Story
Hello! My name is Lily. I am 9 1/2 years old and have been living with my current family for over 3 years. They love me very much and have two children under 5 that really like to give me pets and snacks. I am deaf and I do respond to some signs. My biggest challenges are that I am a reactive dog. I am very protective of my family. I do struggle on walks because I really enjoy smelling flowers and other animals that have traveled through my neighborhood. I do not do well with other animals, especially small dogs. Most recently I bit our neighbors hand because I was feeling protective of my Dad and she put her hand out to pet me and I did not like that. I need a lot of space and a nice backyard. Most of the time I am a really great dog and I like to sleep a lot. My favorite hobby is laying in the sun. For my future home, I need someone that will be able to spend a lot more time with me and is able to understand I do not mean any harm when I play hard.
