Story
Meet Bonded Pair Jackie & Shirley! ! We’re the Dynamic Duo of Jackie Lovebird and Shirley Sweetspire! But please, just call us, Jackie and Shirley! We are the newest version of Lucy and Ethel, Laverne and Shirley, Thelma and Louise, Serena and Venus Williams! We are beautiful bulldog mix BABES! And just like the famous duos we mentioned above, we share everything! You can put two food bowls out if you like but we will share one and then move on to bowl #2! Together. Two beds? Ok… but look for us in one, sharing cuddle time, grooming time, naps, dreaming and sweet little snores. We share our toys, our treats, our training time, our walks and the spotlight! And yes, we share the same recent spay surgery date! Not the spa day we had envisioned. We are sweet as pie, gentle, funny and smart. We are learning new things everyday with our foster family. Especially trust! Never knew that a leash meant a nice walk, that pets and scratches under our chins from the humans was a great thing or even what grass felt like under our feet. We LOVE the outdoors! Our foster dog brother Giovanni has taught us great things too. Like how to get treats if we sit, stay down and come when called. We really like him! We have a foster cat sister (she thinks she’s a dog) and we don’t mind her either although we haven’t interacted too closely with her yet. We don’t complain, snap, resource guard, get anxious or have separation anxiety when our foster family has to step out. We are really pretty calm and as long as we have each other LIFE is GOOD!! We are each other’s bestie! Our bond is STRONG but we have room in our hearts for LOTS and LOTS more love! PLEASE consider opening YOUR hearts for “double the snuggles”… You won’t be disappointed. Jackie - 3 years old & 30 lbs. Shirley - 3 years old & 28 lbs. We are both spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and fecal tested. Adoption Fee: $400. ($200 per dog) APPLY TODAY: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Pinocchio, also known as “Pino”, is estimated to be 9-10 years old and weighs 11 lbs. He is neutered, just had a dental cleaning, is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Now we just need to find him his forever family! Pino came into our care when his current family could no longer care for him due to a medical diagnosis. We promised his previous family we would make sure to get him up to date with routine medical care and find him a loving home to live his years out with. We believe Pino is a maltipoo based on a visual guess. (Unfortunately we do not having the funding to DNA test our animals) Pino does have an old back injury that gives him a slower gait, but don’t let that fool you—he still enjoys his walks and exploring the world at his own pace. He bonds very quickly and loves to follow you around from room to room, always ready to snuggle up and keep you company. Despite Pino’s world flipping upside down recently, he is such a sweet and loving pup that will make someone very happy. Pino is a loyal companion who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included. So if you’re looking for a devoted little shadow with a big heart, Pino may be your perfect match. *9-10 years young *11 lbs. of cuteness *UTD on vaccines *Neutered *Working on improving potty training after bladder stone removal surgery *Gets along well with other dogs his size *Loves having other dogs in the house to bond with, but not necessary. *Loves sleeping in bed with his people. Is NOT a fan of being crated *Will require prescription food to avoid future calcium bladder stones. Apply HERE: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
She was chained outside in Detroit — tangled between overgrown trees, no shade, no warmth, no straw. That was Midge's life before rescue. But it wasn't until our friends The Karens saw her photo on Facebook and reached out with their own pictures and proof of her past that we truly understood everything this little girl had survived. We don't know how she went from that chain to a shelter, but what we do know is this: Midge is safe now, and she will never have to live that life again. Even after rescue, the road hasn't been easy. Midge has gone through heartworm treatment while under our care, and yet — through all of it — she is wiggly, happy, and full of heart. Midge is pint-sized (just 41 lbs.) and is discovering what it means to be truly loved, and she is blossoming more every single day. At 2–3 years old, she's past the puppy chaos but still young enough for years of adventures ahead. A low-key cuddle enthusiast, Midge would rather lounge on the couch with you than run a marathon. She's thriving in her foster home with canine siblings, has mastered "sit," and is fully potty trained and crate trained. Midge is dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and the perfect little house hippo — quiet, cuddly, and content to spend the whole day by your side. She is a perfect little lady, with a perfect little pout. Please apply to give Midge the forever home she has always deserved. A few things to know about Midge: 2–3 years old, 41 lbs. of pure sweetness Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped Completed her heartworm treatment Dog friendly (cat compatibility unknown), kid friendly Low energy, high cuddles Knows "sit" and eager to please Apply here https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet our sweet tripod, Reggie! When Reggie was a puppy, he was hit by a car. Instead of getting help, he was thrown in a cage and left there — leg shattered, no pain relief, no comfort. Just suffering. By the time someone brought him to a vet, it was too late to save the leg. It had to be removed. But Reggie didn't lose his spirit. He healed. He learned to walk, run, and love again — on three legs. And eventually, he found his person. The one who showed him what home was supposed to feel like. For years, Reggie had exactly that. A home. A person. Safety. Then his dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The illness was fast and devastating. And just like that, everything Reggie knew was gone. Reggie doesn't need to be managed. He needs to be loved. This is how good dogs get lost in the shuffle. Not because they've done anything wrong. Not because they have nothing left to give. But because life gets too heavy for the people around them. Here's who Reggie is: *8 years old *55 lbs. *Neutered and UTD on vaccines *Potty Trained *Tripod — three legs but gets around just fine * He would thrive in a single person or low traffic household *He seems to especially love women *Sweet, affectionate, and gentle once he trusts you *He is GREAT with other dogs, very polite *Great on walks *Extremely food motivated — easy to bond with and train *LOVES pup cups and car rides Apply HERE to be his HERO: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

Story
Meet Indi 🤍 This 50 lb pittie mix has quite the story — rescued from the streets and already proving he’s nothing but love. Indi is the definition of a happy, resilient boy who’s ready to leave his past behind and soak up everything a real home has to offer. Indi is suuuuper friendly with people and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. He’s playful, cuddly, and always down to share his toys (no guarding here!). He’s done great with dog meets so far and seems to enjoy having buddies around. Whether it’s playtime, couch snuggles, or cruising on a golf cart, Indi is just happy to be included. He’s doing well with potty breaks on a lead and is learning the ropes of leash walking and basic commands like “sit.” He’s a smart boy and eager to please — he just needs someone willing to keep guiding him. Indi may have a bit of a mischievous streak (one time he jumped the fence.. but not in a houdini way just in a stood at the other side of it looking confused and wondering how to get back), so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time will be important for him. He also has an old eye injury that left him unable to see out of one eye, but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Indi lives life full speed ahead with nothing but joy. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, resilient companion who will love you with his whole heart, Indi is your guy 🧡 Apply here! https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
