Story

We found Shelby, at the Multnomah County Animal Shelter about a year and a half ago. She had been abused, abandoned, and left feral (for an assumed 6 months) by her previous owners before being rescued. Due to this traumatic past, she has “Small Animal Issues” and tends to be extremely dominant in situations around them. Never biting, but aggressively assertive and tends to nip. She has never drawn blood, nor has she bitten a human. She is very loving, kind, and gentle. Especially around children. Our 7y.o. granddaughter adores her, and Shelby reciprocates that emotion. She IS the Alpha, and needs to be the only pet for a loving, strong, patient, and experienced owner (family) who doesn’t mind sharing the couch, bed, personal space, and car!!!🤗😃🥰We hate to rehome Shelby, but our living situation has taken a drastic turn and we have no choice. She really is a sweet girl, she just needs love and training.SERIOUS RESPONDENTS ONLY PLEASE…She deserves a wonderful and happy life!!!

Chloe is a sweet loving friendly dog. She is 8 years old. Born February 2018. She's a chihuahua terrier mix. Up to date on vaccines and Rabies is good for another 2 years. She weighs approximately 12 lbs. She's long hair. She loves to play tug of war and fetch with her stuffies. She loves her monkey that she's had since she was a puppy. She eats dry and wet food. I usually feed her Rachel Ray's nutrish dry and Purina pro plan wet food. She doesn't like the ground wet food. Only the shreds with gravy. She doesn't like bones. She loves to go walking. She usually can walk an hour with me when I have time. She is potty trained and leash trained. She will come with all of her belongings. Her food, crate, toys, etc. She is such a good girl and needs a home with a yard to run around in. She needs someone to walk her and give her lots and lots of time and attention. She is a lap dog. Will love to sit with you as you watch tv.

Because of this, she would do best with a retired or older adult who is home most of the day and enjoys a quiet lifestyle. Once she feels safe, she is incredibly loyal and loves nothing more than relaxing beside her person. She isn’t looking for adventure—just peace, patience, and someone who will love her for who she is. I will be very selective because she deserves the perfect forever home. He's been our baby for 8 years, but now that we've brought our baby home, he's not doing well with the adjustment. He would love to be your only baby! Grown kids or just want a furbaby? You've hit the jack pot!!! Super smart, loves other dogs, knows lots of tricks. Kennel trained if needed, and also okay being left out and has never misbehaved. House-trained, food motivated, loves walks and off leash hikes! He's also trained on an e-collar. We want the best life for our boy, and keeping him separate from us has been hard on everyone.
