Story
We got him from a family friend. Born 10-02-2023. He needs someone who has time to play and walk around with him, he loves to cuddle and is very patient when getting bathed (as long as the water is warm). He’ll eat all day if you let him and is smart with interactive toys/meals. He knows how to sit, shake, wait and when given a bowl of food will wait till someone says bon appetite or motions with their hand to go ahead. He enjoys bully sticks and frozen treats/meals. Doesn't have too much experience on a leash and doesn't like getting his ears cleaned or nails trimmed. He’s never shown any signs of aggression. Never had any accidents indoors and is kennel trained.

Story
Looking for a well mannered, big dog with a soft temperament and a tender and loving personality? Temu is a shy, sweetheart of a dog with a rough past who is looking for kind humans for his future. Temu showed up at a rescuer's home in California in the middle of the night back in November 2025. He was scared and lost and she took him in and began working with him to help him realize that the world is safe and how to live in a home. Temu has also completed a month long board and train to build his skills too! He is a dog with soft temperament hoping to land with an adopter that will help him continue to build his confidence. - Approximately 18 months old and 75 pounds - Likely a Doberman/German Shepherd mix - Good with other dogs including small dogs. He would appreciate a fun, playful dog in his future home. Ideally not a dog that is bossy or dominant. Temu has a nice play style and reads other dogs well. He can be very neutral to other dogs also. No leash reactivity noted. - No information on cat compatibility yet. We are trying to find a cat to test him with. - Kids ages 13+ if there are kids in the home, only because Temu is a nervous guy and younger kids could be too loud and energetic for his comfort. He can be around kids safely, he just prefers a calm home. - Shy guy who warms up with treats, gentle encouragement, soft petting and coaching. Good with both women and men. - Walks really help Temu come out of his shell and explore the world through sniffing. He is not a hard puller on leash and is fairly light on the leash. But he can spook a little at sudden, loud noises. He recovers well though and keeps on with the walk. - Crate trained and doesn't mind being in his crate at all. It is his safe place and he will often go in his crate to nap and relax. Sleeps in his crate at night. - Has had two potty accidents during his first week in foster but does pretty well about going potty outside consistently. - When guests come to the home, Temu is reserved and generally does not approach. He does not growl, bark or jump on guests. He is very meek and just gives them space. As they stay longer in the home, he gets curious and will start to come by to check the new people out. Treats help so much with him making friends. - Loads in a vehicle and does well for car rides. No car sickness observed. - Knows sit, down, place, come and stay from the time during his board and train. - Got into the dog wash station on his own and stood nicely for a bath. Temu has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative and is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin. $250 adoption fee Fostered in Oregon City, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT TEMU ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
He’s a great dog, we got him for our daughter who’s 2. So he’s a little over a year old now, born in February. He’s great inside with just laying around, our daughter can do literally anything to him and he loves it. So a great family dog, not a lot of energy and is ok with laying around all day. Our problem is that we are a working farmer, and we have had several instances where he’s killed our chickens and even a lamb ones. He hasn’t seemed them out, it’s been if they get out and enter his area he goes after them but obviously on a farm that’s not really something we can have. We are really sad about making this choice, it’s going to break our daughter’s heart but I can’t in good conscience keep a dog that will kill my livestock. Loves humans and just wanted attention, plays very good with other dogs. Has great obedience, recall and manners.

Story
Viola is available through Project POOCH. If you are interested in adoption, learn more and submit an application at pooch.org/viola Angel, sweet, perfect, demon, cuddly, goofy, silly, lovable, loyal, playful, exuberant, beautiful, amazing eyes, best friend forever—these are all words and phrases that apply to Miss Viola. At 8 months old she is still very much a puppy and learning every day. We see the progress she has made during her time at POOCH. She knows her basic cues—her sit is on point!—She walks well on leash, makes friends easily, loves to play with other dogs, and has learned to self-soothe when left alone. Viola is very smart and can learn quickly. She is going to need someone who wants to continue the work we have started with her. She's very food-motivated and eager to learn. If you are willing to put the time into raising a teenager, you are going to end up with a best friend for life. Viola does really well with her dog friends at POOCH, and she could be a great addition to a dog home. When going on adventures, Viola would love to be included! She is a brave girl who is gaining confidence in the world. If you’re looking for a buddy to join your adventures, she would be an excellent choice. Continue building her confidence, and you’ll have an amazing hiking partner as she has the energy to get up and go, but can settle for the drive back home. Like any puppy, Viola would benefit from continued training classes as she grows. Not only will that help her in her ‘teenage’ phase, but it can help a bond form! She could possibly blossom in dog sports or be a trick champion, but needs a partner to do so. If you’re looking for a couch potato, she is probably not the puppy you need. Project POOCH will provide 3 1-hour sessions with a Project POOCH dog trainer (in person if you live within a 1-hour radius of Woodburn, or virtually if you live farther out). Our Adoption process includes a meet & greet at our kennel inside Maclaren Youth Correctional Facility, and a home/overnight visit, where we bring Viola to you, help you set up your home for her, and she can stay with you for 1 night to 2 weeks to see if she is a good fit for you. We want to help setup Viola to be a successful addition to your home. Interested? https://www.pooch.org/adoption-application

Story
Daisy is truly a very good dog. I am moving into a smaller apartment and I do not think it’s fair for her to be in a smaller apartment. I don’t like that I am posting this, but I want her to have a great life. Daisy loves dogs and children. She will. Bark at other dogs until she can sniff them (she is quite literally all bark and no bite). She’s not been around cats, I would like to assume she’d be good around them, but don’t want to guarantee. Daisy is also potty trained, she is still a puppy. She’s only about a year old, so I won’t promise she won’t have a few accidents. She will want to be your shadow. She wants to always be around you no matter what room you are in. Even the restroom. She’s a goofy dog with a fun personality. She does not have her rabies shot. Though I am willing to pay for that due to it being my fault she doesn’t. Like I said, it breaks my heart having to do this. But I want her to be loved and happy just like she deserves.
