Story
Ellie is 5 yrs old, only 40lbs. She originally came from Texas but I got her at 6 months from a couple after their other dog didn’t accept her. She is a sweetest girl who looooves people, the sunshine and cuddling up under the blankets. Making this decisions is very difficult for us. As a single working parent with two young boys, I don’t feel like she’s getting the life she deserves. Ellie has confidence issues after being attacked by a dog at a park twice. I have done countless hours of training and she does respond to some of the training well but I am a single working parent with two young boys and sadly don’t have the bandwidth to truly help her. Best situation- no other pets, only teenager +, someone that’s home a lot and loves to cuddle. She is crate trained. Hates car rides. Loves the vet (but not the nail trims). Will resource guard food from animals or small kids. Lives with an early cat now but hates the neighbors cat so not sure how’d she do.

charlie is s love! He loves to protect us from other dogs. he was a rescue dog himself. he loves all people and the children in our neighborhood. He is 10 years old and we have had him since he was a year old. He's grown up with us. He never barks unless he's warning us of something. He loves his walks. he's very playful and energetic will also take a nap with you. He's always ready for some playtime, or he will just sit with you. very compliant but playful. wonderful dog. I'm on my own and handicapped. So this is not going to work anymore.

Story
Gypsy is in need of a good home asap! She is my elderly mother’s dog who has become very ill and unable to care for such a large dog. I currently have 4 pets and shoes doesn’t get along with my female dog so we unfortunately cannot keep her. She is up to date on shots, spayed and house trained but needs a little more basic training and has not been socialized much at all. She loves people, loves to cuddle, play with her toys and be goofy. She is super sweet and deserves a good home with an outdoor space and someone who will take the time and patience to train her and give her the life she deserves! The sooner she can get that the better for her. She would probably do best in a house without any other pets (especially female dogs) and smaller children.

Husky Rottweiler

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Luna is about 9 months old, with a presumed May birthday. I adopted her at 14 weeks old from an adoption place. Luna gets along with kids, other dogs, and likes to ‘play’ with my 3 cats. She does great with a fenced yard only barks at ‘strange’ people she doesn’t know. She is very playful and enjoys walks and fetch (although has not figured out to bring the ball back yet. lol). She goes directly into her crate at night and prefers to be inside mostly. She is 90% potty trained. Depends if she can hold it (when no one is home) and rarely will have accidents on a washable, reusable dog pad. I’m extremely sad to see her go but I am moving to Connecticut and can’t take her. She will make anyone who adopts her happy. Price comes with crate, clothes, brand new walking leash and harness, brand new collar that includes zapping or vibrating, and really good food/water bowl.

Story
Reign is a stunning blue female Doberman who we rescued out of a California shelter after she had been there over a month. Reign was very neglected and underweight. We are working on showing her the good life in foster and helping her gain weight! - 45 pounds but should weigh 55 pounds - Approximately 3 years old (this is an estimate by our vet) - Adores people and has no stranger danger. She loves everyone, men, women, gentle kids. She even climbs into her foster dad's lap for cuddles. Total Velcro dog with the typical Doberman lean into you. - Good with other dogs and prefers slow introductions. She is fostered with a female Shepherd mix and her foster family did slow introductions the first few days and it's going wonderful. Both dogs are even sleeping next to each other now. Reign would do best with calmer dogs that are not dominant or very hyper. - No cats. She does seem to have a prey drive. - Great mix of energy when you want it and the ability to relax and settle into the home - Huge food drive. This may be in part to Reign's starvation state but she is very food motivated and a fast eater. A slow feeder bowl really helps her to slow down at meal times. She does need boundaries around food with people and other dogs as she tries to gobble what food she can get. Her foster family feeds her in her crate during their meal times so that she enjoys her own food while they are eating theirs. - Good with gentle kids and fostered with kids ages 7+ years old. We are recommending kids ages 7+ if there are kids in the home. - Very much loves soft beds, blankies and a cozy indoor life. She will appreciate sweaters and jackets to keep her warm during cold Oregon months. - Sleeps in her crate at night and does well with that. It can take her a couple minutes to settle but she then sleeps through the night. - Perfect potty habits in foster so far - Good on leash but does seem interested in chasing cars that pass. Her foster family is working on this tendency since they live in a high traffic area. Reign is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $300 adoption fee Fostered in SE Portland, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT REIGN ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG
