Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST! PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE SHELTER TO MEET HIM. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER   MEET Apollo  also responds to Paul. How cuuute.    Apollo is a good young boy.  His only fault is his energy... his family sort of ended up with him. They feel bad. But they have realized he deserves more than they can give. He is destructive in home when not properly excercised, and hes a jumper, they have a kid and hes too much with the kid. They have tried to work with him, but have realized that they are not the right fit. All of this is fixable and trainable with the right person or family. Hes just young and needs consistency and training    Here's what they answered to my questions:    "Apollo nickname Paul (he responds to both)  Kind of Leash Trained (we dont walk him as much as he needs) Crate Trained No allergies that we know of Hes ok in the car, sometimes throws up He is ok alone in a crate if nothing is around him but he did eat the rug/plastic at the bottom of the crate Recall only when said a couple times but not in a open space maybe like a backyard No idea about cats or dogs ( except his sibling dog he is fine with) We got him from one of my husband friends, he is half lab half heeler   And no rehoming fee we just want him to go to a really good home."    He is 1.5 yrs old. Black Lab/ Heeler. Neutered. And UTD on shots.   March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Beau! Beau is an 8-year-old purebred Black Labrador with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome boy has spent his life as a loved family companion and has lived happily with another dog and with children, making him a wonderful choice for a family setting. Beau is in great health, fully potty trained, and current on all of his vaccinations. Like a true Lab, he lives for playtime — especially when a tennis ball is involved! If you enjoy throwing a ball and watching a happy pup bound after it, Beau will be your perfect partner. While he hasn’t had much exposure to cats, Beau has proven himself to be friendly, social, and well-mannered with people and other dogs. He’s at a lovely stage in life where he still enjoys activity but also appreciates relaxing with his people. &#226&#156&#168 Courtesy Post: This is a courtesy listing. When you apply, we will connect you directly with Beau’s owners to move forward with adoption. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Beau may be the perfect match for you. Story
Meet Nani! Nani is a beautiful German Shepherd Border Collie mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She absolutely adores people and is the kind of dog who will happily soak up all the attention, affection, and belly rubs you’re willing to give. Her sweet nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal and loving best friend.Nani is also a playful, energetic girl who enjoys being active and having fun. One of her favorite games is being chased by her dog friends around the yard—she’ll zoom around happily and keep the party going! When the roles reverse and she’s the one doing the chasing, her Border Collie side shines through. She stalks and chases on overdrive. Her ideal dog companion would be an active male dog who doesn’t mind letting Nani take the lead. She enjoys being the boss and thrives with dogs who are happy to follow her cue during playtime.Because of her strong prey drive, Nani cannot live in a home with cats.Overall, Nani is a loving, lively, and intelligent dog who will make an amazing companion for an active home that can give her plenty of play, structure, and affection. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited dog who will bring joy, energy, and loyalty to your life, Nani might be your perfect match. Come meet Nani and see if she’s the missing piece to your family! What her adoption fee covers:✅ Spay✅ Vaccines✅ Microchip✅ Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Nani? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMay 22, 2026, 6:32 am

Meet Max, A gentle chocolate Lab mix with a heart as warm as his soft brown eyes. This sweet senior boy has known love in his life, and after the passing of his beloved owner, he’s now searching for a safe, caring home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness and comfort.Max is the definition of easygoing. Story
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A COURTESY POST. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER Meet Hank! Hank is a handsome Husky/Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for routine, activity, and companionship. This well-mannered boy is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and kept healthy on monthly Simparica Trio—so he’s ready to head straight into his new home without missing a beat. Hank thrives on structure and would be a perfect match for an active household. He’s used to daily exercise (think two-mile walks twice a day!) and truly enjoys getting out to explore the world with his people. He also regularly attends doggy daycare a few times a week, where he gets valuable social time—and it’s clear he loves being around other dogs. In fact, Hank would do best in a home with a canine companion to help meet his social needs and keep him company. At home, Hank is crate trained and well-behaved, though he’d prefer not to be left alone for long periods. He’s a great travel buddy, rides well in the car, and is comfortable around kids, making him a wonderful candidate for a family setting. Hank is also very in tune with his routine, from his twice-daily meals (with a little treat topper he loves!) to his exercise schedule. He’s the kind of dog who will thrive with consistency and clear expectations. If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion who would love a dog friend and a home that keeps him engaged, Hank might just be your perfect match.
