HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old pit/lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. I'm super cute with my red & white coloring and my speckled ears! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate, so couples may not be the best for me because I don't want to share the person I bond with and love. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I'm still quite agile and have been known to jump over a fence in my younger days. I'm not all that trustworthy around other dogs, especially male dogs, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the home. I'm still in good health and I'm basically looking for my forever companion to go for walks or hikes or simply watch TV and snuggle. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and timid. While there, I had kennel mates, and I'm currently in a foster home with other dogs. I'm still shy, but am a work in progress. I'm starting to come out of my shell, and I can be petted now. I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Oregon. I weigh only about 40 lbs. Please email for an application.

MEET ROMEO, a handsome, loyal, protective Black Mouth Cur. Romeo is a gorgeous 6-1/2-year-old male, and he weighs about 74 lbs. (His shelter paperwork says shepherd-boxer mix). Romeo loves to walk, hike and be with his person or people. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who loves to hike and go on exciting journeys! Romeo is a great guard dog and can be protective with people he does not know, so would do best in a non-congested area where neighbors aren't a concern or with an experienced adopter. Romeo also has a prey drive, so needs a strong owner. He has done great with other dogs in a home setting. He's incredibly smart, affectionate, and will attach to his person or people. His bond is very strong. He is not a big fan of kids. Romeo is easy to groom, is playful, and loves a good belly rub! He will benefit from exercise, and people who understand his breed. HI - I'M ROOTIE, and my story is a sad one. I was originally saved from a shelter many years ago, and just this past summer, I was rescued from a homeless encampment in Southern California. So now I'm safe, but I'm still a bit shy/timid in my new surroundings. I really need a home with a soft bed and a person or people to love me and be patient, while I get adjusted to being loved. I may take just a little bit to come out of my shell, as I'm nervous in new situations, but I deserve a wonderful home for once in my life. I'm 8 years old now, but in good health. Kalie loves going for walks, exploring, and keeping an eye out for squirrels to chase! But when the adventures are over, she`s more than happy to settle in for some quality cuddle time. And does this girl LOVE affection! Kalie absolutely adores pets and snuggles. She`s a devoted little cuddle bug who loves being close to her people and sleeping in bed with her humans. Kalie gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home and has no interest in the birds in the home but on walks she is VERY interested in cats and squirrels so best to be in a cat free home. She`s doing well with her house-training, staying accident-free overnight and when her foster family is home. She has had a few accidents when left alone for a full workday, so she`d appreciate a family who can offer a mid day potty break or access to a doggy door. Kalie is the perfect combination of spunky little adventurer and affectionate companion! This sweet girl deserves a forever home filled with love, cozy beds, squirrel-watching opportunities, and plenty of snuggles. Could Kalie be your new best friend? Meet Aspen, a chihuahua who may have some terrier in her. She loves people, although she takes a little time to warm up to them. Aspen still has a bit of puppy in her, but is toilet trained, and good at letting you know if she needs to go. As a young dog, Just 1 year old, she is still working on following commands. She is fairly good at going into her crate, walking on a leash, and will come when called. Sit, stay, and heel are a bit hit or miss. She’s also learning to live with cats. She can be nice and sit with them, but if the cat runs, she wants to chase. Did I mention that she loves people? She does best when she’s around humans and loves to cuddle. She may whine for a bit when left alone. As a young dog, if she is bored, she might shred some of your stuff. She’s a very sweet dog, even if she does misbehave sometimes, and she’d love for you to adopt her!
