Story
I will love you so much! I’m a big-hearted, affectionate boy who bonds deeply with my person and loves being someone’s main companion. I was found abandoned in a park. I was very sad but I’m a happy boy now! Want to go for a run? Me too! A hike? Yes please! Car rides? My favorite! Cuddles? 100%! I’ve been clicker trained and learn quickly. I’m about 1, so I still have a lot of adventures ahead of me! I bark when people approach the house but otherwise I keep pretty quiet. I get along well with dogs, and I would love to have a sibling to play with. But being a single dog that gets aaaalllllll the attention would be amazing too!Good to know:• No food aggression• Mild barking • Friendly with strange dogs• Not suitable for cats• Crate trained, large crate included I’m still get working on staying calm around very excited dogs when leashed, but I’ve made great progress. Contact my foster mom at melanie@thisismelanie.com for more info.

Story
Scout is a ~1-year-old neutered terrier/schnauzer mix (medium size, approx. 57 lbs) located in Camas / Vancouver area.He is a smart, active young dog who has a lot of potential and does well when environment is calm and structured. He settles nicely on his own and in his crate once he is in (still have been working on getting him more comfortable going into it) enjoys toys, food enrichment (Kongs, lick mats, etc.), long sniffing walks, and can be affectionate - he loves a good belly rub! He rarely barks, and greets people nicely on walks. The reason we’re seeking a new home is that Scout has high energy and needs a calmer environment. He struggles with impulse control especially during transitions (potty trips, evenings, crate routine, us moving through the house) and needs structured rest time. Because we have young children and a busy household, we’re concerned our home may not be the best long-term fit for what he needs.

Story
Giant is a young, large-breed dog born around April 25, 2025, and joined our family at approximately 5 months old. He is affectionate, laid-back, and loves being part of daily life. Giant gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including our Golden Retriever, Border Collie mix, and family members’ Dachshunds. He has been excellent with children and enjoys attention, belly rubs, bones, swimming, and relaxing outdoors. Giant knows basic commands and has decent leash manners, though he could benefit from additional training and consistency. He has a strong prey drive toward birds and poultry, which is the primary reason we must rehome him. He may occasionally chase running cats but has never shown the same fixation he has with birds. He would thrive in a loving home with plenty of space to roam, such as fenced acreage or a large secure yard. Giant can do well as an only dog or with compatible canine companions. His ideal family will provide companionship, affection, and outdoor time.

Story
Georgia Mae was adopted by our Rescue 5 years ago. Her parents divorced, then the mom gave Georgia to her brother in Arizona. He "lost her" then she ended up on the street a good samaritan found her, found out through micro chip that she was one of our dogs. She is now back at the rescue looking for her new family. She is a WONDERFUL DOG! She just wants to hang with her person. She has been coming over and spending nites with me, she does not get into anything, she gets along with my dog (pictured on here with her) and is fine with the other "littles" we have here. Also, she's not a barker! She talks tho :) TEXT Amy 360.513.8887 for more information/meet and greet.

Story
Bones is a high-energy, playful pup who loves to run, play, and stay active. He’s very intelligent and learns new commands quickly, making him a great fit for someone experienced with dogs or excited to continue his training. He’s incredibly loyal and people-oriented, forming strong bonds with his person while still enjoying time with other dogs. Because he was separated from his mom very early, Bones does have some separation anxiety when left alone—he may bark, but he is not destructive. He would do best in a home where someone is around often and can give him plenty of attention and space to play. Bones has been around a 2 and 4 years old before. he does great when people are around watching him to make sure they’re not getting in his face. (as soon as kids start running around, he thinks they’re playing with him and he will want to join in) it is best to monitor him around children untill you feel you can trust him. bones is the biggest cuddly boy & loves to sleep w his person.
