Story
Meet Boomer! An adorable Beagle with all of the quirks of your classic hound. He is a talkative guy, and he'll let you know when he wants to chat. Boom is also the type to chase after little forest creatures outside, which is pretty typical for his breed, he thinks he is just doing his job! Of course his antics are manageable, especially if you have hound experience and are familiar with his funny nature. We think he has the ability to make friends with dogs, but he does like to go slower and on his own terms. He doesn't like when anyone comes on too strong to him. If you are interested in Boomer, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with him at any time. Feel free to visit our website, www.potterleague.org, for more information on adopting from us.

Story
Ella has mastered the art of the Boston Terrier expression — equal parts curious, determined, and just a little bit dramatic. Small in size but huge in personality, this little lady makes sure she’s the main character wherever she goes and has absolutely no intention of blending into the background. At 11 years young, Ella is a bright, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with her people and loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. Whether she’s following you from room to room, supervising your daily routine, or settling in for some well-earned snuggle time, she simply wants to be near her person. Ella is also one smart cookie. She knows sit, lay down, and spin, and she isn’t shy about reminding you when it’s time for snacks — she firmly believes treats are a love language. Playful, alert, and engaged, she still has plenty of pep and enjoys short bursts of fun followed by cozy downtime. Like many seniors, Ella has a few ongoing health needs that we are actively managing. She will benefit from a guardian who can provide a little extra TLC, and our team will be happy to share more about her care and what that may involve. What matters most is that Ella’s spirit is full of life, love, and devotion — she’s ready to give her whole heart to someone special. Ella would be happiest in a calm home where she can soak up attention, enjoy a predictable routine, and be the one-and-only pet in her person’s world. In return, she’ll offer constant companionship, daily entertainment, and the deep, loyal bond that only a truly devoted dog can give. If you’ve been hoping for a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Ella just might be your perfect match. If you’re interested in Ella, we welcome you to visit our Animal Care & Adoption Center in Middletown, RI to meet her in person, call us at 401-846-8276, or learn more at www.potterleague.org.

Story
Meet Honey Bun! A sweet adult dog that loves to play and get all of the loving she can. She has been affiliative and affectionate when meeting new people. Honey Bun wants nothing more than someone to join her on her adventures and crash with her on the couch. She does well with other dogs, but she would likely prefer a less playful dog. She enjoys playing by herself with toys rather than playing with another dog. Honey is a smart dog and has the potential to be an amazing dog for any family! If you are interested in Honey Bun, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with her at any time. Story
Dream is the kind of dog who keeps life interesting—in all the best ways. She’s curious, playful, and always up for whatever comes next. Whether she’s chasing tennis balls, splashing in the pool, or happily entertaining herself with a favorite chew, Dream knows how to enjoy the moment. She’s a thoughtful busybody who finds comfort in her routines, especially when she has sturdy toys and chews to help her settle and relax. Give her a good bone or a hard toy, and she’ll close her eyes, lie down, and contentedly soothe herself—it’s one of her many endearing quirks. Dream is affectionate and loves being close to her people, soaking up pets whether she’s mid-play or fully relaxed. She’s not your classic couch potato—she’s more of a “keep you smiling, keep you engaged” kind of companion, perfect for someone who enjoys an interactive, entertaining dog with a big personality. She’s spent time in a home with older kids and would likely thrive with a family who appreciates her playful spirit. Dream is selective with her dog friends and is most at ease in a home where she’s the only dog, allowing her to relax and truly enjoy home life. If you’re looking for a dog who brings enthusiasm, connection, and heart into your everyday life, Dream may be exactly the companion you’ve been waiting for. Ready to meet her? Call us at (401) 846-8276 or visit our Adoption Center to spend some time with Dream. Just a heads-up—she has a habit of making a lasting impression.
