Story
Meet Nala Nala is a big, beautiful, opinionated queen who arrived a little rough around the edges — and a little round everywhere else — and is blossoming into the happiest, bounciest version of herself. This girl has been through it. But you'd barely know it now, because something wonderful is happening: Nala is coming out of her shell. She bounces. She hops. She grabs a toy the moment you walk through the door and presents it to you like a hostess gift. Welcome. I got you something. Please pet me. At home, Nala is the picture of calm dignity — sprawled across whatever cushy surface she has claimed as her own, ignoring the cats with practiced elegance, occasionally visiting her crate just to sit and contemplate life. She doesn't need to be told where to go. She simply decides, and she is usually correct. She loves walks, and she's finding her stride — literally. She's picking up the pace, going longer distances, and we suspect that given a little time and a few pounds shed, this girl is going to surprise everyone. She's already surprising us. Just look at those ears. The sprawl. The hop. The way she plants a paw on your leg and looks at you like excuse me, I believe you forgot something. She is curious with strangers, thorough with new dog introductions (she will be doing the sniffing, thank you), and unbothered by cats, loud noises, and the general chaos of daily life. She is calm until she isn't, and when she isn't, it is delightful. Nala is looking for a soft place to land, a family to go on walks with, and someone who will lovingly help her work toward her ideal figure — while appreciating every glorious pound of her in the meantime. She's ready for her next chapter. Nala is 84lbs, 5 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, fecal tested and hw negative. Loves dogs, cats and kiddos! Shes the perfect addition to any family! peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Indi 🤍 This 50 lb pittie mix has quite the story — rescued from the streets and already proving he’s nothing but love. Indi is the definition of a happy, resilient boy who’s ready to leave his past behind and soak up everything a real home has to offer. Indi is suuuuper friendly with people and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. He’s playful, cuddly, and always down to share his toys (no guarding here!). He’s done great with dog meets so far and seems to enjoy having buddies around. Whether it’s playtime, couch snuggles, or cruising on a golf cart, Indi is just happy to be included. He’s doing well with potty breaks on a lead and is learning the ropes of leash walking and basic commands like “sit.” He’s a smart boy and eager to please — he just needs someone willing to keep guiding him. Indi may have a bit of a mischievous streak (one time he jumped the fence.. but not in a houdini way just in a stood at the other side of it looking confused and wondering how to get back), so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time will be important for him. He also has an old eye injury that left him unable to see out of one eye, but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Indi lives life full speed ahead with nothing but joy. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, resilient companion who will love you with his whole heart, Indi is your guy 🧡 Apply here! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Midge's story didn't start with love. She spent her days chained outside in Detroit, tangled between overgrown trees with no shade from the summer sun, no warmth in the winter, and no comfort to call her own. It wasn't until our friends, The Karens, came across her photo on Facebook and reached out with pictures and information about her past that we truly understood just how much this little girl had endured. We don't know exactly how Midge went from that chain to a shelter. But what we do know is this: Midge is safe now. And she will never spend another day living the life she left behind. Since coming into rescue, Midge has tackled heartworm treatment like an absolute champ. Through every appointment, every medication, and every hurdle, she has remained the same happy, wiggly girl with a tail that never seems to stop moving. At just 41 pounds, Midge is the perfect pocket-sized pittie. She's around 2–3 years old and learning more every day what it means to be loved, spoiled, and part of a family. Now, before we tell you she's perfect... we should probably tell you the truth. Midge is wonderfully imperfect. Sure, she loves a good couch nap and can potato with the best of them, but don't let that fool you. When the zoomies hit, they HIT. She can turn your living room into her personal racetrack in record time. And while she can be quiet and content, she can also be quite vocal when she wants something, when you leave her behind, or when she notices something happening outside. Midge isn't afraid to share her opinions. She's also discovered that destroying stuffed toys in pursuit of the squeaker is one of life's greatest joys, and she's gotten exceptionally good at it. Midge currently lives with other dogs and absolutely enjoys having friends around. In fact, as I'm writing this, she's trying her hardest to convince Denver to play. Unfortunately, Denver has other plans, so she's already moved on to her next activity. Because of her playful side, we think Midge would thrive with another playful dog, kids to run around with, or active adults who enjoy including their dog in everyday adventures. But just as important as playtime is downtime. Storms can make her nervous, and after everything she's been through, Midge appreciates having a safe place she can retreat to when she needs a break from the world. She knows "sit," is eager to please, fully potty trained, crate trained, and has made incredible progress in foster care. What she needs now isn't someone looking for a perfect dog. She needs someone willing to love a real dog. A dog who has survived hard things. A dog who still has a few quirks. A dog who deserves a family committed to helping her continue to grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. ✨ 2–3 years old ✨ 41 pounds of pure sweetness ✨ Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped ✨ Dog, cat, and kid friendly ✨ Potty trained and crate trained ✨ Equal parts cuddle bug and zoomie queen If you're looking for a loyal sidekick with a perfect pout, a goofy personality, and a heart as big as they come, Midge is waiting to meet you. Apply today. ❤️ https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Teddy Fetch fanatic · Professional snuggler · Champion napper Have you ever met a dog who somehow figured out the secret to life? That's Teddy. He wakes up, plays hard, naps like it's an Olympic sport, and does it all over again — with the goofiest little tail wag you've ever seen. Teddy is a young pup with a whole lot of heart. He's the kind of guy who will zoom around the yard chasing a ball, then come plant himself right on your lap the second you sit down. He loves fetch — like, genuinely loves it — and he's got this adorable habit of pouncing on his toys