Story
We have made the really difficult decision to rehome our chihuahua mix, Reuben. The short explanation is that we have a young child and are now accepting that Reuben is a danger to our child as they get older. Moreover, Reuben is clearly not as happy with us as he once was and deserves a loving home. Reuben is a loving, silly, and adorable little dog. His underbite and head tilt are devastatingly cute. He shakes his whole body when greeting new people and trots along when enjoying his walks. He has a bladder of steel and has never been destructive in our home. He is non-reactive to other dogs on walks and infrequently barks (indoors or outdoors). Reuben has separation anxiety, epilepsy, and a bite history. His behavioral problems have improved significantly since we've had him and we are confident he would make someone an excellent companion. If you are interested in learning more, reach out! We hope to be as transparent as possible to ensure that his next home is his last.

Adoption Donation   $ 699   Located: NE  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: Puppy   11 weeks as of 6/16 Mom is a chi we believe dad is a dash!   *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:   friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. Story
Charlie is a purebred male Basset Hound, born February 14, 2025. He was acquired as a puppy and has been a beloved family pet. Charlie is healthy, affectionate, and has the classic Basset personality—sweet, goofy, laid-back, and incredibly people-oriented. He loves attention, enjoys being around both people and other dogs, and is happiest when included in family activities. Charlie is friendly, social, gentle, and food-motivated, which makes him easy to bond with and train. He has a big heart and a wonderful sense of humor. We are looking for a loving, stable home where he will be treated as a family member and receive plenty of companionship, exercise, and affection. Ideally, his new family will appreciate the unique charm of Basset Hounds and have the time to enjoy his loyal and easygoing nature. This is a difficult decision, and finding the right match for Charlie is our top priority.

Story
Meet Monty! Monty is a 5 month old Boxer/Lab mix with huge paws, a goofy personality, and all the makings of an absolute best friend. He loves being part of whatever youre doing, whether thats hanging out outside, splashing around in the water, or tagging along for an adventure. He even wears sweaters like a pro Monty is smart and learns fast. He is crate trained, mostly house trained, and has a nice moderate to low energy level that makes him a great mix of playful and easygoing. He does well with kids and other dogs, but would do best in a home without cats, as he may chase them. He would love a family who will take him places and let him be their sidekick. With his love for the outdoors, hed make an amazing hiking buddy. Monty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home

Story
Meet Demi! This 3-year-old Boxer mix is as lovable as they come. With her soft eyes, big smile, and constantly wagging tail, shell have you wrapped around her paw in no time. Demi is what we like to call extra huggable (yes, a little chunky- currently built more like a sausage than a supermodel), but that just means more to cuddle! Shes recently started a new diet, so shes officially on her health kick journeythough if you ask her, shed still prefer pizza over Pilates. Demis personality is just as wonderful as her looks. Shes sweet, silly, and has a way of making everyone laugh. She gets the zoomies like a puppy, does a little dance when shes happy, and soaks up attention like its her job. Shes friendly with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her a perfect fit for just about any family. Shes also the full package when it comes to mannerscrate trained, housebroken, spayed, and fully vaccinated. Demi is ready for her forever home, where she can keep working on her glow-up while spreading love, joy, and belly laughs every single day.
