. Her DNA says so, the paperwork confirms it, and yet — nobody seems to have told her that she is not a cat. She sleeps in bed (obviously), naps with the unhurried confidence of a cat who has decided the afternoon belongs to her, and recently settled herself into an open crate completely voluntarily just to chew on a toy. No drama. No negotiation. No treats required. Just vibes. When you leave, Mermaid does not spiral. She does not howl at the door or eat your couch in protest. She simply... naps. Probably on your pillow. Because she's an independent woman who will find you when she wants love, and not a moment before. Her favorite hobby is fetch — played with the focus of an athlete and the joy of someone who has never once taken a good day for granted. She also enjoys walks, snacks, snuggling, and napping on her back with all four paws in the air like she's auditioning for a Renaissance ceiling painting. Mermaid has a lopsided face that makes her look perpetually expressive — somewhere between "did you just say 'walk'?" and "I have thoughts about this." It is, without question, her best feature. She's also covered in beauty marks, each one a little reminder that she's a survivor with a story, and she's writing a much better chapter now. She'll help clean her foster sister's ears. She's open to cats, we often find her napping in the cat tree! She rides in the car like a seasoned traveler. She asks for nothing and gives everything. Mermaid is looking for a recliner of her own and a person worthy of her occasional, deeply intentional affection. Are you the one? she is 4 years old, dog and cat friendly, we dont anticipate any issues with kiddos, she is super gentle. Walks nicely and is, quite frankly, an amazing dog. Spayed, UTD on vaccines and fecal tested. Apply here: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Winston!!! This sweet boy is a self-proclaimed "Big Land Seal" whose absolute favorite thing in the world is to snuggle. While he is a champion lounger, he also has an active side. He loves daily fetch and walks making him an excellent partner for outdoor hikes. Winston is also fully potty-trained and listens beautifully to commands like Sit, Wait, Lay Down, Drop It, and Potty. He has been around a 3-year-old and a 8-year-old and did great with both. He also has done great around other dogs. (His compatibility with cats is unknown) Winston is the perfect passenger in the car, riding along like the gentleman he is. Winston's only real hurdle is a deep fear of thunderstorms and fireworks, which triggers some severe separation anxiety. Because he detests crates and becomes very anxious inside them, he must be left loose. While he is independent during good weather, storms change everything—he becomes dependent and truly needs a human around to comfort him. Because of this, Winston needs a home where someone is around more often than not. He is looking for a family who can offer him the security of a consistent routine, stern but loving guidance when he plays with his toys, and a warm spot on the couch to cuddle through the storms. *4.5 years old *75 lbs. of HUNK *Neutered and UTD on vaccines *Potty Trained *Dog and Kid Friendly APPLY TODAY: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
