Story
Hi! My name is Jen! I am the sweetest girl! My favorite things are cuddling, chewing on bones and snoozing. I am potty trained and crate trained. I would rather be next to my human than in a crate though, truth be told. I love, love, love to cuddle with my person on the couch as I snore away, sound asleep. I am a happy go lucky single girl looking for my family and would do better with older children. While I do tend to do well making new friends, I would do best in a home where I am the only dog and get all the love and attention. When I am super happy, I do the cutest tap-dancing routine. You will love it! I am a solid girl that is super squatty. I know I am a bit older, but that just makes me wiser. I would love to be your coworker if you work at home. I am super quiet, so I won't interrupt your conference calls (except maybe with my snoring). Are you looking for a sidekick? If so, I am ready to come to you! Story
My name is Tanner! I will be a medium sized dog when I grow up. I bounce into every room as if to say, "Here I am - the party has arrived!" I am polishing up on my puppy behaviors and am very treat motivated. I learned "sit" in no time at all and am working on "down." I sleep quietly in my crate all night. House training is an "almost there" status as I quickly learned the dog door and that helps me. At my foster home I get along with all of the dogs there and love to play. I got to attend doggie daycare where it was said that I was quite the social guy and played well with others. I am really quite smart and my entire focus is on you (and a treat) when I am alone and not distracted with others. I'm ready to learn new things and hope you will give me a chance to be a really loyal companion! Story
Let me introduce myself, I'm Lakota, Kota for short, and I am looking for a family to call my own. My foster family picked me up in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Oklahoma. My previous owner lived in a camper and figured out quickly that I was going to be way too big for that lifestyle and was giving me away. My foster mom has a soft spot for GSD's and brought me to her house in Texas, it was a great ride, I love car rides! I am still a puppy, be it a big one, so I am still learning what's ok for me to chew on and play with. I live with 2 other dogs and a few cats in my foster house. I probably shouldn't go to a house with cats because I like to chase them, I don't want to hurt them I'm just playing with them but they don't exactly like playing with me, go figure CATS! I am still learning about the big, wide world and sometimes can be afraid of new things but usually get over it quickly. I am housetrained and will let you know when I need to go out. I will require a family that will work with me to become the best dog that I can be. Do I sound like the perfect puppy for you? If you would like to meet me please reach out to my friends at habitat4paws.org and ask about me. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
Hi, my name is Laredo and I am 3 yrs old! I am a big lap dog and love to be right with my person. My life before rescue was not the best, so I was a bit afraid of new people and dogs when I came to Habitat 4 Paws. My fosters saw what a good dog I could be with a little reassurance and Habitat 4 Paws set me up with a great trainer! I am finishing up a month long training and doing great. Everyone says I am super smart and an excellent direction follower. I have learned some good commands, worked on my socialization skills, and am becoming a very confident and happy dog! Now it's time to find my forever family! I think I would like an active family best, to play with, go on walks, and spend lots of time together. I'm good with kids, too! Although I love being the center of your doggie attention, I would be fine sharing the spotlight with another calmer dog. And bonus..... I am crate and potty trained too! If you'd like to meet me, email my people at Habitat 4 Paws. I am patiently waiting!!