like they owe him money. When he's really happy and cozy next to you, he'll let out a little satisfied hum. And yes, he snores. It's very cute. We're sorry in advance. Teddy has done a lot of growing up lately. He's learned to hang out in his crate without a fuss, chill out when his people leave the house, and he's almost fully potty trained (we're at 90% — the finish line is in sight!). He knows "sit," "paw," and "crate," and he's a champ in the car — just finds a seat and settles right in for the ride. He's friendly with strangers, great with other dogs (especially bigger pups who can match his energy), and more than happy to make new best friends. He has a fur sister at his foster home who basically doubles as his personal trainer, so he'd absolutely love a home with another playful pet or an active family who's ready to wear him out. Teddy is best suited for a home with older kids and people who are ready for a little puppy chaos — but we promise the chaos is the really fun kind. He's not a project; he's already come so far. He just needs someone to keep cheering him on. If you've been waiting for a dog who's equal parts adventurer, comedian, and cuddle bug — Teddy's been waiting for you too. Crate trained Great on leash Dog friendly Car calm Older kids best Potty training in progress Cats are fun to chase so maybe no kitties. Apply here: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application * DOB 2/27/2026 * Neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped * Dog friendly * Expected to be kid friendly * Crate trained * Doing great with potty training * Super sweet and cuddly Apply here to meet me: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Ripley: The Tiny, Fearless Chaos Coordinator If you've ever wondered what would happen if a sheepdog, a comedian, and a squeaky chicken toy were combined into one adorable package, allow us to introduce you to Ripley. Ripley is 100% blind, 100% deaf, and approximately 1,000% convinced she can do anything. And to be honest? She's usually right. Ripley navigates her world entirely through her nose, her touch cues, and sheer determination. She knows commands like sit, touch, paw, and wait through hand-on touch signals, proving every day that being blind and deaf doesn't stop her from learning, loving, and living life to the fullest. Ripley is an active girl who loves running, exploring new scents, and showing off her surprisingly strong herding instincts. She'd probably volunteer to organize your household if she could. She's also a professional shoe thief—not because she destroys them, but because footwear belongs in her personal collection. When playtime is over, Ripley transforms into a world-class cuddle bug. She loves being close to her people and happily follows them from room to room, making sure no snack is eaten without proper supervision. She is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash and is treat motivated. Because Ripley can't see or hear, regular potty breaks help her stay successful with house training. Ripley absolutely adores other dogs, loves kids, and has never met a stranger she didn't want to be friends with. Cats, however, are a different story. She is completely obsessed with them and would happily spend her entire day chasing and "managing" them, so a cat-free home is a must. Small animals are also not a good fit due to her strong herding instincts. Ripley *must* go to a home with another confident dog, she is just too scared without one. One of Ripley's greatest talents? Being completely unbothered by life. Thunderstorms? Fireworks? Loud noises? She has no idea they're happening. The only thing that startles her is being bumped unexpectedly while she's sound asleep. A few things about Ripley: -Ripley is very sensitive to sunlight and needs protective goggles when outdoors. Being mostly albino, UV exposure can irritate her eyes quickly. -Stairs are still a work in progress, but she's learning. -She can get carsick, so road trips may require a little planning. -She relies heavily on her people for guidance and reassurance, making her a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted sidekick. Perhaps the best thing about Ripley? Her bark sounds exactly like one of those squeaky rubber chicken toys. We're not kidding. Ripley doesn't need a perfect home. She just needs a family willing to see past her vision and hearing loss, and recognize the incredible, funny, loving, adventurous dog underneath. She may not be able to see you, and she may not be able to hear you, but she will absolutely love you with her whole heart. Ready to be Ripley's eyes, ears, and favorite human? Apply to meet this sweet baby! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Dina & Dante: A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home Dina and Dante are an adorable bonded pair of Chihuahuas searching for a patient, loving family willing to give them the time they need to blossom. While they can be shy when meeting new people, their sweet personalities shine through once they feel safe and secure. Dina is a 2-year-old bundle of personality. Once she’s comfortable, she’s playful, energetic, and always ready for fun. She loves going on walks where she can stop to sniff and explore the world at her own pace. At home, you’ll often find her zooming around, playfully tackling Dante during their wrestling matches, or stretched out in a sunny spot for a cozy nap. Dina is also a bit of a chatterbox and will occasionally serenade you with an adorable little howl. Dante is a 3-year-old sweetheart with a gentle soul. He can be very shy at first, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover just how affectionate he is. Dante’s favorite way to show his love is by rolling over to offer his belly and asking for face rubs. He absolutely melts when you rub his ears and cheeks. While Dina may enthusiastically pounce on him during playtime, Dante’s response is usually to roll onto his back and happily let her win. His energy level is a little more relaxed than his best friend’s—he’s happiest napping in a sunny spot, cuddling in your lap, or quietly people-watching from a safe distance. One of his favorite pastimes is playing with his rope toy while lying on his back, making for an irresistibly adorable sight. Together, Dina and Dante balance each other perfectly. Dina brings confidence and playful energy, while Dante offers a calm, gentle presence. Their bond is undeniable, and they look to one another for comfort, security, and companionship. They would thrive in a calm home with adopters who understand that trust takes time. With patience, kindness, and plenty of love, you’ll watch these two transform into loyal, affectionate companions who will reward you with endless smiles, cuddles, and heartwarming moments. If you’re ready to open your heart to two deserving little dogs, Dina and Dante are ready to spend the rest of their lives showing you just how special a second chance can be. UTD on vaccines Fixed (neutered and spayed) Microchipped May be good with older children Apply here: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
