Story
Freya is good with cats and dogs inside the home but she’s not good with them on the tv. She’s reactive on walks when she sees other dogs or if a person or dog comes into the home and she doesn’t know them. She is good a recalling, loves to play fetch, and loves cuddling. She loves anyone in the main household but needs an around 10minutes to warm up to new people. She’s never bitten anyone but has a loud and powerful bark. She doesn’t bark unless she’s triggered though. She’s good at playing with large and small dogs but their first introductions need to be leashed. She needs someone who has the time to train her. She’s not good on the leash and requires a gentle leader. Otherwise she’s very sweet and goofy. She’s a good guard dog and she’s good with kids too. She doesn’t like violence so if your kids fight physically she may bark and get triggered. She’s a great dog but she needs more work than I am capable of giving and I don’t have the money to hire a trainer for her.

Story
Casper came to us as a local Oregon owner surrender when his owner could no longer keep him due to long 12 hour work days. Casper is shy initially with new people but quickly bonds to his person and then is your little shadow. - 8 months old, 16lbs - Possibly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Pug mix if we were guessing - Fostered with young children and dogs and does really well - Good with cats - Crate trained - Excellent with his potty habits - Good on car rides - Went to work with his foster mom and was polite and easy to have in the office - Can be a little barky seeing new dogs, but we are working on building up this boy's confidence a little more so he's more sure of himself in public settings. Casper is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His neuter surgery is March 13th at our vet in Milwaukie and we cover the cost of his surgery. His adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $400 adoption fee Fostered in Molalla, Oregon Apply to adopt Casper on our website: www.agavedogs.org

Story
Kamber is a darling, squishy, fluffy puppy we rescued from a crowded shelter in California without much adopter foot traffic. We just couldn't say no to this sweet puppy girl's happy face! - Approximately 4 months old and 24lbs currently - Possibly a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. She has rear dew claws which are commonly seen with Great Pyrenees. - Fostered with other dogs and cats and does wonderful with both! - We have not seen her with children but predict that she will be fine with gentle kiddos. - Potty training is coming along well and she generally holds her potty and goes outside most of the time - Stays contained in a puppy pen when her foster parents are not at home and does well with that - Loves her toys! - Walks on leash, knows "sit" and "down." Her foster mom is doing some nice foundation obedience work with Kamber. - Does well on car rides and hasn't gotten car sick Kamber's adoption fee includes her future spay surgery at our vet in Milwaukie, Oregon in a couple of months. She has had two rounds of puppy vaccines, rabies and bordatella. Kamber has been dewormed multiple times and is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in Vancouver, Washington Apply to adopt Kamber on our website: www.agavedogs.org

Story
* ADOPTION FEE WAIVED TO HELP MEEKA FIND A GOOD HOME * Meeka had been at Clackamas County Dog Services for months healing from substantial neglect. Yet her spirit never dwindled! Our volunteers also volunteer at the shelter walking dogs and walked Meeka for months until we finally decided to spring her loose and bring her into our program. - Meeka is an old soul with a little spice! - 7 years old and 50lbs - There *has* to be some herding breed in there, this lady has the ball obsession and smarts that matches those breeds. - Best as an only dog, but can be around other dogs with proper introductions - We will get a cat test done with Meeka to see if she is cat friendly - Kids ages 12+ if there are kids in the home. Meeka prefers a calmer home. - Total ball dog and LOVES to fetch as many times as you'll throw it. BONUS: she brings the ball back to your feet! - Excellent in the car, loads up and doesn't get car sick - Potty trained - Can be mellow and chill in the house or be active and fun outside for a game of fetch - Loves her walks! - A fan of hers once described Meeka, "She looks like she's had such a rough go, but she also looks like she has all the answers to the universe. What a wonderful, pant-less gem." - Meeka's fur may never grow back fully but she has made excellent progress and is getting fluffier by the day. Her special need is that she will need a Cytopoint injection possibly every 2 months to maintain the health of her skin. She also is on a kibble diet that is fish based. We think she's absolutely gorgeous even with her eclectic bare patches! Meeka is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. Adoption fee waived to help Meeka find a loving home. Super is such a *super* little pup! We got him out of a crowded California shelter where there isn't much adoption foot traffic. - 4 months old and 14lbs - We think Super will most likely mature to 30lbs or less but cannot guarantee size at maturity - We took our best guess on breeds with Chihuahua/Pug/Terrier but he probably has quite a few breeds mixed in there. - Fostered with other dogs and cats and does very well with both! - Loves to cuddle and snuggle up - Enjoys his toys - Working hard on potty training in his foster home but he is still a younger puppy and will benefit from routine and supervision Adoption fee includes Super's neuter surgery at our partner vet in Milwaukie, Oregon in April. Super has had two rounds of puppy vaccines, plus rabies and bordatella vaccines, microchip, deworming and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $350 adoption fee Fostered in Beaverton, Oregon Complete an adoption application on our website: www.agavedogs.org

Story
Lynx is quite the funny little character and so cute! We rescued her from a crowded California shelter where the dogs don't get much adopter traction. - 10 months old and 19lbs - She was a stray so we don't exactly know her breed mix but gave it our best guess - Great with gentle kids and fostered with kids ages, 3, 8 and 10 years old. - Good with other dogs and loves to play - Enjoys carrying her toys around and having a little toy party - Lynx is a medium energy level - Still working on potty training as this is the first time she has been in a home and she's still learning the routine Lynx will be spayed in March at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon. Agave Dogs Rescue covers the cost of this surgery. She is fully vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $350 adoption fee Fostered in Tigard, Oregon Submit an adoption application on our website: www.agavedogs.org
