Story
Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Sasha is fostering in Northern California (Napa area).July 13, 2024, 3:24 pm

Story
Daisy is an amazing 4 1/2 year old female shar pei that would fit into almost any home.    She is spayed, has had obedience training, and is full of fun and energy. Daisy loves the other foster dogs in her home (especially the males).    And she is all about the kisses with her foster parents.    Daisy met some cats when she was training and totally ignored them.  She knows commands such as sit, stay, place (to go to her mat or raised bed), come (sometimes she has selective hearing on this one) and others.   She is house-trained, crate-trained and is familiar with an electronic training collar and loves to please. Daisy would love a yard to run around in, always appreciates a good bone, loves toys and even goes to boarding on occasion when her foster parents do a weekend getaway.  The boarding place gives her very good reviews!     She would do  best in a home without small kids because she is a bit afraid of them and will bark and be nervous around them. Daisy is fostering in Oregon City, OR and weighs about 45 pounds.July 13, 2024, 3:24 pm

Story
Stubs is a fun-loving, happy, active, neutered male shar-pei. He has been neutered, has had entropion eyelid surgery and is looking for an active owner or family to go on adventures with! But don't worry, Stubs can amuse himself for hours with toys! He would love to play soccer or fetch, and would be a great running or hiking companion. As a bonus, he tested well with other dogs (or course wanting to play)! He was overlooked at a northern California shelter for too long and is now with Pei People! Stubs is about 57 pounds and up for any adventure. He would do best in a home with a yard or someone that exercises him regularly. Note that some of his photos show a long tail. His tail was amputated at the shelter after suffering from happy tail (he was so happy and wagging it would not heal from a wound). His tail is now a few inches long (think boxer length). Hence his name, Stubs! Stubs is fostering in the Portland, OR area.July 13, 2024, 3:24 pm

Story
Against all odds Callie with the sweet heart! Beautiful 4-year-old brindle female American Pit Bull Terrier, Callie was found abandoned and lost wandering down a road in Washington. Adopted from a shelter and returned because the family could not afford to keep her, Callie has been in board and train ever since funded by good Samaritans. Although shy and reserved until she knows you, once she trusts you, she trusts you completely. Would do best in an experienced home, no cats, may be compatible with some dogs. Callie learns quickly and is doing well in boarding. 501(c)(3) Non-profit rescue seeking foster or foster to adopt who will continue Callie’s lessons as she learns to become confident and unafraid again. Huck Finn! Joyful and happy ten month old 64 pound black and white male neutered male Saint Bernard/ American Pit Bull mix, current on inoculations, Huck loves everybody he meets; even going to the veterinary hospital is  an adventure. Needs a home with a large yard where he can run around and experienced dog owners, best with big dogs and children over 10 just because of his own size. Has not lived with cats so best in a home without cats. In board and train, training continues after adoption.
