Story
HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old pit/lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. I'm super cute with my red & white coloring and my speckled ears! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate, so couples may not be the best for me because I don't want to share the person I bond with and love. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I'm still quite agile and have been known to jump over a fence in my younger days. I'm not all that trustworthy around other dogs, especially male dogs, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the home. I'm still in good health and I'm basically looking for my forever companion to go for walks or hikes or simply watch TV and snuggle. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email me for an application

Story
Callie, or as she is known in her foster home CallieMagoo, is a fun loving three year old puppy at heart. Callie likes leisurely walks where she can sniff and roll in the grass. She enjoys brain games and working for her food. What makes her happiest and calm is being with her human. She want to be working for her human, to be active, She is not a couch potato but can cuddle at times. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She loves people but she is high energy. Callie has had intense basic training, and she just finished the secondary training and she continues to improve. She is a very smart girl and she wants to please you. She works with a trainer that will also help her transition to her new home so she can continue being the best girl for you.. A home in which a continuing education is provided is on her requirement list. CallieMagoo, powered by a squirrel sighting, can jump  four feet in the air. A fully fenced yard with tall fencing is also on her list. Probably a single dog home too as she will share the attention but prefers to be the only one. She is ok with other big dogs but has a bit of a prey drive towards cats and possibly small dogs (cat size) depending on the dog. She is potty trained, crate trained, spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccines and flea treatment. Do you have the time to give Callie the best life ever? She will reward you with kisses. She is very loyal. She knows: Kennel, Sit, Leave it, Heal, Place, free and down. Loves to play fetch tho doesn`t always give back the item so have more then one ready. She must have a securely fenced yard so NO Apartments! To meet her fill out the Dog Adoption Application on OFOSA.ORG and her foster mom will be in touch with you. Her adoption fee is $340.

Story
HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and timid. While there, I had kennel mates, and I'm currently in a foster home with other dogs. I'm still shy, but am a work in progress. I'm starting to come out of my shell, and I can be petted now. I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Oregon. I weigh only about 40 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET ROMEO, a handsome, loyal, protective Black Mouth Cur. Romeo is a gorgeous 6-1/2-year-old male, and he weighs about 74 lbs. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike and go on exciting journeys! Romeo is a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern or with an experienced adopter. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from exercise, and people who understand his breed. He's currently in California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET BEAUTIFUL VAIL! Vail is a loving 6-year-old small Pit Bull Terrier-Bully girl in need of a foster or forever home. She is white as snow and hence was named after Vail, Colorado! Vail has many wonderful traits... she loves people and am quite the snuggler. She also loves her crate, and would gladly sleep in it at night (though would probably prefer your bed.) She is not destructive in the house and am overall a joy to have around. She's also quite playful. There are a few things to work on still. At about 45 lbs., Vail is a small but strong girl, and could use some leash training. She's also best as an only dog in the house, where she can get all of the love and attention, as she is not a fan of other dogs. Vail would love a warm bed, a person or people to love her and a chance to go for a walk, hike or road trip! Can you foster or adopt Vail? She's currently in Washington but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M ROOTIE, and my story is a sad one. I was originally saved from a shelter many years ago, and just this past summer, I was rescued from a homeless encampment in Southern California. So now I'm safe, but I'm still a bit shy/timid in my new surroundings. I really need a home with a soft bed and a person or people to love me and be patient, while I get adjusted to being loved. I may take just a little bit to come out of my shell, as I'm nervous in new situations, but I deserve a wonderful home for once in my life. I'm 8 years old now, but in good health. I weigh about 60 lbs. Can you please foster or adopt me? I'm currently still in California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for a foster or adoption application.
