Story
Meet Winston! A special boy looking for someone willing to be patient and allow him to get comfortable in his own time. Winston is a timid and quiet dog when he is getting to know you. He shows his puppy energy once he feels safe in his environment, but it does take him lots of treats and baby talk to get there. He would do best in an adult-only home that understands his personality. Winston must go to a home with another dog so he can learn a bit more about this whole dog thing. He has some experience with cats, but from what we know he will chase them so he would probably do best without them. Winston will be an adoption through our behavior department to ensure the best fit for him, so if you are interested in adopting him best reach out to abrzozowy@potterleague.org with any questions. Feel free to give us a call at (401)846-8276 for further information or visit our website, www.potterleague.org, for more information on adopting from us.

Story
Yeehaw—make way for Cowboy! This four-year-old charmer is ready to lasso some hearts with his rugged good looks and playful, free-spirited ways. With a sparkle in his eye and a nose for adventure, he’s happiest under the open sky, soaking up fresh air and following whatever trail catches his fancy. Whether he’s trotting proudly at your side or exploring new sights and sounds, Cowboy brings a touch of wild-west charm to every outing. His idea of a good time? A round of fetch that ends with a dramatic flop, a roll in the grass, and a triumphant return of the ball for “just one more throw.” He’s a quick study who already knows cues like sit, watch me, and touch, and he shines when he’s out exploring with other dogs—he thoroughly enjoys canine companions and would be thrilled to have a four-legged friend to share the range. Like any true cowboy, he takes a moment to size up new folks before tipping his hat. Give him a little space and a patient introduction, and you’ll soon be rewarded with lean-ins, all-over pets, and cozy hangouts by your side. Cowboy is looking for an adopter who understands that trust takes time and who will enjoy watching his affection blossom. A home with adults or teens will suit him best as he settles in and shows off his loyal heart. Ready to saddle up for your next adventure? Call 401-846-8276 or visit our Middletown, RI Adoption Center to meet Cowboy and see if he’s the partner you’ve been waiting for. To learn more about adopting from us, visit www.potterleague.org.

Story
Meet Stitch! An absolute cutie with a personality that is as sweet as she looks. She is the kind of dog that appreciates someone who is willing to let her go at her own speed, she likes her own space but will definitely approach you when she is ready for it. She is extremely loving and clingy once she is comfortable with you, and she gets comfortable pretty quickly! She does fantastically with other dogs and has a silly play style, Stitch would do well with another playful dog that can mirror her energy. We aren't sure of her experience with cats or younger children since she did come to us as a stray. If you are interested in Stitch, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with her at any time.
